Smogon Superstars II Preliminaries

Smogon Superstars II

Round 1:All 64 players will be randomly divided into 8 groups of 8 players. Players must face everyone else in their group. Players will advance based on W/L ratios. The top 2 players per group will advance to the Super 16. Playing all matches in this round would be beneficial, as one of the tie-breakers in the Super 16 is the performance in this round. The tie-breakers for this round are average win ratios of those a player has beaten and sudden death matches. The simplest method will be first priority for tie-breakers. The OU tier for the tournament will be decided in this round. The approximate time allotted for this round will be 3 weeks to a month. Results will be recorded under the group, with each person's individual record underneath their name. Victories will be bolded, and the player's record will be written next to their name.
