New season, more manager picks! Let's get it rolling by starting off with deciding this season's team managers! Only post in this thread if you would like to signup to manage, any other kind of posts will be deleted and your posting access in Tournament Policy may be revoked. Everyone (past, assistant, and new managers alike) are required to sign up if you wish to manage with no exceptions. You are allowed to sign up as a solo manager (i.e. you do not necessarily have to sign up with an assistant manager anymore.) The draft will be scheduled for weekend of Aug. 31st - Sept. 1st and Week 1 will start on September 9th.

This year there will not be any sort of rebranding. No team will change names and we will provide the logos. The 10 available franchises are:
  • Circuit Breakers
  • Power Plant Dynamos
  • Mt. Silver Foxes
  • Studio Gible
  • Orange Islanders
  • Technical Machines
  • Indigo Platoon
  • Arena Spartans
  • Showdown Shoguns
  • Uncharted Terrors
This year's format is:
  • SV OU
  • SV OU
  • SV OU
  • SV Ubers
  • SV DOU
  • SV UU
  • SV RU
  • SV NU
  • SV PU
  • SV LC
Manager signups will close Friday, August 16th, but may close earlier after a 24-hour notice period. The hosts will announce the selected managers and open player signups shortly afterwards.

Me and Hacker (Slacker) are taking the Foxes so some other LC players can have a chance to get drafted.

EDIT: As advised by our consultant (3D) we have decided to also opt in for the Machines, Platoon or Breakers to continue Hacker and I's 100% managerial playoffs rate

Me and Floss would like to manage the Foxes in this iteration of SCL.

Over the last year and a half or so, between the both of us, we've managed RUPL and PUPL two times each along with all of UUSD, UUBD, UUWC, RUWC, NUPL, NUCL, PUBD, and PUWC; of these 12 tours, we've only missed playoffs once and have won a couple of them too.

Both of us are closely involved with most of the lower tier communities. We also regularly build and play most of the tiers in the tour and consistently have strong showings in tournaments, more often than not. Floss and I are also part of the RU and PU tiering councils, respectively, so overall we are confident that our knowledge and experience with the tiers in question will befit the high standards of this tour.

Moreover, we're close friends and complement each other exceptionally well if the number of tours we've managed together is any indication. Thus, we would love the opportunity to manage this SCL and capitalize on the experience we accumulated managing a range of different tournaments in preparation for this. We would like to take over the Foxes but if that's not possible, then we are fine with any team available.

Signing up with mncmt. Prefer Breakers (we have former managers' blessing), or Machines 2nd choice (I played last year). Down for any team tho

We have been two of the most active and involved lower tier players for probably 3-4 years now. Mence made finals of last year's Grand Slam and is in the top 8 again this year, and I made the top 8 each of the 2 years before that. We've both been very active in lower tier communities - Mence plays almost every lower tier team tournament, and I spend plenty of time yapping in the RU/PU/LC discords (and know each of those communities very well). I've also kept up to date on OU and especially Ubers by testing and being part of the Midwest server throughout this WCOP.

Together, we have a 100% team tour winrate: this year, we managed RUPL and PUBD and won both of them. We have drafted well, and the combination of my tryhard prep and Mence's relaxed attitude and humor has produced very successful teamchats each time. We care a ton about SCL and would put even more energy into this tour.
