Partially Approved Select default format.

Would be really nice to have an option in the settings to choose a default format. I never play random (or whatever the current default is) I mostly just play VGC and Metronome battles. I'm sure many feel the same.

I think an acceptable solution would also be to default to the most recently played format when loading a new session. So if my last game that I played was VGC 2020, if I refresh and come back, VGC 2020 will be loaded up as default instead of randbats.

That could be also nice for disconnects and such. Sometimes i´m laddering let´s say, Gen3 Rands, and if i get disconnected midbattle, after finishing it I dont even check on what format it´s set, so i end up playing a rated game of a format i´m not laddering but i dont want to lose ELO on it either.

This change in Preact client makes the last starred format your default format

I still think last selected format makes sense, though. So that refreshing doesn't reset it, which might be a bit unintuitive because most other things carry through between refreshes.
