ORAS OU Serperior's Might

Hi welcome to my rmt, serperiors might, featuring the newly released contrary serperior. Serperior is a strange pokemon, at first glance it's stats other than speed are pretty mediocore and it's attacking moepool leaves lots to be desired and then some. However with contrary serperior finds it's self as the only viable pokemon capable of using this ability. It's move pool, while shallow is just enough and no more to gain good use of. With access to a free nasty plot with base 130 damage to abuse it's ability, hidden power and dragon pulse for adequate coverage, serperior demonstrates why it's newly found ability is causing a stir.

contrary ¬.¬
252 SpA / 4 Def / 252 Spe
-Leaf Storm
-Hidden power fire
-Synthesis
-dragon pulse

With a mov pool that can be described as passable at best, serperior has a tough time find varity in it's move set. However thanks to it's ability, serpeior hits like a truck even before unleashing a leaf storm, thanks to the raw base power of the move. Synthesis has now been added to keep serperior healthy for longer. The coverage moves as standard, hidden power fire to main steel types that wall serperior bar heatran and dragon pulse for covrage to hit dragons.

Keldeo -leftovers

Timid
252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Def
-calm mind
-substitute

-secret sword
-Scald

In the advice of theender, i switched keldeo to a calm mind sub set. Allowing keldeo to set up with relitive impunity behind a sub, while freeing up the choice of move, while the addition of gliscor allows the team to deal with physical speed threats such as lopbunny and beedrill.

heatran -toxic orb

Poison Heal
244 HP / 40 Atk / 72 Def / 152 Spe
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Facade
- Roost

On the advice of thender swords dance gliscor joins the team to lay heavy pressure on stall teams. In addition to this gliscor handles threats such as non ice punch lopbunny and beedrill.

Latias -life orb
latios.gif

timid
252 Spa / 252 Spd / 4 Def
-draco meteor
-pyshock
-roost
-surf

Latios tkae the place of latias as the role of keeping the team healthy has fallen on the shoulders of clefable, lessening the need for support and increasing the need for power which latios provides with hsi standard defog attacking set. defog switched to recover on the advice of thender.

Clefable -leftovers
clefable.gif

Calm
unaware
252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpD
-moonblast
-Stealth rock
-Moonlight
-heal bell

Clefable has been changed from a more offensive role to a defensive roles for the team. origonally a calm mind set, on the suggestion of callme, and the addition of scizor to the team, clefable finds it preferring it's new role as a cleric. Wish and flamethrower was removed in favour of stealth rock and moonlight.

Scizor
scizor-mega.gif

light metal
Adamant
248 Hp / 16 Atk / 64 / 180 Spd
-bullet punch
-knock off
-swords dance
-roost

on the suggestion of callmebrandannn, scizor joins the team to dal with pesky fairy's and provide a win condition for the team. With addition nature and eves changed provided by theEnder.

Hey there! I really like this team however there are a few weaknesses you could work on. I can see Mega Gardevoir being a huge problem to this team as you don't have any reliable switch-ins as Heatran is destroyed by a Focus Blast. To remedy this problem, I'd suggest running Bulky SD Mega Scizor > Mega Gyarados. Scizor really helps with your fairy type weakness as well as provides some priority the team currently lacks. However, doing this makes you slightly weaker to Gengar, but the Scizor spread I'm going to give you should be able to avoid the 2HKO as long as there are no hazards on the field. Mega Scizor should also serve as a better Mega Metagross check as Gyarados wasn't a completely reliable one.(Grass Knot and Hammer Arm are quite common on Megagross.)

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 80 Atk / 180 SpD
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off

Because we have Mega Scizor as a win condition, I feel as though CM on Clefable is pretty bad as you'll still beat Mega Sableye 1v1 with Unaware. Instead, I'd change Clefable's EV spread to 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpD and change Calm Mind to Heal Bell. The EV spread lets you live hits from "Life Orb Greninja's Hydro Pump, Life Orb Thundurus's Thunderbolt, Life Orb Latios's Psyshock, and Life Orb Kyurem-B's Ice Beam." Heal Bell also lets Clefable act like a cleric and Clefable will only get better if Greninja is banned.

Now while this final change isn't a must, now that you have a cleric Clefable you could run Latios>Latias. The healing wish support is no longer required on Latias so Latios seems like the better fit for this team. LO 3 attacks + Defog should work.

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Hasty/Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Earthquake/Hidden Power Fire
- Defog

The third moveslot is up to preference. Earthquake nails Heatran which otherwise walls Lati. HP Fire surprised Ferrothorn which could also wall Lati. Other options could be Surf, Thunderbolt, and Roost.

The final suggestion I have to make is running Giga Drain on Serperior. With all the LO recoil as well as hazard damage + damage taken while setting up, Serp can get worn down quickly. Giga Drain can be used over Dragon Pulse or Glare, whichever you think should be dropped.

I hope my rate helped your team succeed in one way or another. GL and hf :].

EDIT: Could you drop an importable if you get the chance? I'd like to take this team on the ladder and try it out if Greninja is banned.

I have a few suggestions for you:

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability : Light Metal
EVs : 164 HP / 252 Atk / 92 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off / Superpower
- Swords Dance
- Bug Bite

You had Bullet punch listed twice. Bug Bite takes advantage of Technician after mega-evolving.

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability : Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Atk
Naive Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Earthquake

Lure Latios that can nuke opposing Heatran, making Serperior's job a lot easier.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability : Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpD
Bold Nature
- Moonblast
- Protect
- Wish
- Heal Bell

Protect lets you heal yourself more reliably as well as scout for moves more easily.

While I do agree with the change from Flamethrower to Protect on Clefable and the change from Surf to EQ on Latios, I disagree with the Scizor change. My Scizor set reliably checks non hp fire Megagross(which is REALLY uncommon) which the team currently has a weakness to. Right now I actually feel like Heatran should be replaced by something, because this team is VERY weak to Mega Aerodactyl. But too tired to think, maybe somebody can think of a replacement?

Hey there malomyotismon, this is a pretty cool team you here :] However, I feel like some of your current movesets are kind of redundant or ineffective, and the team structure could be improved even more. First off, I'll go over the sub-optimal sets on your team: The Clefable you are currently running is going to have an extremely hard time performing its role as a cleric and pivot. When running Wish, Protect is absolutely mandatory, as Clefable is reliant on healing on Pokemon that bearely not 2HKO it, such as Thundurus, Choice Scarf Landorus-T, and the likes. Therefore, I suggest you ruhn Moonlight as your healing move. While it has less power points than Wish, it is actually a reliable way of healing, which again allows you to use Clefable more actively. The current EV spread and nature on Clefable is also kind of illogical. If you are going to be running 96 EVs SpD, you got to have a Calm nature to boot, becuase if not, you're still going to be 2HKO'd by Thundurus's Thunderbolt, which is what the 96 SpD EVs are supposed to enable Clefable to avoid. As for your Scizor set, I feel like the set could be optimized. Running an Adamant nature and 16 EVs in Attack lets you hit a jump point, gaining a "free stat". The loss in physical bulk is not really noticeable, but the difference in damage output is significant. Lastly, I feel like Defog is not needed on your team. You have no weaknesses to Stealth Rocks, and you pressure almost every SR user with the combination Scizor + Keldeo. Thus, changing Defog to Roost on Latios could make your team much less weak to Keldeo and Mega Charizard Y, both of which are currently huge threats.

Becuase you are running Specially Defensive Clefable, Mega Lopunny and Mega Gallade are pretty huge threats to your team. Your matchup against stall teams isn't the best, either. A change that lets you patch up these weaknesses is putting Stealth Rocks on Clefable, and changing Heatran to Swords Dance Gliscor. Having SR on Clefable means you can heavily pressure stall teams with Mega Sableye, as Sableye often is stall teams' only way of controlling hazards. Swords Dance Gliscor in another boon in stall teams' side, as it draws in Mega Sableye and opposing Gliscor, and proceeds to set up on them. Gliscor is also capable of coming in on Lopunny, bar the uncommon Ice Punch variant. It is also a surfire answer to Bisharp, which can be incredibly annoying once Keldeo is weakened. Speaking of Keldeo; adding Gliscor means that the need to revengekill the likes of Mega Lopunny and Mega Beedrill isn't as high. To further improve your matchup against bulkier teams, running Substitute + Calm Mind on Keldeo is a great option. This lets you set up on Alomomola, Slowbro without Psyshock, and Starmie without Psyshock, all of which would otherwise counter Keldeo. Other than this, the team looks great; it seems to handle most threats well, and has the firepower to break through many teams.
