I've noticed people adding trainer sprites to their messages, kind of like Pokemon sprites but for trainers. I've tried doing something like for example :colress: but it doesn't work. I can copy the picture from PS, but it's kinda tedious and leaves a little attachment thing at the bottom, which I don't see on other messages. Anyone know how to do this?

Those are just [IMG] tags which you can access in the text editor by the second option in the fourth section (the landscape photo)

That's probably just because they attached the imagine via a link or something instead of directly copy pasting, but trainer images still aren't something Smogon natively supports to my knowledge. For proof, look at the image below. "Unsupported" images like the trainer will appear elevated when compared to text and supported images.

Looks like the first bit of the question was answered so I'll just touch on this point. Those images at the bottom only appear if you attach an image and don't use it in the post. For example, I have two Mews attached to this post, but since I don't have the shiny one as an image in the post it will appear at the bottom instead.

If you want to test what a post will look like you can post in a forum called sandbox. It's in a banner directly under where it says "Forums", but you can also just ctrl+f the page for the word sandbox
you can post as much as you want in sandbox, and you're the only person who will be able to see your sandbox posts
