So I used to play in OU heavily in 5th gen, but after 6th gen came around, i decided to dabble in some other tiers as well. I now enjoy playing RU most of the time, and with a pretty steady success in RU, I figured I would do an RMT for this team.
The team was built around Drapion, with a defensive core to meet his weaknesses. This is the result:
Slice N' Dice (Drapion) @ Scope Lens
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Cross Poison
- Night Slash
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
This was the base of the team. I overall enjoy Drapion, and the set allows for some decent coverage. Knock off is always good, Cross Poison and Night Slash offer great Crit possibilities coupled with Sniper & The Scope lens, and Earthquake just gives coverage. Overall, a pretty good poke.
Slurp (Meganium) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Synthesis
- Aromatherapy
- Leech Seed
- Energy Ball
My Special Defensive Wall. Hailing all the way from PU, Meganium has great potential covering Drapions ground weakness. A rather Grass-Oriented moveset, meaning grass types shut down Meganium Heavily, but that hasn't proved to be to much of a problem.
Doorbell (Bronzong) @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Gyro Ball
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Stealth Rock
My defensive wall. While sharing a fire weakness, the two of them work really well together, as I have other things on my team to counter that fire weakness. With Screens, Stealth rocks, and an offensive move, it makes for an amazing supportive pokemon.
Rainbow Dash (Rapidash) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Drill Run
- Flare Blitz
- Megahorn
- Wild Charge
My Choice Scarf Revenge Killer. Good coverage, fast and hard hitter, and covers the fire weakness of my core with flash fire. Fits in with the team well.
Paws (Banette-Mega) @ Banettite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Claw
- Shadow Sneak
- Gunk Shot
My Mega for the team. I honestly don't know why this thing is RU, its pretty powerful. You can hit hard with Shadow Claw and Gunk Shot, and gets priority Shadow Sneak. If you're about to die, you have the priority Destiny Bond to take another victim with you.
Pinnocheo (Shiftry) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Defog
- Dark Pulse
- Energy Ball
- Extrasensory
I needed a rapid spinner or defogger to get the hazards off my side of the field. Although I run stealth rock on my bronzong, as long as I get their hazards off of my side of the field, I can set up late game rocks with Doorbell. Even if there is no hazards, he can hit hard with all of the specially offensive moves.
Well, thats the team. If you have suggestions, please leave them down below, I'm looking for anything that helps.
