- Superpower
- Stone Edge

252+ Atk Tapu Bulu Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Tornadus-Therian: 288-340 (79.5 - 93.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Catch Tornadus-T on the switch; if sr is up, it's a guaranteed (actually 80%) OHKO. Z-move choice doesn't really matter as you don't need it to kill torn. SD could be replaced by Substitute to deal better with mispredicts or stone misses, but then you lack wallbreaking power and could also run more bulk and less speed.
Unfortunately 37% of Bulu run Stone Edge so torn-t might not switch in :(

Reserving Glare Serperior

Serperior @ Normalium Z
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Leaf Storm
- Glare
- Hyper Beam
- Hidden Power [Fire]/Hidden Power Ground

The idea for this set is to wait for the Tornadus to come in on the switch while you glare it crippling it for the rest of the match and making it lose one of it's most important assets, speed. After this happens it becomes unable to switch into many threats again such as this serperior considering a unboosted leaf storm into a Z hyper beam is always a KO.

You can either cripple this mon for life or set it up for a kill in turn "luring it"

252 SpA Serperior Leaf Storm vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Tornadus-Therian: 80-95 (22 - 26.2%) -- 9.4% chance to 4HKO

+2 252 SpA Serperior Breakneck Blitz (200 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Tornadus-Therian: 328-387 (90.6 - 106.9%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO

Of course Tornadus is not it's only target as many usual Serperior checks hate being hit by a glare as it can cripple them for the rest of the game.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Spikes / Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball

Gyro Ball is slashed on the analysis, but let's face it, Gyro Ball isn't run as often on Ferrothorn as other moves. Gyro Ball helps a lot in match-ups against Tornadus-T as it wants to switch in on Ferrothorn quite frequently, especially if it's Taunt or Heat Wave. It doesn't just help against Tornadus-T as it can also OHKO Tapu Lele while dealing heavy damage to Tapu Koko

0 Atk Ferrothorn Gyro Ball (137 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Tornadus-Therian: 169-199 (46.6 - 54.9%) -- 66.4% chance to 2HKO
0 Atk Ferrothorn Gyro Ball (116 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tapu Lele: 302-356 (107.4 - 126.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 Atk Ferrothorn Gyro Ball (144 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tapu Koko: 169-199 (60.1 - 70.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Ferrothorn Gyro Ball (144 BP) vs. 104 HP / 12 Def Tapu Koko: 166-196 (54 - 63.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Toxic Tangrowth

Tangrowth @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 212 Def / 48 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Giga Drain
- Knock Off
- Toxic
- Hidden Power Fire

Here we have Defensive Tangrowth, a pokemon that is weak on the special side and doesn't have room for Rock Slide or even Earthquake.
It is very easy to discover that this is the physically defensive set due to Leftovers, so Tornadus-T can think it is safe to enter on this thing on the switch.

Sleep Power has the problem of having a shaby accuracy (you will miss it a quarter of the times) and the presence of Tapu Koko as a top-tier pokemon, while the sleep clause exists and existed since many years that every team has a way to absorb a sleep without fearing too much.

I find Toxic much more reliable (you will miss it one every 10 attempts) because it puts a timer onto many targets that don't have reliable recovery or ways to get rid of this annoying status. Toxic is best paired alongside HP Fire, because the latter scares Steel-type pokemons to enter (bar Heatran).
Tornadus-T is difficult to trap in the traditional sense because it has a fast U-turn to escape from its checks and counters, plus Regenerator. Toxic also makes up for the loss of HP Ice because almost every 4x weak pokemon doesn't have reliable recovery (bar Gliscor).
Rock Slide has a 6,6% chance to 2HKO, but every Rock-weak pokemon is able to outspeed Tangrowth and hit it on the special side (Charizard-Y, Volcarona and other Flying types).

Luckily enough, the bird is weak to SR, so, with the aid of hazards and Toxic, Tornadus-T won't be able to heal off this combined damage and will die shortly after.

Today is my birthday, so I want to share my happiness with you.

Toxic Lando is usually used to counter Hawlucha, but it can also come in handy against bulky Grass-types, and Tornadus-T as well. Tornadus-T hates Toxic, as it cuts into its longevity quite a bit.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 248 HP / 196 SpD / 64 Spe
Careful Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Iron Head
- Body Slam

If you can afford to not use Jirachi as your rocker, it has room for Body Slam, which has a 60% chance to paralyze Tornadus-Therian upon contact. Wishrachi can also heal off Rocky Helmet damage with Wish, mitigating its susceptibility to being worn down and making it better suited for this job than the Scarf or Stealth Rock set.

Torn-T would normally love to switch into Jirachi, as it can get Rocky Helmet chip damage while eating Jirachi's hits and removing its Leftovers, and can avoid flinch hax. When paralyzed, however, Tornadus-T can't properly check many of the threats it's intended to check; even if it's still fast enough, Hurricane's inaccuracy stacks with the full paralysis chance to make the odds of hitting a Hurricane barely better than a coinflip.

Even if the opponent scouts for Body Slam, most things that could otherwise set up on Jirachi (Zygarde comes to mind) dislike being paralyzed.

Aight.
Good

Body Slam Jirachi - Para is gay, especially for Torn.
Edge Bulu - Edge is not very common at all anymore - a lot of the SD variants aren't even running Edge a lot of the time.

Decent

Toxic Lando - Torn doesn't beat offensive Lando sets anyway, only beats defensive and scarf lacking rock moves. Also Torn can still function with a Toxic on it - though it does annoy it as it's pressured to pivot out more than it might want to.
Toxic Tangrowth - Sleep Powder kinda does the same thing but maybe a little better.
Gyro Ball Ferrothorn - Kinda works but you're taking Helmet chip and in the long run it can even be pp stalled by Regenerator.
Glare Z Hyper Beam Serperior - SubSeed w Glare kinda already does the job but that's not to say this doesn't also beat it.
Edge Lando - Again, Torn doesn't beat any offensive Landos, and defensive really doesn't like dropping a slot for Edge in my experience. I'm purposefully ignoring Bright Powder.
Steelium / Normalium Kartana - Banded already fucks Torn after rocks, but this set fucks it at least without rocks so that's pretty cool.

Bad

Thunderbolt Hoopa-U - Don't pretend Torn comes in safely on Hoopa-U anyway - any set does a shit load to it.

This week I decided to go with a more offensive threat that still retains some defensive utility - it's Lando's annoying cousin, Zygarde!

Round 19: Weakness Policy Zygarde

Zygarde @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 240 Atk / 88 SpD / 180 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Thousand Arrows
- Iron Tail
- Extreme Speed

This set has been wreaking havoc in the OU metagame recently - see z0mog vs BKC in SPL9 semis. The SpDef allows it to guaranteed take a Specs HP Ice from Koko and an unboosted Moonblast from Lele. It's super hard for most teams to switch into right now, so some have to rely on luring it. Go ham. Deadline will be the 15/16th.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off

A big part of why Weakness Policy Zygarde thrives in today's meta is because Clefable has started to drop Knock Off very often over the last couple of months, in favor of Calm Mind and Wish variants. Knock Off's still a very solid option on Clefable for its ability to remove items from Pokemon like Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Toxapex. But, the big part of Knock Off is that it can remove Weakness Policy which means Zygarde will have a much harder time sweeping and can't abuse Clefable.

Scarf HP Ice Heatran

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
- HP Ice

General idea
Here we have a Scarf Heatran, which usually can't do anything to Zygarde and even less to the bulky variants.
Scarf Heatran is usually checked well by Zygarde because Flash Cannon can only 3HKO this bulky dragon, but Zygarde can easily set up a DD and demolish it with a Ground attack.
Now, this Heatran (278 Spe points) can even revenge kill a weakened +1 Zygarde because of Adamant nature and only 180 Spe EVs (271 Spe points).

HP Ice is really unexpected as well as the Choice Scarf.
But HP Ice is often used (or should be used more) in order to deal properly with all the 4x Ice-weak OU threats i.e. Landorus-T, Garchomp, Zygarde, Gliscor and so on.

EVs spread and item
The EVs spread is stolen from the Scarf set on the dex and it is focused on reaching the maximum Spe possible. Choice Scarf is here to outspeed the targets of HP Ice at least once (if they don't run Scarf on themself, though).

Calcs:
252 SpA Heatran Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 88 SpD Zygarde: 248-296 (69.4 - 82.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Heatran Hidden Power Ice vs. 244 HP / 152 SpD Gliscor: 276-328 (78.4 - 93.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal
252 SpA Heatran Hidden Power Ice vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Garchomp: 300-356 (83.7 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Heatran Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-Therian: 316-376 (99 - 117.8%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Heatran Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-Therian: 316-376 (82.7 - 98.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Heatran Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Latios: 122-144 (40.5 - 47.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Reserving Willo-Wisp Tran.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Taunt/Toxic/Stealth Rocks
- Will-O-Wisp
(scarf set and Z move set with Willo also work, it's just Willo tran in general)

The Basic Idea of this set is to Willo Zygarde since most will try to set up on you and you outspeed WP Zygarde so this set gives you a good MU against both, You cripple this thing and due to it's already low base attack of 100 it can't do fucking shit. Of course Willo is useful against many other mons who want to switch in on Tran letting you be able to cripple a fuck ton of mons (best moment was when somebody switched a gliscor in on a willo and got burned before Poison heal could go off). I've just been having a lot of fun with Willo recently and I've noticed that it does anal rape Zygarde (Also when you use willo if you outspeed you can tell it's probably WP)

Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Def / 12 SpD
Bold Nature
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic
- Soft-Boiled
- Counter

The threat of Toxic should put any WP Zygarde user on edge -- if it takes one, and the opponent manages to stall for time long enough, then the sweep is over. They are not likely to try to set up on Chansey; rather, if Zygarde is at +2 or more, the correct play is to 2HKO it with Thousand Arrows, taking a Toxic in the process, and making the most of its remaining time. This is where Counter comes in: Eat that first Arrows, then OHKO back with Counter.

+2 240+ Atk Zygarde Thousand Arrows vs. 244 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 354-417 (50.4 - 59.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

If Chansey is forced to reveal Counter earlier in the match, it can't lure Zygarde into attacking as easily, but they'll need more boosts to OHKO and avoid Counter, so you'll have more time to land Toxic on it.

Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

- Hidden Power [Ice] / Heat Wave
Usually, Zapdos is a good setup target for Zygarde since most are Defog atm, but Zapdos can change that with Toxic, which utterly crippled Zygarde to oblivion. Toxic is also nice for mons like Ttar and Mega Lati@s.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Soft-Boiled
- Moonblast / Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam

This is similar to Jordy's submission, but instead of Knock Off, it has Ice Beam. The point behind this set is to set up a CM as the Zygarde user sets up a DD, and when they expect a Moonblast, OHKO them with Ice Beam instead.

+1 0 SpA Clefable Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 88 SpD Zygarde: 356-420 (99.7 - 117.6%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

Ice Beam isn't solely used for Zygarde, either. SD Gliscor can abuse a lot of fat builds, even being able to comfortably beat Clefable 1v1 if it only has Moonblast, but Ice Beam beats Gliscor. Ice Beam also hits Grass-types like Kartana and Tapu Bulu for more damage. If the team already has a Stealth Rocker, then you should use Ice Beam in that slot, but if not, you could try to replace it with Moonblast (no idea how this would turn out btw, I generally only replace SR).

It'd be really nice if you'd update the archive for this thread, its currently really hard to use as an actual 'resource'. Either using the current format or the format in the OU cores thread, even just links to each weeks post so we can seen what has been done.
Yeah that's a fair point - I think Martin mentioned before that he wasn't updating the archive because he'd abolished the "winners" idea for the thread but putting the ones that I thought were good / decent for the week in the archive would be helpful for people trying to use this - I'll have it updated soon.
Anyway, this round I haven't done an analysis simply because none of the submissions were bad (aside from those that weren't actually finished); good job guys. Only thing I'd mention is that using HP Ice Tran as a lure revenge killer might not always work since if your immediate answer to a boosted Zygarde is to bring in a Heatran then it could seem fishy.

I've decided to go with another offensive threat this week, here it is:

Round 20: Reflect Type Mega Latias

Latias @ Latiasite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Stored Power
- Reflect Type

I've gone specifically with Reflect Type as it tends to be the variant of CM Lati that I have more trouble with personally and it requires a bit more thought to lure imo. Deadline is the 21st. As a side note, I'm gonna start reminding people who haven't completed their reservations to do so around a day before the deadline is met. Anyway, lure this threat!

Tornadus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Knock Off
- Toxic
- Defog

Mega Latias often tries to set up on Tornadus-T thanks to its natural bulk, but this prevents that from happening. With that said, Toxic can effectively shut down Mega Latias and prevents it from sweeping ever after because it will eventually die to Toxic poison.

Reserving Toxic Gliscor

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 152 SpD / 112 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Defog
- Roost
- toxic

Usually the last slot in gliscor's movepool is very customizable, I honestly like going toxic as it can cripple most switchins to Scor such as Lando, Gastrodon, Tangrowth, Zapdos or in this case, M Latias Reflect type. Usually you can just toxic it when it comes in and that is game for it as it can no longer sweep.

Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 168 HP / 252 Atk / 88 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge
- Superpower

Utility MegaTar loves switching into MLatias and bopping it with Pursuit - but nope, you got lured by Reflect Type and now it can freely boost as you switch or simply stall your ass out. Or can it? With Superpower taking the last slot, you just lured the lurer. GG.

Superpower also nails Heatran, Kartana and Ferrothorn with the one move, not to mention how brilliant Rock/Fighting coverage is in general, so it's an underrated option even if you never see Reflect Type.
