Silvally-Fairy's access to a powerful STAB move in Multi-Attack, a boosting move in Swords Dance, and solid coverage moves makes it a decent wallbreaker, taking advantage of common Pokemon like Noivern and Umbreon for setup opportunities. However, its defensive utility is generally lacking, and it faces a lot of competition as a Fairy-type wallbreaker from Pokemon like Gardevoir, Sylveon, and Galarian Rapidash. Nevertheless, it sets itself apart from the former two thanks to its ability to outspeed common checks to Fairy-types like Roserade; while it struggles to find a niche over Galarian Rapidash due to the latter's greater power, better Speed tier and coverage, and ability to hold different items, its typing allows it to switch into and take advantage of Dark-types like Umbreon and Pangoro. It also has access to U-turn to gain momentum on some of its checks, like Copperajah, Doublade, and Galarian Weezing. Alternatively, Crunch targets Pokemon like Bronzong, Doublade, and Chandelure, all of which resist Multi-Attack; Doublade needs to be weakened a lot, though. Flame Charge gives Silvally-Fairy coverage for Pokemon like Escavalier that would otherwise be problematic for it and allows it to outspeed potential revenge killers like Cobalion and Choice Scarf Gardevoir. Frailer Poison-types like Toxtricity and Roserade are vulnerable to a boosted Multi-Attack after some minor chip damage; using Flame Charge leaves Silvally-Fairy walled by Galarian Weezing, though, so Psychic Fangs can be used instead to enable Silvally-Fairy to hit Poison-types like Galarian Weezing very hard KO Roserade after Stealth Rock damage.

Silvally-Fairy needs a lot of support if it wants a shot at sweeping. Common Pokemon like Rhyperior, Gigalith, and Cobalion all give it problems, and despite its impressive coverage, it's easily handled by healthy Pokemon like Doublade and Galarian Weezing. Wallbreakers like Pangoro, Machamp, and Necrozma all pair well with Silvally-Fairy because they can weaken or remove all of these Pokemon. They also appreciate Silvally-Fairy's ability to bring them in on these Pokemon via U-turn. Necrozma can also provide Stealth Rock support, which is necessary for Silvally-Fairy to achieve certain KOs, such as on Roserade with +2 Multi Attack or Flame Charge. Roserade can also supply entry hazard support for Silvally-Fairy in the form of Spikes while wearing down shared checks like Doublade and Cobalion with its strong Leaf Storm. It can create setup opportunities for Silvally-Fairy with Sleep Powder, too. Toxtricity is an effective partner that can weaken Pokemon like Rhyperior, Gigalith, and Escavalier for Silvally-Fairy, as well as acting as a decent check to Cobalion. It can also bring in Umbreon and pivot out of it with Volt Switch, giving Silvally-Fairy opportunities to set up. Partners that bait in Noivern, like Tsareena and Cobalion, are good pairings for Silvally-Fairy, because Noivern is one of Silvally-Fairy's most common setup opportunities. Incineroar is a good partner that can create setup opportunities for Silvally-Fairy with Parting Shot, and its typing and bulk also allows it to check Pokemon that would otherwise annoy Silvally-Fairy like Chandelure, Doublade, and Escavalier.

just some comments from someone who's used this mon a bit. (only the sd variant though, defensive is dogshit) consider this an AM QC check if you want I suppose.

However, its defensive utility is generally lacking, and it faces a lot of competition as a Fairy-type wallbreaker from Pokemon like Gardevoir, Sylveon, and Galarian Rapidash. However, it sets itself apart from the former two thanks to its ability to outspeed common checks to Fairy-types like Roserade, though it struggles to find a niche over Galarian Rapidash due to the latter's greater power, better Speed tier and coverage, and ability to hold different items.

i mean, not really? gardevoir isn't easy to fit on teams compared to sylveon and neither is galarian rapidash. in general this section is way too negative on fairyvally and the comparisons to rapidash. i've never once had a time where i wish my fairyvally was a rapidash and it has plenty of uses over the pride pony. sd + flame charge can actually be threatening to escavalier / raj builds when paired with smth like rose bc they get into flame charge range easier and it can also act as a pivot with u-turn. why u-turn isn't on the set is beyond me but i'll get to that later.

Crunch targets Pokemon like Bronzong, Doublade, and Chandelure, all of which resist Multi-Attack. Psychic Fangs allows Silvally-Fairy to hit Poison-types like Galarian Weezing very hard, and can KO Roserade after Stealth Rock damage. Flame Charge can be used instead, giving Silvally-Fairy coverage for Pokemon like Escavalier that would otherwise be problematic for it. Additionally, frailer Poison-types like Toxtricity and Roserade are vulnerable to a boosted Multi-Attack after some minor chip damage; using Flame Charge leaves Silvally-Fairy walled by Galarian Weezing, though.

as I said earlier I feel like no mention of u-turn is missing the point of fairyvally's main niche. there are three things that fairyvally has over sylveon:
1. not being a momentum suck
2. having actual offensive presence in the late game (don't talk to me about cm)
3. not giving mons like jah / rose free switch ins (if you run flame charge that is)

crunch seems pretty suboptimal if i'm honest, like i'd much rather pivot out on those mons and then break through them with multi-attack / flame charge later on. psychic fangs also essentially only hits galarian weezing, and while it has seen an uprising, its basically galarian weezing vs. jah / escav / other steel types / useful speed boosts to take advantage of teams that rely on vern as the speed control. i feel like flame charge should be mentioned way before psychic fangs and maybe crunch and u-turn should be slashed or mentioned too.

Silvally-Fairy needs a lot of support if it wants a shot at sweeping. Common Pokemon like Rhyperior, Gigalith and Cobalion all give it lots of problems, and even despite its impressive coverage, it's easily handled by healthy Pokemon like Doublade and Galarian Weezing.

i know you mention doublade in the sentence after the first but it should be swapped with cobalion. you do this to cobalion with multi-attack: +2 252 Atk Silvally-Fairy Multi-Attack vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Cobalion: 253-298 (78.3 - 92.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO, and it isn't killing you back unless you've taken chip. doublade is a much bigger issue than cobalion and it should be highlighted more here.

Toxtricity is an effective partner that can weaken Pokemon like Rhyperior, Gigalith, and Escavalier for Silvally-Fairy, as well as acting as a decent check to Cobalion.

dunno how i feel about the escav part, its not taking boomburst / overdrive / volt switch well at all and it shouldn't be a situation you find yourself in unless necessary.

anyway rant over, this analysis was fine for the most part, just a few things that i felt should be changed from my experience using this mon. implement what you want if you consider this an am qc check.

Worth mentioning however how its better typing lets it switch into and set up on Umbreon unlike Rapidash, and mentioning its solid all round bulk unlike rapidash. (FWIW I agree with Juuno here, fairyvallies ability to u-turn on switches into checks like Doublade, and ability to get through Escavalier unlike Rapidash is definitely a worthy niche) U-turn is used to gain momentum on some of Silvally-Fairy's checks, like Copperajah, Doublade, and Galarian Weezing. Try and work this in with the previous points as something it actually has over the other alternative fairy wallbreakers if you can. Alternatively, Crunch targets Pokemon like Bronzong, Doublade, and Chandelure, all of which resist Multi-Attack. I'd either remove Doublade from this list or preferably specifically comment on how +2 Crunch still doesn't do very much damage to Doublade (not even a guaranteed 2HKO), since Doublade still checks you very well when running Crunch. Flame Charge gives Silvally-Fairy coverage for Pokemon like Escavalier that would otherwise be problematic for it. I'd also comment on how the speed boost can help you vs some revenge killers like Hurricane Noivern, Darm, sufficiently weakened Cobalion etc, letting you punish sacks against it. Frailer Poison-types like Toxtricity and Roserade are vulnerable to a boosted Multi-Attack after some minor chip damage; using Flame Charge leaves Silvally-Fairy walled by Galarian Weezing, though, so Psychic Fangs can be used instead to enable Silvally-Fairy to hit Poison-types like Galarian Weezing very hard, and can KO Roserade after Stealth Rock damage.

Silvally-Fairy needs a lot of support if it wants a shot at sweeping. Common Pokemon like Rhyperior, Gigalith tbh I wouldn't talk so negatively on these two, especially Gigalith, as they are 2HKOd at +2 and fairyvally's good all round bulk means they can only really soften it up for revenge killers in return. and Cobalion all give it lots of problems, and even despite its impressive coverage, it's easily handled by healthy Pokemon like Doublade and Galarian Weezing. Wallbreakers like Pangoro, Machamp, and Necrozma all pair well with Silvally-Fairy because they can weaken or remove all of these Pokemon. tie in about them all appreciating the u-turn support into mons like Doub/Weezy. Necrozma can also provide Stealth Rock support, which is necessary for Silvally-Fairy to achieve certain KOs, such as an unboosted KO on Roserade with Psychic Fangs. replace this with like guaranteed OHKO from +2 flame charge/multi attack instead since Psychic Fangs is just a mention Toxtricity is an effective partner that can weaken Pokemon like Rhyperior, Gigalith, and Escavalier for Silvally-Fairy, as Juuno said, not huge on this Escav mention, seeing as it shouldn't normally be trying to take on Toxtricity unless backed into a corner. You could also comment on its ability to bring in Umbreon for set up opportunities. as well as acting as a decent check to Cobalion. Partners that bait in Noivern, like Tsareena and Cobalion, are good pairings for Silvally-Fairy, because Noivern is one of Silvally-Fairy's most common setup opportunities. Incineroar is a good partner that can create setup opportunities for Silvally-Fairy with Parting Shot, and its typing and bulk also allows it to check Pokemon that would otherwise annoy Silvally-Fairy like Doublade and Escavalier.

Mention Incineroar dealing with Chandelure when you bring it up as a partner.

I'd mention Roserade as a partner when you start talking about entry hazard support. Roserade does a good job of wearing their shared checks in Doublade and Cobalion, pressures Giga, Rhyp, Galarian Weezing etc. Obviously has Spikes support, which can help bring Escav into range of a boosted Flame Charge and potential Sleep Powder support for setting up opportunities.
