Mega Manectric creates openings for Heracross, allowing the Flame Orb to safely activate and either spam Guts boosted attacks or boost even further with Swords Dance. Heracross' most beneficial trait over Scizor is to pressure stall a much greater amount than Scizor ever could, at the cost of defensive capabilities and priority. The defensive backbone of the team consists of Tentacruel (Z-Haze), Klefki (Reflect) and Gliscor (Stealth Rock/U-turn), which cover each other weaknesses nicely while also forming a hazard stacking core, which is greatly appreciated by Mega Manectric. A good amount of speed was chosen on both Tentacruel and Gliscor to reduce the impact that wallbreakers like Nidoking, Entei or Lucario could have on the team. Choice Scarf Latias with Healing Wish rounds out the team, offering a measure of speed control as well as the option of bringing Heracross or Mega Manectric back to life, depending on the match-up.

M-Aero is faster than everything this team has to offer bar Latias, it pressures the defensive core of Gliscor, Klefki and Tentacruel, whilst out pacing both M-Manectric and Heracross. Sacking M-Aero versus Latias gives a great opportunity for Reuniclus to come in for free. This team has very little counter play to Reuniclus, the only dark type move on this team is Knock Off from Heracross which is why Colbur Berry is there. This team would enjoy counter measures such as Trick on Latias, or even Thunder Wave on Klefki.

So I saw this team and I thought, damn, Mamoswine cleans that shit up, it would be able to get rocks up easily and kill nearly anything it wants. Meanwhile idk wtf can kill malt on that team, not much if anything, Malt is b-b-b-b-broken as it is, so in this situation its just gonna wreak havoc. The only downside is nothing outspeeds Mega Manectric, but against this duo I don't think it'll be pickin people off or catchin people lackin so easily, honestly these mon just blap it regardless of speed. Similar situation with Latias.

Is it too "counterteamy" to choose Xatu + Cofagrigus? If not, that's what I'm reserving.

Xatu @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Psyshock
- Heat Wave
- U-turn
- Roost

Cofagrigus @ Ghostium Z
Ability: Mummy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Trick Room

So as a quick note, assume that you, the reader, are playing esche with his team with these mons, as I under no circumstances will ever win a game vs him.

Anywho, I quickly noticed two things. 1 - doot doot completely shuts down all 3 of the hazard setters on this team and 2 - there is a distinct lack of Ghost resists (though this can generally be said about the metagame as a whole). Thus, I came up with the combination of some of UUs biggest current sleeper threats. Xatu obviously easily blocks hazards from Gliscor, keys, and Tentacruel, so it instantly removes one of the team's major ways of dealing big chunks of damage. Colbur Berry or Rocky Helmet are probably the go-to items for Xatu if you're not running Z, and in this case Colbur can double up as a way to tank Knock Off from Heracross. Cofagrigus also shreds this team under Trick Room, and gets plenty of chances to set up both Nasty Plot and Trick Room, such as against (unboosted) Heracross thanks to Mummy, Gliscor, and a -2 Latias. If it gets under Trick Room, the best defense esche's team has is spamming Haze with Tentacruel to stop Cofagrigus from boosting. Once Tenta gets chipped to a little over half (252+ SpA Cofagrigus Never-Ending Nightmare (160 BP) vs. 232 HP / 0 SpD Tentacruel: 198-234 (55.1 - 65.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO), Cofagrigus is getting at least one kill, even if played relatively poorly. Very little needs to be done here to set up for the OTR Cofag sweep, and the team in question gives ample opportunity to do so. Combine this with Xatu shutting down the team's hazards game, and Cofag and it's teammates will be able to operate much easier and clear a path for victory.

This is a VoltTurn core, that I built around Mega-Manectric, which is a fast threat, with a good offensive presence, due to the combination of its high Speed-tier, decent Special Attack, access to Overheat/Flamethrower and an excelent ability as Intimidate, make it very threatening to offensive/balance builds. Mega-Manectric can also use Volt Switch to give a free switch-in for a teammate. The set is fairly well standard. Thunderbolt is the best STAB option when need a more powerfull alternative. Volt Switch allows Mega Manectric to give a safely free switch-in for its teammates. Hidden Power Ice is used to nail Gliscor with super effective damage as well as prevent Latias from switch-in safely on its face. Overheat does more damage than Flamethrower, and has a high chance to OHKO Klefki, but it's your choice, if you want a higher immediate damage output, or an option to avoid the Special Attack drop, but with a remarkable difference of power.

So, I've decided to pair it with Band Scizor, that can take advantage from Volt Switch, trapping things like Latias with Pursuit, when forcing a switch out, just being careful with Hidden Power Fire. It's a good teammate to Mega-Manectric, since it's walled by special defense pokémon for days and Hidden Power Ice does a little damage to Latias, and back Mega-Manectric can deal with bulky Water-types, such as Tentacruel, and this creates opportunities for a teammate to come in and sweep in late-game.
252 SpA Manectric-Mega Overheat vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Heracross: 304-358 (100.9 - 118.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Manectric-Mega Overheat vs. 196 HP / 96 SpD Klefki: 294-348 (96.7 - 114.4%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

252 SpA Manectric-Mega Hidden Power Grass vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Quagsire: 384-452 (97.4 - 114.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Manectric-Mega Hidden Power Ice vs. 244 HP / 196 SpD Gliscor: 272-324 (77.2 - 92%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

252+ Atk Choice Band Scizor U-turn vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Latias: 410-486 (135.7 - 160.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

M-Altaria walls 4/6 of his team with Z-Haze Cofag beating Heracross as once he knocks he'll only lose atk from his burn. Cofag also beats Klefki which is the only other thing that can pressure M-Altaria.

https://pokepast.es/00dbd9ba58f909b3

This team utilises that M-Altaria and Cofagrigus beats many of the viable stall breakers. Then Blissey blanket checks most special attackers as well as providing Stealth Rocks and WishPass. Then the dual water core of Quagsire + Mantine beat many of the remaining physical threats and Suicune/Slowbro. Then Klefki beats any grass types that are still dangerous, such as M-Abomasnow, while also providing extra chip damage with spike support.

Now obviously the opposing team starts out with Mega-Manetric what I start off with is Mega-Steelix And when he switches into Heracross to use the flame orb I go ahead and use toxic so that the flame orb won't work. Now the obvious complaint is "What if the toxic misses?" Well, it won't matter because facade will be useless on mega-Steelix and his defense. Now Heacross does have superpower but it won't OHKO the mega-Steelix Because of its Defense. And for the rest of the other mons, they will either get OHKO'ed or 2HKO'ed by Crawdaunt's high attack with Adaptability and Mega-Steelix with decent attack and high Defense. Now Mega-Manetric's Overheat can OHKO Mega-Steelix but it's only by a small chance that will happen.

Yeah i'm sorry i'm still not accepting this because you don't seem to have a sufficient understanding of common or viable sets on the pokemon you've chosen, and you also don't really have a good understanding of how the opposing team functions. Also, this post made my eyes bleed.

Yeah so this is going to be a pretty easy explanation from my part. So starting off, refresh mega latias litterally 6-0s this team and sets up on 4/6 of those mons. Refresh mega latias sets up on klefki with klefki litterally not being able to touch this mon. It also sets up on gliscor as once again IT CANT TOUCH THIS MON. It also sets up on mega manetric as it takes max 31 from a hp ice without a spdef boost. The final mon it sets up on is tentacruel as the mon cant tocuh you, haze is semi annoying but you have super effective stab vs it so this changes little to nothing either way. Mega latias also has a 100% chanch to ohko heracross after one boost, +1 0 SpA Latias-Mega Stored Power (60 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Heracross: 270-320 (89.7 - 106.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
As well as mega latias takes little to nothing from scarf latias's draco and is easily able to roost off any damage it does, 252 SpA Latias Draco Meteor vs. +1 252 HP / 0 SpD Latias-Mega: 180-212 (49.4 - 58.2%) -- 98% chance to 2HKO.

Scizor is here to basically turn this good matchup into an instant wincon if this thing comes in on latias. Because if you get scizor in on this latias, one of two things happens. If latias clicks hp fire, you then go to mega latias, click cm, and win. If they click draco meteor, you you kill them with pursuit. Also, scizor allows you to come in on scarf latias's draco as without the +1 boost from cm, mega latias doesnt like getting hit by draco. And if the latias healing wishes youve accomplished its job of killing latias anyways

The goal of this team was to build a balance/semistall around subtox Gliscor, an underrated threat that takes advantage of a lot of current meta trends such as the prevalence of Washtom. Spikes support is key for Gliscor, as it punishes the most common ways of playing around the subtox set. As hazard support I decided to go with bulky Starmie, a relatively rare set, using Reflect Type to bypass Alola-Muk and Scizor. DDD Malt provides a wincon for most games while also giving me useful resistances throughout the game.
