As many of you are aware, Smeargle's Studio is built from our flourishing community, the wonderful pieces you share, and an uplifting and constructive environment for new and veteran artists alike. To help keep a consistent structure within the forum, moderators happily maintain and enforce rules as needed, host community events, and help the forum stay safe and welcoming to everyone, whether an artist or not. Be that as it may, moderators are human as well, and are very much prone to human fatigue, burnout, stress, pressure, and irl situations that may prevent one from having dedicated time for the forums for extended periods of time. As such, we'd like help from the heart of Smeargle's: our community to grow our moderation team!
What we're looking for in Staff
For a Smeargle's Mod, we generally looks for the following:
- Being a badged Artist.
- A calm and easygoing attitude to fit our staff.
- Flexibility when it comes to working together/alone on projects, be it big or small respectively.
- A relatively consistent availability both on the forums and in the Discord server.
- This does NOT mean you have to absolutely be omnipresent. Breaks are healthy for everyone, so please know you are more than welcome take them as needed.
- Have a strong love and desire for the community and forum and a wanting to help improve and build upon them.
- Experience moderating elsewhere is recommended, but by no means a requirement!
Smeargle's Studio Moderator Duties
Some of your duties as a Smeargle's Mod can include but are not limited to:
- Making sure community art threads and posts comply with Smeargle's Studio's Rules
- Hosting Big and/or Small Events
- Helping Handle Artist Approval Applications
- Tracking Artist Badge Progress
- Maintaining and enforcing all Smeargle's Rules in the Discord Server
