On def slowbro sets with twave you can give it 24 speed EVs to outspeed paralyzed m-lopunny. This helps tremendously when you're dealing with the PuP Encore set which I've seen a few times.

VVV EDIT: I disagree actually, because being able to safely twave after switching into any Mega Lopunny is much better than forfeiting all momentum by going for Slack Off. It helps a lot in general, not just against the encore set.

Let's say the opponent has a Latias, which is a really common partner for Mega Lopunny. Latias is also a common switch-in to slowbro when the opponent is looking for an opportunity to clear hazards. If you're not running 24 extra speed EVs on a twave set, you're putting yourself at risk of getting 3HKO'd if you choose to paralyze the lopunny before using Slack Off. However if you use Slack Off and the opponent switches directly to Latias, you've completely wasted a turn that you could have used to cripple Latias.

I talked about the above with other QC members and made a decision but forgot to post. Pretty much, Slowbro should not be wasting 24 EVs on Speed, which damages it defensive capabilities, just to deal with an uncommon and relatively ineffective Mega Lopunny set.

hey just want to share some thoughts about the defensive set. imo slowbronite is p lackluster in defensive set, unnecessary overlap and opportunity cost, and more you lose regenerator which is key helping slowbro pivoting, and even with that titatic bulk you are going to be forced in more slack off loops losing momentum more often and such. Not the best explanation but I think you can get the point. Also so much slashes imo. There is a big gap between Psyshock and the other options, beating SubCM Keldeo, decent neutral coverage vs most things and STAB is pretty good. Ice Beam is the closest because the amount of things it hits super effective (Gliscor, Garchomp, Latis etc.). Fire Blast and Foul Play are niche, nailing Ferrothorn is nice but not much use anyways, since vs other targets you need to catch them in the switch in (Bisharp etc), Foul Play is nice vs set uppers but lackluster vs everything else. imo these two maybe would be better to mention them in moves than slashes, but that's only my opinion ^.^

You have a good point regarding the Slowbronite, which is why it's the second slash rather than the first one. However, as I've said before, Slowbro's Regenerator is only doing it so much good when it's switching in and getting 2HKOed by the opponent (I listed some examples on the last page, and I could come up with more if you want). Mega Slowbro is a whopping 40% more physically bulky than regular Slowbro given the EV spreads in the OP, and that extra bulk can be really important, especially given how hard some of these Pokemon hit. Plus, ~25% more power is very handy; it's about as strong as a fully invested Timid Starmie, for comparison's sake.

i agree with deslashing slowbronite actually, it's an opportunity cost to run a vanilla defensive set w/ slowbronite. doing that.

Can Rocky Helmet be slashed after Leftovers on the Defensive set or given a mention in OO? You can easily afford to lose Lefties thanks to Regenerator and Slack Off and it lets you wear down physical attacks.
