Alakazam is fragile, so why recommend a move that misses 30% of the time and leaves it wide open for a KO? Signal Beam is a superior option on 'Zam.

imo since your running signal beam for darks you don't need focus blast, so many steels are steel+psychic (jirachi, metagross, bronzong) and skarmory all take neutral damage from fighting so hp fire is better

I'm sure he was referring to Focus Blast Alakapimp, anyway I'd opt for whichever move that fits well with the teams' weakness/things it needs to cover for each other.

I'd have to say Signal beam actually. It hits most darks for super effective, and helps with things like celebi.

Has to be Shadow Ball as the others have stated above it gives you much needed coverage.

Who has stated that above? There were only three posts since page 2 that even supported Shadow Ball, and they didn't provide any compelling arguments.
