It's meringue, and it's ugly, but it's deadly! It's Slurpuff! Anyways, here's an underrated set of Slurpuff.

Moves
========

Calm Mind serves as a boosting move, slowly boosting Slurpuff's Special Attack to deadly levels while also giving it some extra bulk to work with. Dazzling Gleam is Slurpuff's most reliable STAB move and hits decently hard with a few Calm Mind boosts. Flamethrower is a great coverage option that hits Steel-types such as Doublade, Bronzong, and Escavalier, who will often come in anticipating a Belly Drum set. Finally, Surf hits Fire-types such as Delphox and Moltres while also hitting Rhyperior for strong damage. However, Thunderbolt or Energy Ball could be used to hit Slowking and Clawitzer, while the former still hits Moltres and the latter Rhyperior. Draining Kiss is also a decent alternative over Dazzling Gleam and allows Slurpuff to heal off a lot of the damage it may sustain, but the power loss is very noticeable. Substitute can be useful to allow Slurpuff to set up more easily and avoid status, while Cotton Guard gives Slurpuff a lot of physical bulk to use. However, both moves force Slurpuff to expend a coverage move.

Set Details
========

The EV spread maximizes Special Attack and gives just enough Speed to sweep effectively with Unburden. The remaining EV's are invested into HP to give some more bulk, which Slurpuff may need to aid in setting up. Unburden comprises Slurpuff's niche as a deadly late-game cleaner, so it is a non-negotiable ability. Sitrus Berry gives Slurpuff a bit of one-time recovery to better last and activates Unburden. A Timid nature is used so that Slurpuff can outspeed Choice Scarf Delphox after the Unburden boost. Alternatively, a Modest nature could be used so that Slurpuff has a bit of extra power, but Slurpuff then becomes prone to being revenge killed by faster Choice Scarf users.

Usage Tips
========

This particular set becomes a threat less quickly than the Belly Drum variant, but it aims for a bit more longevity while boosting its power and bulk at a steadier pace. Calm Mind sets also have surprise factor: it can utilize Flamethrower to destroy Steel-types such as Doublade, who will typically come in anticipating a Belly Drum set. Slurpuff will often have the easiest time setting up on Pokemon that cannot do much to it, such as Spiritomb or Gligar.

Team Options
========

Like with any late-game cleaner, Slurpuff appreciates entry hazard support. Accelgor and Omastar both excel at providing entry hazard support to weaken the opposing team for Slurpuff to sweep. Wallbreakers such as Clawitzer, Druddigon, and Delphox are also appreciated to heavily weaken the opposing team for Slurpuff to sweep effectively. A slow pivot such as Eelektross may also be useful to get Slurpuff in safely, as Slurpuff typically does not have an easy time entering the battle. Hitmonlee or Kabutops can provide Rapid Spin support so that Slurpuff can more easily set up without sustaining prior damage.
