Smocon '09: Calgary, Alberta?

I dunno what the drinking age in quebec is.

Olie, I hope your one 'trump' card tastes good when the mall that is bigger than west ed is finished in Balzac (pronounced Ball-sack) just outside of Calgary this summer. Don't be throwing stones in glass, oversized malls.

I don't see any reason why we couldn't have concurrent smocons- one in england, to appease all those who are unfortunately british (or those that are fortunately british), one in NYC and one in the western part of North America. Just tossing it out there.

I'd be down with Chicago, I'm sure I could find a way to score some tickets even if I have to abuse a credit card to do it...I have a friend there I'm long overdue to see, I wanna see the field museum and I hear there's a reasonable aquarium there too.

probably the only thing these 3 provinces have in common

the rest is 19+

Hopefully next time then, on the next Québec referendum rather than barge in and pollute the political atmosphere, you (Canadians, including westerners) will stick to your words and stay home, leaving Québec with its decision.

Hopefully, you will stick to your beliefs and will not hypocritically silence your dislike for Québec for a few weeks only, during which the country's unity is put in question. Canada remains two solitudes; quite unhealthy for a supposed confederation that never really was one in which one of them just happens to be a minority. Sometimes, a good divorce is better than a bad marriage.

i moved from philly to jersey city, which is like 10 minutes from nyc essentially. so if people ever wanted to meet up there over the summer, i'm game (preferably a 21+ crowd)
 
I'll be about an hour train ride from NYC this summer due to an internship and would certainly love to get my drink on with some smogoners over a weekend

only 19 though :/ so couldn't really do much in a bar
 
I don't know most of smogon as well as I'd like to but I still think Chicago would be a ton of fun. I could make it. I'd probabely bring my girlfriend, if I went though.

I was there at the beginning of march and won a national championship at the ice arena that is on site at the college.
