What's up fellow ADV and VGC enjoyers!
The Orre Colosseum community is hosting its 10th one day tournament on Saturday 30th of September at 8:00PM GMT. (Expected duration: 3 to 4 hours)
It will consist of 2 parts:
1. 5 or 6 Swiss Rounds (depending on the number of players); Matches played in Best of 3s (Win 2/3 games to win the match)
2. Top Cut (Probably Top 8); Matches played in Best of 5s (Win 3/5 games to win the match)
You have to use one team for the whole tournament. You'll be submitting your teamsheet before the tournament during signup.
Since this will be the 10th time we're hosting Orre Cup, it will be a special one and include prize money (at least 100€ total for the top 4 finishes) for the very first time. So prepare for some of the finest Gen 3 VGC action, whether you join us as a player or spectator!
If there are at least 40 players in Round 1, the winner will get an Emerald cartridge (with free shipping) in addition to 50€.

Also if you're not familiar with the mechanics of Gen 3 double battles, you should definitely give it a read!
Here's a summary of the RULES for OCX:
- Open Teamsheets (a.k.a. OTS: You know your opponent's movesets (incl. Hidden Power types), abilities and items. Only the EVs, IVs and natures stay hidden.)
For game 1 of every match, you have to post the link to the pokepaste of your OTS in the battle chat before starting the battle.
- Bring 6, Pick 4 Double battles with Team Preview
- Item Clause (no duplicate items)
- Level 100 (or lower)
- Sleep Clause (Includes self-inflicted sleep from Rest)
- Freeze Clause
- Exact HP mod (Every mon's exact HP value is visible i.e. you can know your opponent's HP EVs. This is how XD PvP battles work.)
- Self-Destruct Clause (If a battle ends with no pokemon left on either side because of the effect of Self-Destruct, Explosion, Perish Song or Destiny Bond, the user of that move loses. This does NOT apply to Recoil Moves (Double-Edge), the user of that move would win.)
- Genders have to be locked in (Cute Charm Clefable is a thing; in Gen 3 Fake Out doesn't make contact, but Overheat does)
- Battle Timer (mandatory to ensure that the tournament doesn't take too long, turn on after the OTS have been posted in the chat):
Team Preview: 90 seconds
Move time: 60 seconds
Player time (Your Time): 7 minutes
Game time: 15 minutes
- After each match, the winner has to send the replays to Lemonici on Discord.
The tournament will be played in our Standard Format.
