Smogon Tour 31

It is time once more for arguably the most popular and unarguably the best tournament on Smogon: Smogon Tour. This will be our 31st season, and the third one of the 8th generation!

The Smogon Tour is a series of Live Tournaments starting this time on the 12th of March. The format is the same as usual, consisting of the three most recent OU generations (SS OU, SM OU and ORAS OU, in this very order). The Live part of the tournaments will last 9 weeks where everyone will earn a certain amount of points according to their weekly performances. Once this phase is over, we'll move to Playoffs with the 16 best players of the tournament. The winner of the Smogon Tour will obtain the glorious Pink Trophy

, and either a PS! custom avatar or an inactive account on Pokémon Showdown!, courtesy of Zarel.

As usual, all the tournaments will take place on the smogtours server, unless stated otherwise. The times at which they will start are unchanged and are as follow:

• 6 pm GMT -4 on Fridays (Only the first Friday will be 6 pm GMT -5!!!)
• 4 pm GMT -4 on Saturdays (Only the first Saturday will be 4 pm GMT -5!!!)
• 2 pm GMT -4 on Sundays.

Remember that you can only join two tours per week. Players caught joining three tours in one week will be disqualified the first time, and banned for the rest of the season the second time. You cannot make a new account to circumvent the rule either. Also, you are not allowed to ask for wins, offer wins, throw games or interfere in other people's battles (ghosting them or their opponent). Nor are you allowed to insult your opponent, spectators and especially not the host. If you do any of the things mentioned in this paragraph, be prepared to get infracted and potentially banned from our Tournaments. We will take retroactive actions if needed.

The battles for each individual regular season tour are best of 1 and those tournaments are single elimination. The top 16 players in the regular season qualify for the playoffs, which are best of three series that are still single elimination.

We are bound to get some traction here with this thread being advertised on PS!, so might as well try to reduce the "in" spam. To recapitulate, to join a Smogon Tour you have to post "in" when their respective threads are posted in this very same forum. The times are present in the OP, but you may see them below:

• 6 pm GMT -4 on Fridays (Only the first Friday will be 6 pm GMT -5!!!)
• 4 pm GMT -4 on Saturdays (Only the first Saturday will be 4 pm GMT -5!!!)
• 2 pm GMT -4 on Sundays.

After joining the tournament, you head over to smogtours.psim.us and wait until the round 1 is posted and play a BO1 against your opponent. If you win, report it to the host, then wait until Round 2 is posted and find your new opponent to play. Smogon Tours take around 2h30mins to 3hrs from Signups to Finish, so you should keep that in mind.
