My parents bought video games for my brother and sister. I, being the youngest there, wondered how the hell they were controlling the TV, because my perception was that everything is pre-recorded. I was watching saturday morning cartoons like anyone else and saw the classic commercial with different Pokemon tightwalking on a link cable. Seeing how season 1 was fucking awesome, I couldn't tell the difference between the two and brought it to school to see if anyone had it. Then came the trading cards. Remembered it like yesterday. My first one was a Base Growlith, won from roshambo at lunch. I tried playing people with it and didn't know why not. In a few weeks, the cards were banned from school and that pissed me off. "Just because some idiots abused their priviledge doesn't mean everyone will," was probably my first logical argument in life. As the vicious cycle of new video games and card sets to collect were doled out, I became increasingly sheltered in them due to being isolated my whole elementary years from causing a few disruptions (there was just a "severe behavior room" at the time, and I got chewed because they weren't prepared for a light case such as mine).
Anyway, middle school was mainly YuGiOh with Pokemon at the side. I grew tired of having to train things without people around me and... oh shit cant think of anything else now
