I mainly play National Dex UnderUsed and want a badge, but there aren't any NDUU tournament dates set yet so I don't think I can get a badge that way. I have 2 suspect tests under my belt for the tier (Iron Moth and Okidogi) and suspect a third suspect on the way soon with Pecharunt. How many more suspect tests do I need to do from the 2 I've completed now for a Tiering Contributor badge, or is there an easier way to obtain a badge that wouldn't involve straying away from NDUU?
Good forum presences (making informative posts, engaging in discussions, assisting with resources) tend to be rewarded with pre-contributor, community contributor, or metagame resource contributor badges. These have fairly subjective thresholds and depends on your standing in the community as to whether you are nominated for those badges. Tiering Contributor for NatDex UU requires 6 votes if I remember correctly.
Tournaments would not award badges anyhow.

When a user gets a name change, a custom title (caption thingy) is added to their profile for a period of time so people are aware of who that user used to be known as.

Lowkey I'm trying to #own when it comes to smogon. I just want to like understand what is the best way to gather badges and aura on this website. I feel like i got the aura, but for some reason mods have passed me by when it comes to getting tier contributor on the forums man. i have the meta knowledge and have contributed to the suspect tests, but i rly just want a badge to show that I really have contributed to the metagames of this beautiful children's game. i've been top 5 in OU for gen 5/6/7, Ubers and other metagames when I get bored. just give me them template and i will follow it. we are all adults here(i hope), let me make the metagames swag af :)
What can i do to get a smogon badge.
With great honor smogon has it ways. I would like to be part of the community aside being a regular user. Is there any task before i can get a badge ?

There are two roads to take to farming badges and aura on the site:
Road 1: play a lot in suspects and tours, earn your TC badge quick, and then move into one of the competitive help sections such as tutoring, team rating, tour hosting, or posting well in the tier subforums (or all the above)
Road 2: contribute. Write analyses or GP, get your ladybug quick, and become further integrated in the contributions sphere through social media, the flying press, etc. Bonus points if you teach yourself basic html.
Only those with true aura on the site master both roads
I do not believe so. The closest thing is the general BBcode help page which contains some tags not shown in the base editor like PLAIN, and the first two are custom features that have at least been documented in the Small Forum Updates thread as they have been added.
An easier way to add Pokemon sprites and minisprites to posts was added, which hopefully should make life easier for you guys when posting RMTs and VR threads and the like.
For example,
whereas prefixing it with a generation's two-letter code adds that generation's full-size sprite / 3D model. E.g.
Further tweaks / optimisations may be made to this feature, but it's currently functional...

Prob not the place to ask this but any chance a place where all of these are documented gets made. Would be much easier for users instead of looking for scattered forum updates threads.

But I just realized I don't know what base stats exactly are
Like, I know 100 Speed is a decent speed tier, I know a 100 HP Pokemon is bulky and will have 404 HP, I know some Pseudolegendaries have 135 Base Atk so it becomes 405 on level 100, or Alakazam's 135 SpAtk, I know Onix has awful base stats and Whitney's Miltank has a pretty high BST total for the third gym of a G/S/C playthrough, etc etc etc.
But why is it 100, why is it 135
What do exactly those numbers mean

These are numbers that Game Freak sets on each Pokemon that instructs a range of how the stats come out in-game when accounting for level, EV, and nature investment. They are arbitrary and perhaps meaningless in the sense that Game Freak sets them and that's all there is to it.

I don't know that specific numbers have been ever formally attached in any game or media, but the Pokedex on the Pokemon website has a visual abstraction of the base stats.
