Shiny Charm and Masuda Method

I would like to participate in this as well to help with the research!

So far I'm in the process of hatching 150 Vulpix eggs. I am using the shiny charm with a male Japanese Wooper and female English Vulpix

I shall update the post when I've hatched all the eggs and will post my results

edit: Just hatched all 150, no shiny. Going to get to work on 125 more

it won't affect the data if you don't include the non-masuda eggs in your egg count. go ahead and breed what you like, as long as you don't report those eggs we'll be ok :)
 
So, I have my two parents ready, but I don't have the shiny charm. Is there any easy way to transfer Pokemon from Black to X? I'm tired of having to move them all to Box 1 individually.

not that i know of. i literally had to go through this entire process ad nauseum

1- load black
2- fill box 1
3- load poke transporter
4- transfer contents of box 1 to transporter
5- load X
6- bring contents of transporter into box 1 in X
7- repeat LITERALLY 30 TIMES
 
I would like to participate for as long as it takes me to hatch a perfect Porygon. I have currently hatched 55 eggs, with a shiny on the 52nd. I will edit this post as I hatch more.
 
update to post 1089:
completed the next batch of 100 eggs using the same parents (eng + jap dratini), zero shinies.

starting another batch of 100 with the same parents.
 
I'm pledging 500 eggs total

Batch1: 100 eggs 0 shinies.
Batch2: 100 eggs 1 shiny, egg #188
Batch3: 100 eggs 0 shinies
Batch4: 100 eggs 0 shinies
Batch5: 100 eggs 0 shinies

Totals: 500 eggs, 1 shiny

it baffles me that people hatch eggs in batch amounts that aren't divisible by 30. does it not seem easier to report every 90 eggs you hatch instead of having to track that last awkward 10? just fill 3 boxes, hatch them, and report
 
Wow. I put the shiny egg hatching on hold for a bit seeing how the lists were trolled. Restarted today and after 48 eggs (!!!!) hatched a shiny Amaura. It is a pale white, and not that different from it's regular color so it took me by surprise!

Will keep up the work with next shiny on the list being Rotom (using JP ditto and english rotom, both Kalos native). Will pledge 450 more eggs aiming for total at about 1500.

We aren't using that spreadsheet anymore :/ it kept getting trolled so there's a new 1 that is locked so only 1 person can update it. This way we don't get trolled anymore
 
Good to know! What's the most up to date estimate for shiny rate?

Also - whoever is updating, feel free to update my results as described above!
 
I'm gonna get in on this too. Just worked on my shiny gible for three days straight and got it. I'm going to work in a shiny eevee. Spanish Ditto with a Vaporeon.

I pledge 90 eggs.
