When people on smogon enter "United States" as their location so it said "From United States". Sorry but that's not how English works. It has to be "I'm from the USA.", because "USA" is an abbreviation for United States of America, so it is imperative that one must use the definite article "the" with the noun "states."

Something I have to get off my chest at one point or another…

If someone wants to make a great first impression, just mentioning data sciences, storytelling, or chemistry makes me happy. Doesn’t matter if the person knows nothing or is an expert, I just like it when I’m not the one to have to bring that up in a conversation. Because I enjoy all manner of dork stuff, just find it hard to bring such up in a convo.
 
Positive :
- likes animals / has some
- held no grudge upon small mistakes (this one is a massive greenflag)
- likes Pokemon (most obvious one but eh it's worth mentioning)
- isn't afraid of nerding out
Negative :
- constantly complaining. It triggers me.
- extravert people. If I don't know the person, I don't like them acting as if they do know me.
- people with absolute 0 general knowledge. I'm not the most knowledgeable person around, but basics are just what I expect from everyone.
- "Maths are useless".

- likes fun/quirky food such as bacon, cupcakes, etc. (only if loud about it)
- European with strong views on American politics (only if loud about it)
- types "could of/should of" (some1 else said this 1 already but I have to signal boost)

oh shit i meet every negative and positive criteria on there except the math one
 
i’m cursed with being a grammar snob specifically about certain punctuation. i get intensely annoyed by random periods dividing 2 sentence fragments or incorrect semicolon usage but almost anything else doesn’t irk me as you can probably tell by this messy-ass post

as for positives, i fall in love with people that can ramble for hours about some absurdly niche topic that i’ve never even heard of in my life, i just love learning about people’s hyperspecific interests and rambling about mine in return

edit: oh also i fucking hate pop psych so if someone starts spouting off MBTI personalities or “haha freud everyone wants to bang their mom” or evopsych i will immediately not wanna talk to them

I live in Austria and there are certain ways of speaking that I just dislike. It's not even dialects but rather verbal tendencies. Such as heavy inflictions on certain sounds or certain ways to pronounce syllables. Very hard to describe in English tbh

I totally understand where you are coming from. This is very similar to a quirk of mine that causes me irrational levels of anger when people do not use proper capitalization. My ADHD often causes me to ramble on about niche subjects that others do not find interesting, specifically different types of anti-depressants and their side effects. I am also very interested in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya; specifically the various methods in which it serves as a deconstruction to the slice of life anime genre, and to a lesser extent, school genre.
