When the grass doesn't move, just use the radar again. It continues your chain. It's what I did on my Chansey chain when no "rare" patches showed up.
Unfortunately, that one ended at 25 when the fat-ass cow showed up instead of the fat-ass whore.

When the grass doesn't move, just use the radar again. It continues your chain. It's what I did on my Chansey chain when no "rare" patches showed up.
Unfortunately, that one ended at 25 when the fat-ass cow showed up instead of the fat-ass whore.
What about with Magikarp or something? I remember reading somewhere where there was a one hundred percent chance of running into a certain Pokemon whilst in a certain area - I believe it was an EV guide, and that the Pokemon was a water type, so I think that it must have been Magikarp.
It was most likely from using Old Rod or in the water, which won't work with the Pokeradar. :S
My brother saw a shiny Pelipper yesterday, but he didn't have any PokéBalls on him....That's why I always carry around at least 30 Ultra Balls.
Anyways, I only have a few shinies--a shiny Ditto from FR, a shiny Belossom from Sapphire, and a shiny Zubat from my friend's Diamond. My friend is lucky--Diamond is his first Pokémon game, but he found a shiny Golbat AND a shiny Zubat. I was lucky he traded his Zubat over to me.

The only shinies that I had were Ditto in Firered (transformed into the shiny version of the pokemon, so it was cool) and a Gastly in Pearl, which was Careful, ugh. It's now a shiny Gengar, so maybe I could rip off someone on GTS for it
Why not GameFAQs? They have lower standards for trading than Smogon, so try that to get a few TMs.
i think that in GSC that shinies had better IVs, but im not sure.
The only shiny I ever ran into was a Shiny Solrock in Emerald. ^_^

No, they had fixed IVs due to a bug, which were (if I'm not mistaken), downright mediocre.
Also, holy shit, this is an old topic.
Wrong,they had fixed iv's because iv's determined if they were shiny or not.(that's why you could breed for shinies)
IIRC Defense, Speed, and the Special IVs (which were always the same back then) were fixed at 10 for shinies, and the Attack was variable.
i found one shiny so far in sapphire, a shiny wurmple(DOH) after training on E4, i had no fly poke, so i walked to the next town, and i said to my sis:"the only shiny I will ever encounter, will be a wurmple, probably when I'm training without a flyer." the stupid thing: 5 minutes after I said that, it happened:sad:
