Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

A bit of 'silly things you've used in other metagames'. Last month I found the counter to -ate E-Speed spam in Mix and Mega (obviously I had to wait for a new OMotM or everyone would be using it):

Praise Verlis (Wailord) @ Aggronite
Ability: Oblivious
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Curse
- Heavy Slam
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Taking my inspiration from the Pokemon community's greatest innovator (lel), this magnificent beast actually did work now and then:

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-448179575
(notable cameo from Petal Blizzard Outrage non-mega Venusaur)

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-449285629
(plenty of nonsense from my opponent on this one - Brick Break Mewtwo Y and Flash Cannon Mega Metagross to name a couple)

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-451979732
Yes, that's a Cherubi.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-451977034
Considering that this is (presumably) a mirror match, you'd think left would have less trouble than this. The team itself is also quite odd.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-451975667
Ice mono starring Stallrein on right, Eject Buttons everywhere and some really random move choices on left.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-451978878
Team consisting only of Life Orb Deoxys-A and two Deoxys-S.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-451976142
Offensive Smeargle might actually be viable in GotG.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-451976388
Leavanny and Torrent Greninja highlight this one.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-451976942
The first three turns lead to this conversation at the end.
★420Obama: Uh...
★davidlewis11: uh
★420Obama: I don't wanna tell you this, but Steel is Immune to toxic :v
★davidlewis11: ik
davidlewis11 forfeited.
420Obama won the battle!
davidlewis11 left.
★420Obama: ...Oh.

I would like to know how a Mega Heracross managed to outspeed a Noivern and a Thundurus. EDIT: I'm an idiot.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-451984072
Clefable Metronome team induces forfeit against an opponent who is having issues with multiple game mechanics.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-451983869
Some interesting sets in this one, including my favorite: Life Orb Speed Boost Mega Banette.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-451983286
A team of Level 100 (mostly) LC mons. And it wins. Featuring Murkrow vs. that Sigilyph set, a zero turn freeze, and more.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-451980616
Trapper team working. And unfortunately for left, this meta is not called Gifts of the RNG Gods.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-451986368
Assist Spinda gimmick team gets destroyed by Cobalion.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-451980517
Arceus everywhere, and a really salty righty.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-451983913
I really don't understand this one.

Welcome to Dexoys-A teams, where they can make anything fast. and where Noivern has non-STAB Boomburst

Tropius... sweeps a team. A pretty competent one, at that.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/randombattle-451041549
Zoroark manages to nearly take down a team while having its Illusion intact.

On the other side of the coin, everything goes wrong for me. Someone count how many ways I've lost this one.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-452230673
A match featuring such wonders as Assault Vest Hyper Beam Bisharp and Physical Gengar.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-452231927
This one's a doozy. The Ducklett and its dumb set is just the beginning of the utter stupidity that boils down to Hyper Beam/Giga Impact spam.

Someone please cover this one. I lost it at Tri Attack Togekiss.

I can do this for you.

[R] Sunflora. With Politoed.
[R] Said Sunflora is a Sunny Day Clorophyll set. How's that base 30 speed treating you?
[L] Having Diancie Calm Mind in front of this Sunflora. What were you thinking?
[R] Sunflora does pretty much zero damage to (actually) Multiscale Lugia.
[R] Sudowoodo...
[R] ....MIMICS THE CALM MIND AND USES IT. MY GOD.
[L] Lugia is revealed to have dual STAB, which isn't terrible, all things considered.
[R] Ambipom actually defeats the Lugia.
[L] Bulldoze/Dizzy Punch Mega-Kangaskan. That's one way to abuse secondary effects...
[R] Foul Play Ambipom.
[R] Togekiss tries to Tri Attack. With predictable results.
[L] Retaliate Regigigas is apparently a thing.

Oh, also? Right's entire team is itemless.

This Person made two mistakes
1) Letting my Primal Groudon get to +6 Attack and +6 Speed
2) Running an Eviolite Klefki
If this is the amount of bad sets we are getting now, it's going to be even worse once it becomes a semi permanent ladder in Sun and Moon.
Actually, I feel the opposite might be true. Since it's not permanent, I bet a lot of people were cramming to play it instead of actually making good teams. Don't get me wrong, bad sets will still be there, and we'll get more TOTAL bad sets simply by having it playable more, but I do believe we'll have a lesser ratio of bad sets to good sets.

You know that replay of me winning against AB with Red Orb Malamar, and only Red Orb Malamar? I got another one here: Charizardite X Hawlucha.

Me just before the last Pokemon faints: "Wait, am I actually gonna be able to do this?"
My brother: "Find out next time on Pokemon Ball Z."
Me: "Pokemon Ball Z? Oh, god."

PS: Is Charizardite X Hawlucha even good in M&M lol

Why didnt the entei espeed you lmao

Here's a time where I tried an Epic Mienfoo sweep, but to save you time from opening a new tab to watch it, I uploaded it to my channel 5 months ago, so here you go:

Somebody take this if you're man enough

Dragon/Fighting, 78/138/110/95/63/118 with Tough Claws HJK and Dual Chop, while also having Iron Head or Poison Jab for Fairies. That doesn't sound too bad.
To be honest, I prefer Drain Punch over HJK, mostly to help with longevity, and because it still hits quite hard enough if I've gotten a Swords Dance boost. I guess I also like Poison Jab, since Steel covers almost nothing Fighting doesn't, and PJab hits Grass-types (what few there are, anyway).

I just can't leave it at that. Left was spamming Dragon moves on Mega Audino, tried to stack Stealth Rock, and did not know how to switch. And he won.
I mean, I wanted to leave all that as a surprise.
Have some more bad battlers, in the meanwhile. I got these from the copper mine.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-453437367
Some pretty strange choices from Right for teambuilding... is that Choice Scarf Giga Drain Gengar?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-453441124
Mono-Arceus with really strange sets. Prankster Tail Glow + Nature Power... with Odor Sleuth. And that's just the tip of this one.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-453441940
Mono-Vivillon versus Ash's team.... including the unevolved forms. The chat is active, too.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-453445755
Three-mon Baton Pass team gets way too zealous against a Flinchrachi. ...Why did you not have Leftovers on the horse..?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-453448389
Hooo boy. A mono-flying team with a dubious understanding about how to use U-turn at best, and terrible at worst. Right also has an abundance of Ice Beams and Flame Body Talonflame. Guess who wins.

We have returned to the regularly scheduled broadcast of "Silly Matches, and the Silly People That Cause Them."
This time, the coverage has shifted over to Gifts of the Gods, where some people (like me) struggle to pick a good legendary. Without further ado, let's see the matches.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-454093613
Here, we can see a person not fully understanding how Aegislash works as a god, including putting a Florges in the Special Attack slot. And then a non-STAB U-Turn nearly takes down Hydregion...

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-454095309
While both people have a better understanding of the meta than that poor sap above, there are still numerous mistakes in playing. Kyruem White will likely punish all attempts that a dragon may take to appease it with a simple dance, as it has refined tastes...

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-454099562
With this match, we can see a bit of wonder on both sides. From a Deoxys-N god to a Psychic Klefki, this battle has it all.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-454098093
A good bit of science done, at the (possible) pain of the opposing side. Also, Kyogre proves its RestTalk set is quite potent.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-454106745
Here we deviate towards the norm of Anything Goes, in which we see a team of 4 Munchlaxes, and one Legend a piece for each side.
