shinyskarmory VS DarthVader317 in the Heart of Gold

Status
Not open for further replies.
Welcome one and all to the the Heart of Gold, of HOG, for short. On this wonderful spacecraft, we have many things to offer-a workout room, a spa, an arena where Pokemon battle it out into unconsciousness for your enjoyment-that kind of stuff. Today, shinyskarmory will be battling DarthVader317 on our intergalactic cruise. Shuffleboard will take place shortly after. Here are the rules:

Offering a challenge to anybody who wants it:

3v3 singles, 1 day DQ (ref gets 2), no recoveries or chills (except by the method the arena provides)
Tier: Acceptor can choose anything except strongmons
Arena: The Starship Heart of Gold
The Heart of Gold is the most wonderous starship ever invented. It's powered by the Infinite Improbability generator, a device which can make anything, no matter how improbable, occur.

The arena is basically the ASB arena, except with a roof. All attacks can be used because the Infinite Improbability generator can make water appear out of midair, use weather in a spaceship, etc. However, at the end of every round the Infinite Improbability Generator is activated. It causes one of 4 things to happen, each with its own improbability.

1. For both pokemon's next successful attack, all dice rolls will succeed. This carries over if a pokemon does not get to attack (due to flinching or freezing) 10%

2. Both pokemon are restored 30 HP and 50 Energy. 10%

3. Both pokemon are cleared of all status effects, stat changes, and all field effects are cleared. 40%

4. A cup of tea appears. (Nothing happens) 40%
Any takers?
I'll accept. First stage NFE's okay?

Here's how things will work:
1. Shinyskarmory posts their first Pokemon with its ability if applicable.
2. DarthVader317 sends their Pokemon with its ability and actions for the round.
3. Shinyskarmory sends their actions for the round.
8. I ref.

Good luck to both competitors!

Skye, we'll start off with you. Use Arena Trap to keep them close throughout the battle! If he leads with Nohface, I'll probably switch you out anyways.

I'll start with Mixtli the Scratchet (Prankster).

Begin with Taunt, we don't want any sand-attacks to hurt our accuracy. Then attack with Brick Break, and finish up with Yawn. If they attempt to Dig replace the current action with Harden.

If I'm ShinyStaraptor I should have Close Combat ;)

ShinySkarmory looked around the spaceship he found himself in, seeing the large red button that activated the Infinite Improbability Generator, the contraption that allowed anything to happen inside the arena. He heard that it was invented by someone who calculated exactly how improbable it was that an Infinite Improbability Generator would ever be made, fed the number into a Finite Improbability Generator, and was astonished to see it appear out of midair. Apprehensive about the effect this could have on the battle, he issued his orders to Skye:

Skye, basically anything you use will do serious damage (rank 5 attack FTW!) Start with Earthquake to dish out some damage with your Rank 5 Attack. Next, use Rock Slide to avoid the same move penalty. Finish with another Earthquake.

Earthquake->Rock Slide->Earthquake

Okay, the IIG(these things really need cooler acronyms) is all warmed up, so let's get started!

328.png

Skye (Trapinch) [F]
Nature: Brave
Health: 90

Other: None

VS

ScratchetM.png

Mixtli (Scratchet) [M]
Nature: Mild
Health: 90
Energy: 100%
Boosts:None
Other:None

Mixtli starts things off by Taunting Skye(10E) with ruthless insults... I think. All I can hear is, "Scratchet Scratchet, Scratch!" Either way, Skye seems offended and causes an enourmous Earthquake(18D/6E). Talk about a temper tantrum! Thankfully, our IIG is there so that the Earthquake won't destroy the ship. Well, hopefully. This is a prototype(you all signed the waivers right?)

Mixtli is finished yelling at Skye and Breaks a Brick that came out of nowhere(thanks to the IGG) right on Skye's head(13D/5E). Than again, Skye's head takes up half of her body, so that's not an amazing accomplishment. Skye also takes advantage of the IGG, using it to unleash a Rock Slide on Mixtli(8D/6E).

Mixtli is losing interest in the battle, and Yawns(6E). Strange, the audience is doing the exact same thing to my commentary! Skye is becoming drowsy, but that doesn't stop her from creating another Earthquake(16D/6E).

Now it's time to spin The Wheel of IGG and see what our competitors have won! * Drum roll* It is... an all expanses payed elimination of all status effects, boosts and field effects! Unfortunately, there isn't anything to clear, so you both 25% off anything in our gift shop!

328.png

Skye (Trapinch) [F]
Nature: Brave

Boosts: None

VS

ScratchetM.png

Mixtli (Scratchet) [M]
Nature: Mild
Health: 56
Energy: 80%
Boosts:None
Other:None

Mixtli has less HP and Energy, but Skye is about to fall asleep and taunted! It's to early to make predictions, so shinyskarmory, go ahead and give your orders!

Skye, start this turn off with a Sand Tomb, hopefully trapping the Scratchet away from you while you sleep. Then, use Earthquake, and then Rock Slide.

Mixtli, attack with Superpower. Then, while Trapinch is sleeping take the opportunity to restore your defenses with Harden. Then use Brick Break.

Welcome back! Both competitors are ready to battling and tired of waiting for me to start, so let's get going!

328.png

Skye (Trapinch) [F]
Nature: Brave
Health: 77

VS

ScratchetM.png

Mixtli (Scratchet) [M]
Nature: Mild
Health: 56
Energy: 80%
Boosts:None
Other:None

Mixtli begins the round by glowing white. Is he going Super Saiyan? No, he's just using Super Power, using all his strength to smack Skye around(17D/7E). That took a lot of energy, though(well, only 7, but he's still exhausted from it), and Skye takes advantage of that to create a Sand Tomb around him, hurting the weakened Scratchet with lots and lots of suddenly appearing sand(13D/3E)! However, Skye begins to doze off into an intense sleep, and as she begins to lose focus, her Sand Tomb also begins to weaken, and eventually, it disappears.

Mixtli, still tired from Super Power, restores some of his defensive capabalities by Hardening his fur, reducing damage taken and also giving him a mohawkish hairdo(4E). Skye just stays there, sleeping, along with the 5 audience members who have stayed this long.

Mixtli brings back some action to the arena, grabbing another Brick and Breaking it on the sleeping Skye(11D/5E). You'd think that that would wake her up, but she's still sleeping! For being in weight class two, she's one heavy sleeper! *ba dum tis*

It's time to turn on the IGG and see what happens! *Second drumroll* It is... another elimination of all status effects, boost and field effects! This time, it isn't entirely useless! Skye is now awake, in case she couldn't wait to wake up next action and Mixtli has no Super Power drops!

Quickly Harden again to prepare for the inevitable attacks. Then attack with Brick Break followed by Superpower. If Skye uses Dig replace that action with another Harden.

VS

ScratchetM.png

Mixtli (Scratchet) [M]
Nature: Mild
Health: 43
Energy: 64%
Boosts: None

Mixtli begins by increasing his defences once again, Hardening his fur(4E). He must have really tough fur, because that can somehow weaken the power of earthquakes and flaming fists that attack him. Logic problems aside, Skye also improves her stats by Focusing her Energy(5E), but not her attack or defence-her crit rate, the most rage quit inducing stat of all(besides evasion)

Mixtli grabs another Brick from the IGG and, you guessed it, Breaks it on top of Skye. You think that with a machine that creates anything he would have used something harder than a brick, but I guess it works(11D/5E). Skye now returns to the offensive side as well with a Rock Slide(7D/6E). That really rocks(funny material:dangerously low)!

Mixtli puts on a cape and tights and attacks Skye with another Super Power(17D/7E). When we say that anything can be created by the IGG, we mean anything, no matter how useless to the actual battle. Anyway, Skye unleashes another Earthquake-which, actually, isn't a very good term, since we're on a spacecraft, quite a distance away from earth. So, in reality, it's more of a Spacecraftquake. Whatever you want to call it, it hits Mixtli for decent damage, which is all that really matters(15D/6E).

There has been a lot of progress in the battle, with both competitors becoming greatly weakened. So what will the IGG do? Heal both of them, of course! It's a good thing I have no social life, because the might take awhile.

More damage was healed than was dealt this round, but Skye has a higher crit rate and an opponent with -1 attack. Who know what will happen(okay, fortune tellers and psychics do, but they don't count)?

Your move, shinyskarmory!

Both trainers have given up on strategy and are going full-out, starting with Mixtli, who Breaks yet another Brick-it's a good thing this battle wasn't in a brick house, or there'd be nothing left after the battle(12D/5E). Skye retaliates with another Earthquake, and while not that original, it does deal a ton of damage(18D/11E).

Mixtli has fury!... swipes, that is(7D/4E). Skye now... oh, it looks like Awful is suing me for using his catchphrase. Oh well, as I was saying, Skye goes for yet another Earthquake(18D/15E)! Well, it isn't really an earthquake, it's a spacecraft quake...(if you can reuse a move this many times, I can reuse jokes!)

Mixtli isn't helping me either with another Breaking of the Bricks(12D/5E). Skye is now grabbing one of the broken bricks and using as a weapon to-no wait, she's using Earthquake again(18D/19E). Who would've guessed it. This earthquake, however, is too much for Mixtil to handle, and he faints. That means that a new Pokemon will have to be sent out, with hopefully a more diverse movepool to give me some decent material!

Field effects: There is a cup of tea on the battlefield(yes, this counts as a field effect!)

Oberoth begins by hitting Skye with a Flame Charge(10D/3E), just barely KOing her, and getting Oberoth a speed boost in the process. Wait, is that it? That's all I have to ref for the round? Yay, no work for me!

Actually, I still have to tell you what the IGG is doing for the round. It is... getting rid of all stat changes and field effects! There goes Oberoth's speed boost, along with cup of tea.

Well, it's neck and neck now, with Oberoth only using up a smidgen of energy. This battle is going faster than I originally thought, and let's hope it stays that way!

Shinyskarmory, your Pokemon, ability and actions please!

Go, Blackbeard! Remain tastefully Unaware of stat boosts!

Start with a super effective Waterfall. Then, create a 20 HP Substitute to take attacks. Finish with a Focus Punch.

If he breaks your substitute the action you make it, replace fFocus Punch with Drain Punch.

This is going to hurt. Okay Torchic, start with Fire Spin. Then use Flamethrower, followed by Low Kick. Unfortunately we won't be able to break the sub, but hopefully Flamethrower can get a burn.

We're back, and we now have 50% more piratey goodness than your average ASB battle!

Oberoth is in a bad position, but he doesn't give up, and he Spins Fire around Blackbeard, although it doesn't really hurt that much(6D/3E). Blackbeard tries out the IGG for himself, summoning some water for a dangerously powerful Waterfall(23D/5E). Fortunately for Oberoth, the spinning fire does hurt Blackbeard, and for an entire two damage as well!

Oberoth is finished with his fire spin and instead goes for straight out power by breathing out a Flamethrower(10D/6E). Blackbeard decides that he's to good for this and sends out a green doll as a Substitute(18E).

Blackbeard us now safe from attacks, and his hands appear to be glowing white. Either he fell into a pit of nuclear waste or he's concentrating his energy! Oberoth is not liking this situation at all, but low kicks the sub(13D/4E). The sub is not broken, and it looks like Blackbeard is about to unleash all that focusing into a punch!(23D/8E) Wammo! Right in the beak!

The IGG is now ready to influence the battle by... removing all stat changes, field effects, etc. etc. Unfortunately, there`s none of that, making it about as useful as a cup of tea.

Darthvader317, your actions please! And remember this crucial piece of information: aim for the horn!(I don`t care if Privitykes don`t have horns, just do it!)

Shinyskarmory, since, Darthvader317 is switching his pokemon, you can switch yours, as well. Would you like to switch? If you would, please give out your orders for that new Pokemon. If not, just let me know and wait for DarthVader317's actions.

I'd like to switch to Goku the Riolu.

Goku, start with Foresight, to neutralize his ghost type. Then, go wild with Focus Blast and Force Palm.
