So I downloaded shoddy and my computer crashed and wouldn't start up ever again. Is this a virus in shoddy or is there a hidden virus activated by shoddy?

I have never ever seen a virus problem with Shoddy in nearly two years of using it whereas weird shit happens with computers all the time. Your best bet is to find out what problem your computer had and try to fix it from there.
There obviously isn't any virus distributed with Shoddy Battle. The whole program is free software, i.e., the source code is available for you to review. Feel free to review it and you will discover that there is no malware.
As for your actual problem, I don't think we can help you, especially with such a vague question. Another web site (e.g. for tech support) might be more helpful to you.
