how do you farm lefties in this game?
Pickup Ability (Outside of battle). Look under XY section. If you have a pokemon with that ability at level 81+, you have a 1% chance of getting leftovers outside of battle. I suggest you get a team of 6 with that ability and level 81+ to increase your chances more.

I have an team of 6 pickup ambipom at level 100. I just battle with them in the wild, until I get leftover.
You also only have 10% chance of getting anything at all
It is, but worth it in the end. I've got 10+ right now myself. :)
How? Each Pokemon has a .1% chance of getting a leftovers per battle
Doing more than once per battle?
Edit: @Couple below: Yes, I did tons of battles. Oh well, worth it for me in the end.
Still, it would probably take you over 100 battles to even get one
