Sup, TDNT here o/.
This post is something I have planned on doing for a while to recommend some promising guys to the managers — that being said, not everything went as I envisioned. I honestly didn't think I'd join the tournament this time around: my availability had been getting worse since SCL started and so did my will to play the game, but well... here we go again. A few people reached out to me by the time the signups dropped and I finally decided to signup, but this time with an approach different than solely focusing on winning. Despite my crippled availability and some other hobbies that have recently caught my interest, I consider this as myself giving another chance to this game and I want to be clear that my main goal for now is to have fun — which may result in wacky picks being loaded from time to time and probably some suboptimal gameplay as well (that being the reason why I once again chose to face the auction).
Alternatively, I want to drop some names that have indeed been tryharding in the recent times and definitely look forward to join the big stage in SPL!
Ampha - Lower tier all-rounder that has incredible support value, not your starter nor an OU mainer but can play the most recent generations very well; he was also one of my helpers last SPL and I appreciate a lot the effort he put up for me.
avarice - Very consistent player in whichever tier he's playing, never fails to surprise me with his gameplay and has shown some good results in different OU tiers this year; he's one guy I never doubt on winning.
Dugtrio Is Broken - Brazilian ladder hero that's also a good friend of mine; great player, amazing presence and motivated to the point I truly believe he has what's needed to perform in this tournament.
Leaning Tower - Previously known as A plague doc, same description as the previous player except for the fact that they have already showed their value in big tournaments this year; I just wanted to ensure it and vouch for them after the name change.
LpZ - Not only of lower tiers lives the current Grand Slam champion, and his Smogon Masters run shows it; everybody knows how great of a player he is, I do not think further commentary is needed here.
noone - THE ONE has been putting great results since the SS era and I honestly don't know why he still hasn't played a SPL as of now; I've always thought of him as a consistent player in SM OU, SS OU and now SV OU too.
Slowpoke Fan - As the SS OU mainer that I am, I truly appreciate all the hard work this dude does to take care of my tier; he's of course a good player but also very caring about the tier's contents as of updating them to the new metagame tendencies that had popped up as the years passed.
Tenebricite - By the time I started playing Discord and Forum PLs he had already been farming them quite often, and since then we exchanged a lot of Ws and Ls in both SM OU and SS OU across the years; I'd say he's one of my favourite rivals in this game and I'd really appreciate to face him once again, but this time in SPL.
