Ok I know this is a little late, but after getting Pokemon Y I decided to try geting a Shiny Scizor (for this I had a female) that is adamant nature with Tech. I had my ID and SID from back when it 1st came out. I have gotten shinies using the other method but I was never getting the nature I wanted so I hoped this would help)
Well I used the time finder for 4th gen to get me a Seed. I had the year set to 2013 (which my ds is set to), the nature, ability, gender and shiny only all set and done. I found a seed that seemed to good to be true. It said only 10 flips no extra it was 6 tails and 4 heads. After many.. many tries, I finally got all the flips to confirm I was on the right seed. I had 6 Pokemon in my party and was in front of the daycare girl (no walking needed) I gave her my scyther and ditto. After that, I got the egg and Hatched it!! just to be disappointed... No shiny... Everything else was right though.
Anyone know what I did wrong?
