I am about to cry. :@
Hello! I've been reading this thread for a while now and so I decide to make an account and start posting in on the thread. I don't know if it is too late to contribute, but I have started hatching shiny Pokemon in the hopes that I can. All of my Pokemon and their egg counts will be their individual count, at the end of the list I will add the total together and average them out to give my overall shiny rating. I also have the Shiny charm and I am breeding using a Japanese Ditto.
Shiny Roggenrola@ 483 eggs
Shiny Staryu@ 1099 eggs
Shiny Hawlucha@ 158 eggs
Total eggs counted for shiny hunt: 1740
Shiny rate 1740/3 or 1/580
Currently hunting for a shiny Charmander and will post again when/if I can ever get one. My hopes are still high.

On my end, just 86 eggs after the Torrent Shiny Froakie, Out Pops a Froakie with protean!
His Sp.attack isn't perfect (25) but he's Modest so that should give him a boost.
Whoa! Thankfully it didn't take you very long to get a proper Froakie. Also, I wouldn't pay too much attention to 25IV's especially since competitive battling is done at lv. 50 and your IVs will effect your stat differently. To be precise if you are missing 6 points from perfect 31 I believe that means that the greninja's sp.atk will only be effected half as much so it is only 3 stat points from max sp.atk.

Also while breeding for my Huge Power azumarill last week I hatched a shiny marill, it has thick fat and terrible IV's so it's pretty much useless but it's cute to look at. the floatzel I was breeding with was German but I wasn't keeping track of the eggs so I won't include it in my results, just thought I'd mention it.
I would just die if I hatched an egg only to find out it didn't have it's HA.
On the bright side Marill's have one of the fastest hatching times. I was originally going to try and Masuda a shiny Beldum for ORAS, but then I found out it's hatching time and it's 41 egg cycles I believe. Anyone who has enough determination to go 1000+ eggs for a pokemon with 10,000 step time gets a pat on the back from me. I once tried about 1,000 Axew eggs until I lost complete motivation and stopped... I don't even regret it one bit. Also to anyone else that reads this, by closing your 3ds and walking for 2,001 steps your O-powers can recharge twice as fast, stepping 3,001 steps recharges 3x as fast. Just a little thing I recently read about, so I don't know if anyone else knows about it. You can use Hatching Power many more times for those pokemon that take forever to hatch.
Isn't 2001 steps a bit less than 2km though? I always wondered about that, it seems a bit far to walk.
I don't think it's that much; between just going to work, coming home, and a 15-20 minute walk during lunch, I usually land between 4,000-5,000 steps.
Also, whoo! 500,000 eggs go!
