Scraggy (Analysis)

Dragon Tail can be used to phaze potential counters, and this works particularly well on the ShedRest set. </p>

In the Other Options section, you need to remove the space between "set." and the "</p>"

Since Gligar has been banned, can we change the last slot? I think it should be

Hi Jump Kick/Zen Headbutt

Hi Jump Kick hits ridiculously hard and allows it to OHKO opposing Mienfoo and other similar things. Zen Headbutt is cool for Croagunk, but Hi Jump Kick kind of dominates everything else.

Likewise, please switch Drain Punch and Brick Break in the Bulk Up set, or just remove mention of Brick Break entirely. As many have said before, if their answer to Scraggy is to screen it, then you set up on them and, when the screens end, you win. Though the Gligar ban was recent, I don't know why this was stamped as done with Brick Break as the primary option.

Finally, in the Choice Scarf set, please remove the secondary slash for Hi Jump Kick, and use Hi Jump Kick to replace Ice Punch. Ice Punch isn't needed anymore with Gligar.

In essence:
Dragon Dance should have Dragon Dance/Drain Punch/Crunch/Hi Jump Kick.
Bulk Up should have Bulk Up/Rest/Drain Punch/Crunch.
Choice Scar should have Drain Punch/Zen Headbutt/Crunch/Hi Jump Kick.

I'm not a member of QC, but I think these changes should be made. If any QC members want to weigh in, you can.

Drain Punch really should be the only option there. The healing when Scraggy attacks is a lot better than breaking Bronzor's screens.

Hi Jump Kick over Ice Punch on the other two sets seems to be the standard, though I'd like more opinions on whether Zen Headbutt or even Head Smash deserve slashes with it. I'm iffy on them at best and would probably leave them off.

I do agree with everything Blarajan has posted, especially regarding the ShedRest set. You will 'beat' Reflect Bronzor regardless of whether or not you run Brick Break... Drain Punch is always the better option on that set.

EDIT: On the first set, HJK should definitely be the main option, but also I think Taunt, Head Smash, and Zen Headbutt deserve AC mentions too as they beat random checks that would otherwise beat Scraggy.

If the final slot on the first set is changed to HJK, the EV Spread should be changed to 236 Atk / 36 Def / 212 Spe for reasons explained in this post.

Because of Crux's newfound disinterest in this thread and through the permission of Diana, I am going to take it over. There will be a few set changes to take into account the results of the previous suspects. I request new QC checks when I make the thread. It'll be up by tomorrow.
