Serperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Tera Type: Steel / Ground
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Hidden Power Fire
- Glare
- Substitute / Tera Blast
Thanks to a high Speed stat and rare combination of Contrary and Leaf Storm, the Regal Pokemon is a potent cleaner and sweeper! Hidden Power Fire is required to hit Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor, which would otherwise beat it. Glare gives Serperior utility for its team and makes would-be checks like Volcarona, Dragonite, and Tornadus-T worry about switching in. Substitute lets Serperior tank a hit and take advantage of the switches it forces or set up on walls looking to stay in like Toxapex. Tera Ground gives Serperior the ability to hit Galarian Slowking and Heatran, which otherwise completely wall it. Tera Steel is an option if running Substitute, letting it shut down Galarian Slowking and flip the matchup on threats like Tapu Lele and Weavile. The given EV spread lets Serperior's Substitute tank Ferrothorn's Power Whip and Rotom-W’s Hydro Pump. Specially defensive walls like Heatran and Galarian Slowking completely wall Serperior if it does not Terastallize, so Pokemon that can take on these two like Landorus-T, Urshifu-R, and Mega Medicham are helpful to have, with the latter two also appreciating the paralysis Serperior spreads with Glare.
