Scolipede

Let me pose this question: Is a hard counter even necessary right now in NU? Heck, has a hard counter been necessary at any point in BW? There are a ton of ways you can get Scolipede to stop setting up Spikes / SD, but the most effective way is to keep offensive pressure on it. If you don't give Scolipede a chance to switch in, or at least punish it with SR + a powerful attack when it does, then you've gone a long way in limiting its effectiveness. Scolipede isn't as bulky as most people make it out to be, and even with its great resistances, still takes 25% + however much else when switching into SR. CB Sawk can 2hko after SR I believe with Close Combat.

It's a really great Pokemon, but it's far from suspect. I'd rather suspect Jynx (again) than suspect Scolipede.

To be perfectly honest, I think Scolipede has a place in any tier due to incredible speed, Spikes, great coverage and sweeping potential (much like how Ditto may work in any tier), but its fraility really limits how much it can do at a time. There's no denying that it's really dangerous though, either as a passive threat with Spikes / Baton Pass or a direct offensive threat with Swords Dance. Some have even been known to do both.
