It is time once more for arguably the most popular and unarguably the best tournament on Smogon: Smogon Tour. This will be our 36th season, the second of the 9th generaiton! Furthermore, after some time, we are back to the classic format of old: three days with the classic times everyone is used to.

Smogon Tour is a series of live tournaments starting on Friday, March 22nd at 8pm GMT-4. The format is the same as usual, consisting of the three most recent OU generations (SV OU, SS OU and SM OU respectively). The live tournaments will last 9 weeks -- constituting the regular season -- where everyone will earn a certain amount of points according to their weekly performances. Once this phase is over, we'll move to playoffs with the 16 best performers from the regular season. The winner of the Smogon Tour will obtain the glorious Pink Trophy

and either a PS! custom avatar or an inactive account on Pokémon Showdown!.

As usual, all the tournaments will take place on the SmogTours server, unless stated otherwise. The times at which they will start are as follow:
  • 6 pm GMT EST (GMT-4) on Fridays
  • 4 pm GMT EST (GMT-4) on Saturdays
  • 2 pm GMT EST (GMT-4) on Sundays
Remember that you can only join two tours per week (not all three) and your best score each week counts towards the standings only (not both scores). Players caught joining three tours in one week will be disqualified and docked points the first time; repeat offenders will be banned for the rest of the season. You cannot make a new account to circumvent the rule either. Standard tournament rules all apply so keep in mind that asking for wins, offering wins, throwing games or interfering in other people's battles (ghosting them or their opponent) is strictly prohibited. You are not allowed to insult your opponent, spectators or the host either, so please be a decent human being -- it is not hard whatsoever. If you do any of the things mentioned in this paragraph, be prepared to get infracted and potentially banned from our Tournaments. We will take retroactive actions if needed.

Don't forget to join our discord server to make sure you never miss a tour; you can ask here if you have any of your questions regarding this tournament. BKC has been so kind as to upload a video explaining how the tournament works and how YOU can join and play it!

After last season concluded with MichaelderBeste2's first trophy win, the streets are ripe with people wondering whether or not it's finally Finchinator's time. Fear not, we shall find the answers to these questions and many others over the next 9 weeks! Best of luck to all! :blobwizard:

For this iteration, there's a total prize pool of $150, of which $100 will be awarded to the overall winner and $50 to the runner-up!

The art of stours playoffs last year was fucking amazing and I really hope it comes back

also praying to not roll the same guy 3 fucking times across the event

Hello, I’ve made the decision that this will be my first individual tournament trophy, I will get the first seed and I will beat everybody with ease no matter who’s in front.
I will be coming back to this post once I win, if I lose please make fun of me

Wait, I just realized I may be GMT -5 and not -6. Is Centeral Time Zone GMT -5?! Have I been accidentally deceiving people and still somehow managing to schedule?!

Timezone changed last weekend, meaning US Central is -5 instead of -6 until October!
