so i was thinking of how great tyranitar is, and realised that ferrothorn has full immunity to sandstorm and how leech seed does pretty good as well, and what most sandstorm teams lack is recovery. but then i came to the hurdle of the uber'd garchomp, and looked for a replacement. choice banded flygon. of course it isnt up to par with garchomp, because thats been banned from ou, so i figured this to be the next best thing with resistances to sandstorm. it actually turned out to be a pretty good sweeper. then i thought of empoleon, which is an awesome pokemon all round, and gets rid of my fear of having two pokemon the same type, because ferrothorn + empoleon are complete different typing (sorta). ferro against EQ is a neutral, so they don't share the same for that. empo doesn't share quad weakness to fire, or neutral to flying. completely different typing. standard blissey holding leftovers to shrug off all sandstorm damage, and landorus because it is a beast with an amazing ability.

Tyranitar, one of the most used pokemon in the OU tier. The pseudo-legendary Dark/Rock hybrid has been somewhat a god in its reign since the near very beginning. He is the key component to the SeedStorm team, and will start by SR'ing, being faster than the opponent and if it still survives, will swap out into Ferrothorn. Tyranitar has just laid out a Sandstorm, and a Stealth Rock layer, making it increasingly hard for the opponent to fend off the uprising. I preffered Scarf over Band because I could never get it faster than the opponent. I never really had success with Tyranitar until this one, where before its base attack was below 130, it was about just under 120, and it sucked donkey balls on the Battle Subway. So this is it's confident replacement which definetely does its fearsome reputation proud.
Adamant Ferrothorn @Rocky Helmet
Trait - Iron Barbs
30 Atk/222 Def/252 SpDef
-Thunder Wave
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball
- Spikes
OH MY DEAR GOD THIS THING IS A BEAST. It was EV Trained whilst holding Macho Brace, so the Speed is especially low, placing Gyro Ball at its max. This is the ultimate mix between Tank and Physical Wall, and I think I might be in love with BarbHelmet, even when raising this to Level 100, one Fake Out would deplete around a third of the opposition's health, and i would take around 5 HP. Open with Spikes, then Leech Seed or Thunder Wave to your prefference, or to suit the situation. If you can manage to get three layers of Spikes, it is a godsend. Each switch the opponent makes will be resulting in loads of damage. Gyro Ball deals damage like a boss, and there has been an occassion or two where Ferrothorn has taken out 2 Pokemon solo, and puts a great stop to Sweepers.
Jolly Flygon @Choice Band
Trait - Levitate
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Speed
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
-Outrage
-U-Turn
Flygon has been, since Gen III, my all-time favourite Pokemon. In Sapphire, I raised it until Level 100, anticipating that it learned Earthquake, and I couldn't teach it to him because I used the TM on Swampert, which was only replaced by Kyogre. It was a major dissapointment, but since I Pal Parked it to Platinum, then Poke Transferred it to Black, I got it into a Trapinch egg and using it in my team was like a little party. This set is so good in a sandstorm its scary. If your cards had been played right, or there had been a couple switches on the foe's team due to paralysis, low health, uselessness, etc, Flygon would Outrage them down. Had ended a game completely by 3 Outrage OHKO's in Super Single Train at Battle Subway. All in all, this legendary creature is no more shadowed by Garchomp, and thoroughly deserves its place in OU now.
Modest Empoleon @Smooth Rock
Trait - Torrent
16 HP/252 SpA/240 Speed
-Flash Cannon
-Grass Knot
-Ice Beam
-Surf
My starter in Platinum, again, brought into Black, turned into an egg and then EV trained. Empoleon is my counter to other Sandstorm teams, Sunny Day teams, Hail teams, and Rain Dance teams. This is an anti-weather weapon, and can take down Gliscors, Flygons, Garchomps, Jellicents, etc. Whats also great about Empoleon on here, is that its one of the best counters to Ice Types I've ever seen. With quad resistance to ice, its an amazing switch out from Landorus/Flygon, and even Ferrothorn if Fire strikes. Flash Cannon will usually OHKO any Ice type, and though outsped by Weavile, it won't be able to take down Empoleon with ease, and it will be able to knock it out in one hit Flash Cannon. If Empoleon could learn Sandstorm it would be perfect. Holding Smooth Rock, Empoleon is constantly switched in, so it will increase Sandstorm's duration as an added bonus.

YAAAAAAY, everyone loves Blissey, right? Well, love to use it probably but once you're pinned up against one you could be pretty much screwed. Known as the best Special Wall to ever exist, Blissey still looks down on the newly discovered Eviolite Chansey, and even Regice, Snorlax, etc. The fat angel is great fun to use, and everyone loves being able to 3-4HKO nearly anything, right? Yeah. That's the fun in Seismic Toss. And with Blissey's seemingly undepletable health, it makes a formidable foe. Toxic against any unparalyzed foes, Wish and Softboiled to stay in the game. Blissey is pretty much self-explanatory, which is why it's hard to explain it in full because if I don't I'll just get my thread locked again. -.-
Naive Landorus @Life Orb
Trait - Sand Force
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Speed
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
-Rock Polish
-Sandstorm
The last resort. If Sandstorm is needed, then it'll be used. Sand Force gives an amazing boost to the already massive attack, and after just one Rock Polish, this Landorus reaches 606 Speed, which is crazy! I don't really know what I can say about Landorus, except that if used properly, it will win a game if your cornered. The only Pokemon on the team which can activate Sandstorm aside from Tyranitar, and acts as a Physical Sweeper to put that final dent into the opposition.
That's the SeedStorm team, any constructive criticism that can be given will be well appreciated.
