Long time no see, everybody. First off I'd like to say this team was inspired by my favorite song, Showroom by Curren$y.You got ya boi Slickback BACK IN THIS BITCH. But swag aside, A lot of people have asked me to RMT this sand team that I made when Keldeo was first released. You guys also banned Genesect, giving me another reason to retire this team. Basically it's sand "direct" offense, and it's a straightforward and fun team to use. I myself peaked 1550+ with this team, but my boys Moet and many others have gotten even higher. PLEASE LISTEN TO THE SONG WHILE READING THIS RMT. But bullshittin' aside, let's get straight into this RMT.

Genesect ---- The Lead
252 SpA | 252 Spe | 4 HP
Timid |
focussash.png
| Download
U-turn | Flamethrower | Ice Beam | Giga Drain

Genesect was one of the best leads in the Meta. This is a custom set that I made that I felt like trying out, and it seemed to work wonders. I use Focus Sash because I noticed that more than half the time in Genesect vs Genesect situations, the others will Flamethrower, only to be taken by surprise by the Focus Sash. It also helps me stop set up sweepers if I choose to preserve it (rarely). It also bluffs the Expert Belt quite well. I used to run Thunderbolt over Giga Drain for Tentacruel and Gyarados, but Giga Drain seems to work fine either way, and can get you back to your sash occasionally. This man Genesect, I mean what else can I say, it's such a useful 'mon.

647.png

Keldeo ---- The Best Scarfer/Revenger
252 SpA | 252 Spe | 4 SpDef
Timid |
choicescarf.png
| Justified
Secret Sword | Hydro Pump | Icy Wind | HP Electric

My nigga Keldeo ~. I chose to use Keldeo on this team because it is one of the two water resists and is definitely the best scarfer in the meta. It can basically revenge kill anything. I chose to use Icy Wind over HP Ice because lowering the speed on the Scarf Latios switch is really useful. The other reason I'm using it is because I want room for HP Electric which is vital to help against my Gyarados weakness. I also wanted to use Keldeo because the Tyranitar + Keldeo core is very strong... Very strong indeed. The main reason I use so many offensive pokemon on this team is because it becomes hard for the opponent to decide which pokemon has which item. Is Genesect scarfed or is Keldeo scarfed? Maybe Terrakion is Scarfed and Keldeo is Specs?!kalsjdnflaksjdfnalsdjkf.

286-frame1.png

Breloom ---- WOOP SWAG
252 Atk | 252 Spe | 4 Def
Adamant |
fightinggem.png
| Technican
Bullet Seed | Spore | Mach Punch | Swords Dance

Shouts' to Bri for this set. Breloom is such a damn powerhouse man. I chose Breloom for this team because this team is good at getting rid of counters to the Fighting type and then just spamming Fighting moves to win. I also needed some priority on my team, and I chose this guy over Lucario because of how it can counter some Gliscors etc. This is basically the standard Techniloom set with a Fight Gem over a Life Orb for the extra oomph. Life orb and Sand wears it down too fast, but you can't notice too much of a difference in the power.

248-frame1.png

Tyranitar ---- Needs Glue imo
236 HP | 216 SpDef | 52 Spe | 4 Atk
Careful |
41.png
| Sand Stream
Stealth Rock | Pursuit | Superpower | Crunch

So yeah. It's a sand team. So... TTar. I chose Tyranitar over Hippowdon for two reasons: Special wall, and Latios Counter. As you can probably tell from the team preview, Latios shits on this team if Tyranitar and Genesect are gone. Stealth Rocks is the best move in the game. Yeah. I chose Crunch and Pursuit because of setup sweepers like Jirachi, Landorus, etc. and Pursuit is to trap the Lati twins and some choice Politoeds. I run that many speed ev's so I can KO other TTar's with Superpower (unless they have Chople Berry. Then fuck you.)

639-frame1.png

Terrakion ---- Did I say Breloom was a powerhouse?
252 Atk | 252 Spe | 4 Def
Jolly |
choiceband.png
| Justified
Close Combat | Stone Edge | Earthquake | X-Scissor

Close Combat = gg imo. Again, the purpose of this team is basically to spam fighting moves and win. No better pokemon to do that than Terrakion. I use X Scissor and Earthquake for Toxicroak and Celebi's respectively. Close Combat and Stone Edge are the two baller stabs. If Tyranitar can get rid of Ghosts and Latios, and Genesect can get rid of Scizor, all you basically do is press CC and win. Keldeo + Terrakion + Breloom is also a really strong wallbreaking combo. So yeah.

472_gliscor_front_norm.png

Gliscor ---- SAND VEIL ACTIVATE
248 HP | 84 Atk | 96 Def | 80 Spe
Impish |
leftovers.png
| Sand Veil
Substitute | Swords Dance | Earthquake | Ice Fang

Olawdie. You guys banned this guy too, didn't you. I don't blame you. This set is one given to me by my nigga zzazzdsa, so shouts. It's basically a spin off Sub SD Acro Gliscor, but it's a bulkier set to more effectively implement the use of hax. :]. I use Ice Fang over Acro because it's surprising how much of the time you'll get flinch hax and freeze hax. Gliscor is just a monster man. Another reason I use bulky is because I have a special wall (Tyranitar), and I wanted a physical wall, and this does it just perfectly. Just be careful about switching into CB Stone Edges. The EV's I run are basically a lot of defense, enough to outrun Rotom-W and Breloom, and the rest in attack. This set also shits on Landorus-T's that don't run HP Ice.

So there you have it guys, one of the best sand teams I ever built. Feel free to suggest any changes and drop a Luvdisc if ya liked it. Here's an importable for all you stealin ass mofuckas'. Slickback outro. ~

First off thanks for naming the team after me, I ball hard

Yeah i've played this team a lot and its really solid. The only real problem os SD croak as it pretty much takes out at least 3 guys and gets set up opportunities pretty easily. Rain in general hits you hard as you have nothing to take a Hydro Pumo barring Keldeo which is 2hkod by most. So because of this I would recomend SpD Celebi over Breloom with the moves Giga Drain / U-turn / Perish Sr to take on Keldeo which stomps on you. Other than that you can try HP Ice over icy wind on keldeo so you can actually 2HKO and OHKO Latios and Dragonite respectively and change HP electric to surf for late game cleaning.

All in all good team mah nigga, u've done well

Btw possibly try Def Starmie over keld since ur weak to hazards and to keep Gene's sash active

Thanks Thundercunt ~
SD Croak and Latios are definitely the two biggest threats to this team. Celebi over Breloom seems reasonable, but changing Keldeo would be a little too drastic.. But then again I'll test anyway. Thanks

Hey!

Despite the fact that two of the Pokemon on this team are banned, I'll just rate it assuming its the Sand Veil / Genesect metagame. There are a few threats I'm worried about. Opposing Keldeo's are very threatening since your team doesn't have a Pokemon that can resist either of its STAB's and Breloom is too frail to live multiple Surf's and Secret Swords retaliated with a Technician boosted Bullet Seed. Special Landorus can just switch in, click Earth Power, and something is going to die. Hidden Power Ice nails Gliscor as well. Opposing Breloom are really threatening since Gliscor cannot OHKO plus you can't OHKO back, and you only have one check. I really like having two Breloom checks since it can neuder one of them with a well-timed Spore. Sun, specifically Venusaur, is very threatening since it can OHKO basically your whole team. Conkeldurr is another threat to your team because after a Bulk Up it beats Gliscor 1v1 and you have to sleep it with Breloom which is not the most reliable strategy. Most of these probems stem from the fact that you only have one Fighting-resist. Because of these problems, I recommend a Latios instead of Terrakion. Choice Specs Latios's Draco Meteor's are much strong than Terrakion's Band'd Close Combats making it a strong wallbreaker still. Additionally, you can check Special Landorus, Keldeo, Breloom, Conkeldurr, etc. and it is a great Fighting-resist. A simple set of Draco Meteor / Psyshock / Surf / Trick @ Choice Specs with EV's of 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe and a Timid nature should fit perfectly on your team. This change covers most of your threats, but one threat remains in Gyarados. Despite Hidden Power Electric Keldeo, Gyarados can Substitute and still do major damage. Giga Drain on Genesect seems unneeded due to your Breloom having a Grass-type to destroy things like Gastrodon, so try out Thunderbolt instead of Giga Drain to effectively OHKO Gyarados. It gets arguably better coverage and 20 more BP, so it's the best for this team.

Good luck.

hey pimp!
i think this was one of the best team in the past metagame...
changes:
terrakion leader>cb terrakion--> stealth rock/stone edge/close combat/taunt
i think this is the best set for your offense team.
Important reason is the outspeed on deoxis-d-->good match up against HO
tyranitar sdef<choice band tyranitar--> crunch/stone edge/pursuit/superpower
Why? because you must trap celebi,latios,jellycent for keldeo sweep
sword dance breloom<focuspunch breloom--> focus punch/bullet seed/mach punch/spore
This is a beast infact hit hard latios,latias,dragonite,salamence,jellycent,toxicroak,in general lure a lot of keldeo ''counter''
genesect leader<expert belt genesect--> ice beam/flamethrower/u-turn/giga drain
this because terrakion is your leader

good luck!
