Does anyone know what moves increase more than 2 stats at a time, that is also legal?
I'm looking at the current bans, and R.I.P Woobat (not a typo, Woobat was actually legit last time)

There's coil, though the accuracy boost is mostly useless, unless you put it on a pokemon that can get stored power or power trip boosts, like corviknight, clef, or reuniclus. Although I think cotton guard would be better on all of those mons.

That’s pretty unfortunate since neither helps Woobat much against Surging Strikes, but it will have to do.

These 2 Pokemon are nearly identical Rimbombee is faster and is able to still use Memento against Dark types, while Whimsicott has priority so it can use its moves before the likes of Tapu Koko. Memento+Screens is effectively a x4 increase of your bulk (so long as they don’t have Surging Strikes or RNGus on their side).

Woobat @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Simple
EVs: 184 HP / 252 SpA / 72 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Cotton Guard
- Calm Mind/Amnesia
- Stored Power
- Giga Drain
This is the main attraction here. Woobat, after many of its tools being banned, isn’t as glorious as it once was. Before getting instant 260 BP Stored Powers in a single turn, Woobat now has to settle for just instant +6 Defense with an instant 140 Stored Power instead.
While Clang and Retreat are obviously better, Cotton Guard still has its merits. First is that Woobat becomes pretty bulky at +6
With Meme Screens:
-2 252 Atk Weavile Triple Axel (40 BP) (3 hits) vs. +6 184 HP / 0 Def Woobat through Reflect: 48-57 (15.1 - 17.9%) -- approx. possible 6HKO
Without Meme Screens:
252 Atk Weavile Triple Axel (40 BP) (3 hits) vs. +6 184 HP / 0 Def Woobat: 186-222 (58.6 - 70%) -- approx. 2HKO
You can also see how considerable Meme Screens is.
The Speed Woobat has lets it outspeed Tapu Koko (the fastest immediate Pokemon Woobat can face out of double speed abilities) while Tailwind is up. However, be warned that it will only last for however long Tailwind will last, and then Woobat will have to rely on Calm Mind’s or Amnesia’s defensive boosts to even have a chance.
This Woobat also has Weakness Policy, which does compliment Simple, and the defensive boosts Woobat will get from Cotton Guard and Calm Mind/Amnesia. In fact, the deciding factor for either Amnesia or Calm Mind is determined by how well your team does against Special Attackers, as with Calm Mind, Woobat’s bulk may be too little against stronger Special Attackers, but with Amnesia, you have to rely on moves your opponent uses to have a higher special attack. Despite Meme Screens, Woobat is still Woobat and still pretty frail.
Stored Power is the go to move for this set, since a Maxed out Woobat (+4 Atk, +6 Def, +6 SpA, +6 SpD) gives you a 460 BP move. This can OHKO a Specially Defensive Jirachi btw
+6 252+ SpA Woobat Stored Power (460 BP) vs. 252 HP / 184+ SpD Jirachi: 364-428 (90 - 105.9%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO
While it can pretty much OHKO nearly everything, it can’t do any damage at all to Dark types with Stored Power, which thankfully Woobat gets coverage for in Giga Drain (because aside from Air Slash, it gets nothing else).
Some other bonuses are Woobat’s flying typing, allowing it to resist Grassy Glide and be immune to P-Blade.
There are some obvious flaws, especially without Omni Boosts, and that is Woobat does require some Pokemon with Meme Screens with some speed control, it gets booty blasted by fair and balanced mechanics (aka random crits), and if someone wants, they can dedicate a Pokemon with Prankster Haze.

Ability: Gluttony
EVs: 204 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 48 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Extreme Speed
- Power Trip
- Gunk Shot/Seed Bomb
This Lioone set is even more all or nothing and trades different qualities with Woobat.
Instead of going from somewhat frail to taking a Super Effective effective 120 BP move 6 times over, Lioone just forgos that insane and deceptive bulk for just ignoring the opponent with OHKOs and attacks. It will partner up with the Meme Screen setters, but it will also be effectively at half health without a way to boost its defensive stats. But hey, you can’t attack Lioone if you’re fainted, and how many Pokemon you know that are going to survive +6 against these 6 moves?
Speeking of which.
Extreme Speed is Lioone’s butter, and is how Lioone is ever considered. Unless you’re bulky/resist Normal, have better priority, priority immunities, Unaware, or are a Ghost, you likely aren’t surviving a +6 STAB Extreme Speed, even from its low attack stat.
Power Trip, after Salac and Belly Drum, gives Lioone a 160 BP Dark move, which will come in handy against some of those Pokemon mentioned before.
Gunk Shot and Seed Bomb are solely for Clefable and Quagsire respectfully, unless Clefable has Magic Guard.
The Speed EVs allow Linoone to outspeed Adamant Barraskewda in Rain after Tailwind and Salac Berry, by the off chance that there is both Rain and Psychic Terrain up or if you need to predict a Ghost switching in. It’s also just nice to have enough speed to outspeed the immediate fastest thing in all of Pokemon.

Tapu Bulu has been banned from Sketchmons.

In a completely unanimous vote, Tapu Bulu has been restricted from Sketchmons. Tapu Bulu was simply far too difficult to deal with offensively and often times beat through checks via sheer force, such as Corviknight, Scizor and Dragonite. Few offensive checks were actually valid vs Tapu Bulu, as +2 LO Glide often OHKOd these answers. This caused immense centralization in the builder, and forced the many various offensive teams in the metagame to go out of their way to find valid switchins to +2 Tapu Bulu. Alongside the more offensive nature of Sketchmons, these mons often ended up getting overwhelmed by a partner with coverage, such as Garchomp, Weavile, or Scizor. This effectively made many games depend on the status of an opponent's Tapu Bulu, and significantly restricted counterplay regarding revenge killing and potential moves made.

But nah, it's still legal for some reason, even though it was an uncompetitive problem the last time Sketchmons was on ladder.

In general, moves like this should be included with the Evasion Clause, even if they "aren't as effective". The only reason why these moves aren't really talked about is because most people just assume they are under the Evasion Clause. Regardless of how you feel moves that lower accuracy are viable or not, having your Pokemon's life be determined by what was a 100% accurate move that is now 60% is simply uncompetitive.

You could've easily taken out the Thundurus by just attacking instead of giving yourself more speed and thus rendering your Magearna unable to beat it. I won't say Prankster + Copycat shenanigans are[n't] broken, but this example is certainly not an example to support the case for a ban. You basically gained nothing from boosting your speed vs the Thundurus and did it anyway, so from a competitive standpoint that's all on you.

As for Serene Daze (calling it this only because it sounds cooler than "Serene Grace Night Daze"), neither Jirachi nor Togekiss get STAB from it and from the looks of it, the coverage doesn't actually do them much benefit (i.e. what does Togekiss need dark moves for). At the very most it looks as annoying as Thunder Wave + Air Slash/Iron Head shenanigans would be at best, and that's being fairly generous. I agree that Night Daze / accuracy-dropping moves shouldn’t be restricted unless they prove to be a significant problem. Anyway, Night Daze isn’t the only option out there…

Muddy Water has a 30% chance to lower accuracy compared to Night Daze’s 40% chance, but it provides better coverage. Notably, it hits Tyranitar, Clefable, Tapu Koko, and Heatran much harder. I’ll play around with this tomorrow but it looks very frustrating to play against on paper for now.



These two seem much more threatening now that Bulu is banned. Magnezone beats every steel except Heatran with fire coverage, allowing Lele to tear apart slow or fast teams depending on its choice item. Again, this just looks ridiculous on paper, especially with hazard support.



Speaking of hazards, I believe a good removal option at the moment is Rapid Spin Corviknight. It’s already a solid Defog user in normal tiers, but Rapid Spin allows it to deal with Magnezone more easily. If Corviknight switches in against an opposing hazard setter, it can Rapid Spin against the incoming Magnezone. This speed boost lets it U-Turn out before Thunderbolt fries it. If a bulky spinner is needed and the trade off for losing another sketch option is worthwhile, a set with Rapid Spin, U-Turn, Body Press will work.

I noticed Galarian Zapdos and Galarian Moltres aren’t in the VR. I’m not going to write much about them for now but Roost, Triple Axel, Dragon Ascent, Sacred Fire, Diamond Storm, and Strength Sap, Earth Power, [insert fire coverage], Trick, respectively, could be good. Galarian Articuno is probably beyond saving but I’m happy to be proven wrong.

Are you talking about turn 15 or 17?
Because in my replay, Thundurus’s Copycat always goes first due to prankster, use Copycat Fly, and then Magearna gets to do something that turn. Next turn, while Thundurus can’t be hit, Magearna does a move, then Thundurus attacks.
The loop as we can call it happened before Magearna was on the field, so unless Magearna had priority or Rocky Helmet, there is no way for Magearna to do anything in the situation.

504 HP kill everything bar blissey, and even with rocks damage offensive mons are doomed.
Of course it gets predictable, but even if it doesn't kill the intended target, it can break sweeps forcing a switchin.

And speaking of psychic terrain, polteageist isn't a joke anymore now that it can actually hit dark types, and can win games with a free turn

Just wanted to post this demon of a set.

With Thousand Waves, you're able to trap Toxapex and 2 hit KO it. It also lets you hit Heatran and Tyranitar for super effective damage and either outright KO or trap it and 2 hit KO. Very few common mons can switch into this thing with only Sacred Fire and Thousand Waves especially since it's immune to intimidate and with Sacred Fire having such a high burn chance

I think that the Thundurus was carrying a Lagging Tail. As far as I know, the Lagging Tail affects the second turn of Fly and thus making it go last each turn it hits. With Prankster Copycat always going first and the second turn always being last, Magearna would indeed be stuck in a loop without being able to hit an attack (until Fly's PP runs out that is).

I kinda see the initial point, but the strategy does have a lot of counters. Despite this, it is just a gimmick to cheat the opponent out of being able to hit attacks which does seem pretty uncompetitive to me.

Bans on the simulator have to be hotpatched in by tech staff when they are available. It is officially banned, but the implementation depends on when someone is able to make it happen.

That is true, but only if you’re slower and your opponent doesn’t have Lagging Tail (which if they are using this set, are likely going to use), and with changes in Gen 5, Thundurus will still get Priority on Copycat, but not on Fly. If my opponent had Lagging Tail (which given the rest of the team as a team filled with gimmicky sets, it would be pretty likely) or Iron Ball, Magearna could not do anything.
Additionally, this was before the Bulu ban, so there likely wouldn’t be a scenario where I get Thundurus down that low, as obviously the player isn’t going to send out Thundurus against Weavile.
But that’s really besides the point anyways. I won the match, but only after the opponent got a free kill, only after I had priority, and the loop can happen so long as you have anything that can’t OHKO Thundurus that likely has more investment into bulk.
It’s also not just Thundurus that can get this or similar combos. There are already Prankster users with Copycat that can use better moves like Shadow Force and some Prankster users have both Dig and Copycat already, so they can have the option to Sketch other moves like Soak (with Toxic Spikes/Toxic support) or Mean Look.

Here's a very fun set I've been using.

With Freeze Dry Keldeo is able to threaten two of it's biggest counters being grass types and water types. Being able to threaten ground types with the same move you threaten water types is also huge for easing prediction.

one of krook's biggest weaknesses is that it has a ton of weaknesses, this set takes full advantage of that with power trip + weakness policy. The problem with this set is that +1 krook is still slower than scarf lele but if you can set up multiple dd's the game is usually over. This pokemon hits like an absolute truck and snowballs after it gets a kill thanks to moxie. and here's a cool interaction, you dd under veil, the opponent switches to scarf buzzwole, a pokemon that usually hard beats this set, you click bulk up as he cc's, 252 Atk Buzzwole Close Combat vs. +1 0 HP / 4 Def Krookodile through Reflect: 165-195 (49.8 - 58.9%) , procs the policy and then look at this - +4 252 Atk Krookodile Power Trip (180 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Buzzwole: 307-362 (86.4 - 101.9%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO. bruh.

In Sketchmons, only one illegal move is allowed. It’s not possible to run more than one of Origin Pulse, Parting Shot, and Thousand Arrows. Thousand Arrows is banned anyway, and it’s probably better to go for a special move like Earth Power if you really want ground type coverage. Also Liquid Voice Boomburst Primarina probably hits harder.

I was curious so i actually calced it. To fully physdef pex, Specs Boomburt Prima does 44.4 - 52.6% while Specs Origin Pulse Claw does 50.6 - 59.8%. im proud of him.

Just noticed Bulu is banned. Mind just restricting grassy glide to the Pokemon that Naturally get it? With Bulu gone that means no grassy surge and the ban seems to mention that it is specifically banned because it can get grassy glide. Besides glide is a priority move almost equal to sucker punch in terms of power so wouldn't just restricting that move and letting people use bulu be better in terms of terrain warfare?

Moves are only banned if they're widely OP or very uncompetitive, like V-create, Shell Smash, or Electrify. Bulu alone was problematic, Grassy Glide doesn't break everything that uses it.
