[OVERVIEW]

In theory, Seviper seems like a functional breaker with its decent mixed attacking stats and movepool. In reality though, it struggles much more than one would think due to lacking bulk, an average Speed tier, and a reliance on Sucker Punch without STAB to hit faster threats, leaving it open to offensive pressure from the likes of Stoutland and Pinsir. It also receives some competition from fellow Poison-types in Skuntank, Haunter, and Victreebel, as they have additional utility such as Defog, Destiny Bond, and Strength Sap, respectively, and they all sport better Speed tiers and a secondary typing.

[SET]
name: Mixed Attacker
move 1: Sludge Wave
move 2: Giga Drain
move 3: Earthquake / Flamethrower
move 4: Sucker Punch
item: Life Orb
ability: Shed Skin
nature: Naughty
evs: 8 HP / 56 Atk / 224 SpA / 220 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Seviper can try to catch Poison-type checks such as Mudsdale and Alolan Raichu off-guard with its good coverage and workable power. Seviper's great coverage is a notable trait it has as a Poison-type wallbreaker. However, its mediocre bulk and speed prevent it from being able to wallbreak often, so other offensive Poison-types like Skuntank and Victreebel are superior choices for their better defensive utility and additional STAB.

[OVERVIEW]
In theory, Seviper seems like a functional breaker with its mixed attacking stats and movepool. But in reality, it struggles much more than one would think due to lacking bulk and having an average speed tier, while also sometimes being too prediction reliant, and being stuck with a lackluster type for attacking. IMO LO isn't too prediction-reliant, it just threatens balance really well with its ability to switch between coverage and outspeed most walls. You should instead mention that it's often too reliant on Sucker Punch to do damage given its lackluster Speed stat, so it is easy to pressure offensively. It also receives some competition from fellow Poison-types in Skuntank, Haunter, and Victreebel, Qwilfish is a more common example here as they have additional utility such as Defog, Destiny Bond, and Strength Sap, respectively, and they all sport better speed tiers and a secondary typing.

name: Mixed Attacker
move 1: Sludge Wave
move 2: Giga Drain
move 3: Earthquake / Flamethrower (if you don't slash this, walled by Weezing, Bronzor)
move 4: Sucker Punch
item: Life Orb
ability: Infiltrator Shed Skin --> Infiltrator is illegal with Sucker Punch - if Sucker, use Shed Skin
nature: Rash
evs: 120 Atk / 168 SpA / 220 Spe Speed investment is obv, but what is this custom spread for? If you increase Atk slightly to 156 EVs, you OHKO Aggron and Skuntank after SR:

156 Atk Life Orb Seviper Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Skuntank: 302-356 (86.7 - 102.2%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
156 Atk Life Orb Seviper Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Sandslash-Alola: 187-221 (52.8 - 62.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
156 Atk Life Orb Seviper Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Aggron: 265-312 (94.3 - 111%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Here's my custom spread: 8 HP / 56 Atk / 224 SpA / 220 Spe w/ Naughty Life Orb. It hits these calcs too (with jump pt in Attack), while yielding LO number, and 221 Speed:

56+ Atk Life Orb Seviper Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Aggron: 265-312 (94.3 - 111%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
56+ Atk Life Orb Seviper Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Raichu-Alola: 265-312 (101.5 - 119.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
56+ Atk Life Orb Seviper Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def (AV) Lanturn: 338-398 (86.4 - 101.7%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Seviper can try to catch Poison-type checks mention some Psychic- or Ground-types that Seviper beats: ex. Seviper's Sucker punch OHKOes Alolan Raichu without any prior damage off-guard with its good coverage and workable power. Seviper's mixed capabilities are still something unique to it as a Poison-type wallbreaker Victreebel can actually do this fine, so this mixed wallbreaking is not unique to just Seviper. However, it can have trouble being brought into battle safely and sometimes struggles to force switches this last bit isn't true, so other offensive Poison-types like Skuntank and Victreebel are more optimal choices for their utility and additional STAB.

Its worst points are its bulk and Speed, as well as other Poison-types generally being more useful, so imo focus on these when you're describing Seviper's downsides.
