[OVERVIEW]

Normal
========

Curse Snorlax performs the role of a bulky setup sweeper and a late-game sweeper for Normal-type teams against types such as Fairy and Electric. It is able to take on threatening attackers such as Mega Gallade and Keldeo after a single Curse boost and can be hard to stop once it has sufficient boosts. Its high special bulk lets it handle special attackers such as Tapu Koko and Latios and find opportunities to set up. Gluttony + Recycle allows Snorlax to use a reliable way of recovery without draining much momentum. However, Snorlax's low Defense makes it easily beaten by strong physical attackers such as Dragonite and Tapu Bulu if it does not has sufficient Curse boosts. Its reliance on Curse boosts to act as a sweeper also makes it susceptible to Taunt users such as Gliscor, Heatran, and Mew. Another downside to Snorlax is its inability to cure status conditions. Toxic in particular completely shuts it down.

evs: 228 HP / 252 Def / 24 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Curse allows Snorlax to patch up its lackluster Defense stat and tank Secret Sword from Choice Specs Keldeo much better. The Attack increase also enables Snorlax to be a potent sweeper against types like Fairy. Recycle allows Snorlax to reuse its Iapapa Berry and acts as a form of recovery, allowing Snorlax to not get worn out in the battle. Facade allows Snorlax to take advantage of burns and paralysis by dealing good damage to defensive status inducers like Will-O-Wisp Rotom-W and Scald Swampert. Fire Punch lets Snorlax deal good damage to Steel-types such as Mega Scizor, Celesteela, and Skarmory.

Set Details
========

228 HP investment along with maximum Defense investment allows Snorlax to take on powerful attackers such as Keldeo and Mega Gallade much better after a single Curse boost. The rest of the EVs are dumped into Special Defense along with a Careful nature to allow it to take on powerful special attackers such as Mega Diancie and Tapu Koko. Gluttony allows Snorlax to consume its pinch Berry at 50% HP or less, which is important for keeping it healthy without losing momentum.

Usage Tips
========

It is best to utilize Snorlax late-game when its checks, such as strong wallbreakers like Calm Mind Keldeo and Mega Gallade and phazers such as Hippowdon and Mantine, are taken out by its teammates. Snorlax should be wary of potential Toxic users such as Zapdos and Toxapex; scout the sets before attempting to set up Curse. However, Snorlax can act as a burn or paralysis absorber for the team, powering up Facade, and it can even get itself burned by switching into move such as Scald so that it won't be crippled by Toxic. Knock Off users such as Bisharp, Alolan Muk, and Azumarill should be avoided at all costs. Common Taunt users such as Mew, Gliscor, and Heatran can stop Snorlax from setting up and using its recovery move, so they need to be checked before Snorlax can set up safely. Snorlax should find opportunities to set up Curse against special attackers that it can handle such as Nidoking and Hydreigon. When setting up Curse, Recycle should be used to keep Snorlax healthy and gauge the damage dealt by opposing Pokemon; keeping Snorlax in a healthy HP range helps to find more opportunities to set up Curse.

Team Options
========

Mega Pidgeot is a great teammate for Snorlax, as it can not only break down and pressure Steel-types like Celesteela, Ferrothorn, and Scizor but also beat Fighting-type Pokemon such as Mega Gallade, Breloom, and Keldeo as well as provide Defog support. Defensive Intimidate Staraptor can take on strong physical attackers such as Mega Gallade and provide pivoting with U-turn. It checks Fighting-type Pokemon thanks to STAB Brave Bird and provides Snorlax with Defog utility. Chansey can provide Stealth Rock support, which will allow Snorlax to weaken Pokemon that can check it such as Choice Band Dragonite. Additionally, Chansey can use its Natural Cure to sponge crippling status moves such as Toxic for Snorlax. Chansey also checks powerful special wallbreakers that Snorlax cannot handle such as Landorus. Swords Dance or Choice Band Diggersby can weaken the opponent's defensive core; the former in particular can pave the way for Snorlax to set up Curse, as it effectively beats out common defensive Pokemon that may be a hindrance to Snorlax such as Mantine, Toxapex, and Mega Venusaur. Similarly, Mega Lopunny can break down shared checks with Snorlax and act as a Knock Off sponge. It also breaks down Steel-type teams due to STAB High Jump Kick. By using a Power-Up Punch + Encore set, Mega Lopunny can beat defensive Pokemon that can check Snorlax such as Toxapex. Due to a diverse movepool, Porygon2 can provide utility support to Snorlax by weakening walls such as Swampert with Toxic, beating stallbreakers like Gliscor with Ice Beam, and pressuring Pokemon such as Mantine and Celesteela with Discharge. It can also punish setup sweepers such as Mega Scizor by using Foul Play. Ditto deters setup sweepers that pose a threat to Snorlax such as Gyarados and Mega Gallade and it acts as a revenge killer by countersweeping Pokemon that try to setup. Porygon-Z is a decent teammate that can blast through defensive threats to Snorlax like Gliscor and Celesteela due to its BoltBeam coverage.

Other Options
=============

Normal
--------
Earthquake is an option over Fire Punch to hit Rock- and Electric-types such as Terrakion and Zeraora better, but using Earthquake makes Snorlax suspectible to Steel-types that don't mind it like Mega Scizor, Skarmory, and Celesteela. Snorlax can utilize a Rest and Sleep Talk set with Leftovers to set up Curse boosts without getting crippled by moves such as Toxic and Knock Off, but using a RestTalk set makes Snorlax forgo coverage to hit Steel-type Pokemon.

Checks and Counters
===================

Normal
--------
**Physical Wallbreakers**: Strong wallbreakers like Choice Band Dragonite, Swords Dance Diggersby, and Zeraora can break Snorlax relatively easily if it does not has sufficient Curse boosts. Z-Move users such as Gyarados can also break Snorlax by using a powerful move after setting up.

**Fighting-types**: Powerful Fighting-types such as Mega Gallade, Keldeo, and Kommo-o threatren to KO Snorlax with their super effective STAB moves.

**Knock Off**: Prominent Knock Off users such as Alolan Muk, Azumarill, and Mega Sableye can make Snorlax unable to use Recycle and recover.

**Toxic**: Toxic puts non-Rest Snorlax on a timer and renders it unable to win games for the team.

**Taunt**: Stallbreakers such as Gliscor, Mew, and Heatran can use Taunt on Snorlax to stop it from accumulating Curse boosts or using Recycle.

**Phazers and Haze Users**: Phazers such as Skamory, Hippowdon, and Swampert can force out Snorlax with Whirlwind and Roar. Common Haze users such as Toxapex and Mantine can very easily nullify all the Curse boosts accumulated by Snorlax and beat it by wasting PP of its moves.

**Ghost-types**: Ghost-type Pokemon such as Mega Sableye and Cofagrigus are immune to Facade and take little damage from Fire Punch due to their good natural bulk.

[OVERVIEW]

Normal
========

* Snorlax performs the role of a bulky set up sweeper and a win condition for Normal-type teams with its Curse set.
* It has the ability Gluttony which makes it consume Berries earlier than usual thus allowing Snorlax to use Iapapa berry effectively to recover its health and keep momentum which is not the case if Snorlax is using a Rest set as then it is prone to being set up on.
* Snorlax not only has high HP stat but also good Special Defense stat which allows it shrug off Special attackers such as Tapu Koko and Latios and find opportunities to set up.
* However Snorlax has low Physical Defense at base 65 which makes it prone to strong Physical attackers such as Dragonite and Tapu Bulu which can break Snorlax easily if it does not has sufficient Curse boosts under its belt.
* Snorlax also has low Speed stat which means it will always take an attack first and so it can be easily pressured by stronger faster attackers hence, it will be forced to use its recovery option more.
* Snorlax is reliant on Curse boosts to act as a sweeper however its reliance on a set up move like Curse makes it susceptible to Taunt users such as Gliscor, Heatran and Mew which can easily shut it down and Knock its berry off in case of Gliscor and Mew.
* Since Snorlax relies on pinch berry as a form of recovery it is prone to Knock Off, as once the berry is Knocked Off, Snorlax will be unable to Recycle the berry and hence out of recovery option.
* Snorlax also struggles against Haze users such as Toxapex and Mantine which can simply nullify its Curse boosts and PP stall it.

* Another downside to Snorlax relying on pinch berry for recovery is its inability to cure status conditions. In particular Toxic completely shuts down Snorlax and puts it on a timer and as a result it cannot accumulate enough Curse boosts to sweep

The things I crossed out are more of a Usage Tips or Set Details idea that (I believe) would be better suited there, rather than in the overview. Though imo there could be more positive traits of what Snorlax can do, since it looks like the negatives outweigh the positives, making it seem like a hinderance.

Moves
========

* Curse allows Snorlax to patch up its lackluster Defense stat and make it bulky on the physical side, allowing it to tank +1 Secret Sword from Keldeo after a single Curse boost. Curse also increases its Attack stat which makes it harder to wall for offensive teams such as Fairy-type teams.
* Facade allows Snorlax to take advantage of Status moves such as Burn and Paralysis as Facade doubles in power, allowing it to do good damage to Defensive Pokemon such as Rotom-W which hopes to cripple Snorlax with a status move such as Will-O-Wisp. Facade also allows Snorlax to take advantage of Scald burns from Pokemon such as Swampert.
* Fire Punch lets Snorlax deal good damage to Steel-types such as Mega Scizor, Celesteela and Skarmory and not make Snorlax completely walled by Steel-types.
* Recycle allows Snorlax to reuse its pinch berry such as Iapapa Berry and acts as a form of recovery, allowing Snorlax to not get worn out in the battle.

Set Details
========

* 160 HP investment along with Maximum Defense investment allow Snorlax to take on powerful attackers such as Keldeo much better after a single Curse boost.
* The rest of the EVs are dumped into its Special Defense stat to allow it to take on powerful Special Attackers such as Mega Diancie and Tapu Koko.
* Gluttony as an ability allows Snorlax to consume its pinch Berries at 50% or less which is important to keep it healthy without losing momentum in the battle.
* Iapapa Berry is used as an item as Recycle combined with its ability Gluttony lets Snorlax effectively recover its health throughout the battle.

Usage Tips
========

* It is best to utilize Snorlax late game in the battle when its Checks such as strong wallbreakers like Calm Mind Keldeo and Mega Gallade are taken out by its teammates.
* Snorlax should be wary of Toxic users such as Zapdos and Toxapex as it cripples Snorlax due to its inability to cure status condition without using Rest, so it is important to scout the sets before attempting to set up Curse. Mention specifically on how you should swap to Chansey to scout the status move; it has little repercussions as Chansey restores its status when switching out, while also preventing a bad status condition on Snorlax.
* However Snorlax can get itself a Burn by switching into move such as Scald so that Snorlax won't be crippled by Toxic and also power up its Facade which will allow it to deal good amount of damage to opposing team. Snorlax can do so against Water- and Poison-type teams.
* Knock Off users such as Bisharp, Muk-Alola and Azumarill should be avoided at all costs as once Iapapa Berry is knocked off, Snorlax will be unable to use Recycle the Berry and hence will be out of recovery option, making it much easier for opposing teams to wear it down and beat it.
You might be able to mention how you can play around Knock Off users if a) the foe is faster, and b) you used your berry, as if the berry was consumed, Knock Off would not affect the berry at that time.
* Snorlax should find opportunities to set up Curse against Special attackers that it can handle such as Nidoking and Hydreigon as such Special attackers they do not deal enough damage to break Snorlax and it can set up Curse effectively against them to handle Physical attackers better.

Team Options
========

* Mega Pidgeot is a great teammate for Snorlax as it can not only break down and pressure Steel-types like Celesteela, Ferrothorn
and Scizor but it can also beat Fighting-type Pokemon such as Mega Gallade, Breloom and Keldeo which pose a threat to Snorlax. Mega Pidgeot also provides with U-Turn support to Snorlax and can help bring it safely in the battle to set up.
* Due to the ability Intimidate, defensive Staraptor can take on strong Physical attackers for Snorlax such as Mega Gallade and provide pivoting with U-Turn. It checks Fighting-type Pokemon thanks to STAB Brave Bird and provides Snorlax with Defog support so that it is not plagued by entry hazards in general and Toxic Spikes in particular.
* Chansey can provide Stealth Rock support to Snorlax which will allow to weaken Pokemon that can check Snorlax such as Choice Band Dragonite. Additionally, thanks to the ability Natural Cure, Chansey can sponge crippling status move such as Toxic for Snorlax and keep it safe from getting crippled. Chansey also checks powerful special wallbreakers which Snorlax cannot handle such as Landorus.
* Diggersby is a good teammate for Snorlax as both of them share similar checks and Diggersby can weaken the defensive core by utilizing a Swords Dance or Choice Band set. Weakening or elimination of defensive core will allow Snorlax an easier time in setting up as then it need not fear getting crippled by Toxic, getting its stat boosts nullified by Haze, or getting phazed out by moves such as Roar and Whirlwind.
* Similarly, Mega Lopunny can break down shared checks with Snorlax, act as a Knock Off sponge for Snorlax and beat Knock Off users such as Mega Sableye for the team. It also breaks down Steel-type teams due to STAB High Jump Kick. By using a Power-Up Punch and Encore set, Mega Lopunny can beat defensive Pokemon such as Toxapex that can check Snorlax.
* Due to a diverse movepool, Porygon2 can provide utility support to Snorlax by weakening down walls such as Swampert with Toxic, beating Stallbreakers like Gliscor with Ice Beam and pressuring Pokemon such as Mantine and Celesteela with Discharge. It can also punish set up sweepers such as Mega Scizor by using Foul Play.

*Add PorygonZ.

* Earthquake is also an option to use over Fire Punch on the set however using Earthquake makes Snorlax suspectible to Pokemon such as Mega Scizor which can beat Snorlax lacking Fire Punch. Mention how you are completely walled by bulky Flying-types such as Skarmory and Celesteela as a result of running EQ over Fire Punch.
* Snorlax can utilize a Rest and SleepTalk set to set up Curse boosts without getting crippled by moves such as Toxic and Knock Off however using a RestTalk set makes Snorlax forgo coverage to hit Steel-type Pokemon and makes Snorlax passive as it makes Snorlax more prone to being set up on compared to a Curse and Recycle set.

Checks and Counters

**Strong Wallbreakers**: Strong Wallbreakers like Choice Band Dragonite, Kommo-o and Mega Gallade can break Snorlax relatively easily if it does not has sufficient Curse boosts to tank powerful hits. Z move users such as Gyarados can also break Snorlax by using a powerful move against it after setting up.

**Knock Off Users**: Prominent Knock Off users such as Muk-Alola Alolan Muk, Azumarill and Mega Sableye can Knock Off the pinch Berry of Snorlax and make it unable to recycle the Berry and thus stopping it from using a recovery move which makes it much easier to beat Snorlax.

**Toxic**: Toxic poison Being poisoned through Toxic greatly hinders Snorlax as it is not able to cure status conditions without using Rest. Toxic puts Snorlax on a timer and renders it unable to act as a win condition for the team.

**Taunt Users: Stallbreakers such as Gliscor, Mew and Heatran can Taunt Snorlax and stop it from accumulating Curse boosts or using a recovery move. Gliscor and Mew can also Knock Off the pinch Berry while Heatran can weaken it by using Magma Storm. You mentioned Knock Off earlier, so idt it should be re-affirmed here.

**Haze Users**: Common Haze users such as Toxapex and Mantine can very easily nullify all the Curse boosts accumulated by Snorlax and beat it by wasting PP of its moves.

**Phazers** Phazers such as Skamory, Hippowdon and Swampert can force out Snorlax by using phazing moves such as Whirlwind and Roar and make it get rid of Curse boosts. Phazers can also make Snorlax take more residual damage if entry hazards are up.
^You can compound both of these statements into "Phazing and Haze users"; they do similar things by resetting Snorlax's stats, just in their own manner.

I'd also mention Ghost-types, as they are immune to Facade, leaving you with Fire Punch as an attack (which can be easily walled through things like Mega Sableye and Cofagrigus).

I'm not sure about keeping this, but keep it for now. You need to include an item for this set too, unless you're implying to still use the berry.

Z move users such as Gyarados can also break Snorlax by using a powerful move against it after setting up. I think you need to use different examples than Kommo-o and Mega Gallade. They beat it due to SE STAB not for being wallbreakers

**Fighting-types**:

**Knock Off Users**: Prominent Knock Off users such as Alolan-Muk, Azumarill and Mega Sableye can Knock Off the pinch Berry of Snorlax's item and make it unable to use Recycle the Berry and thus stopping it from having a means of recoveryusing a recovery move which makes it much easier to beat Snorlax.

Usage Tips
* However Snorlax can get itself a Burn by switching into move such as Scald so that Snorlax won't be crippled by Toxic and also power up its Facade which will allow it to deal good amount of damage to opposing team.
- talk about it being able to be a burn/paralysis absorber for the team, since it can take advantage of them with Facade

* Knock Off users such as Bisharp, Alolan-Muk, and Azumarill should be avoided at all costs as once Iapapa Berry is knocked off, Snorlax will be unable to use Recycle the Berry and hence will be out of recovery option.

- also talk about taunt

* add a line about when to use recycle

Team Options
* Diggersby is a good teammate for Snorlax as Diggersby can weaken the defensive core by utilizing a Swords Dance or Choice Band set.
- would like you to talk about the swords dance + zmove set and why thats a good partner for snorlax being able to beat defensive pokemon like mantine/pex/mvenu etc

Checks & Counters
Strong Wallbreakers**: Strong Wallbreakers like Choice Band Dragonite, Swords Dance Diggersby, and Zeraora can break Snorlax relatively easily if it does not has sufficient Curse boosts to tank powerful hits. **Taunt**: Stallbreakers such as Gliscor, Mew and Heatran can Taunt Snorlax and stop it from accumulating Curse boosts or using Recycle a recovery move.

Overview:
- I'd like to see a bit more positivity here?
- Recycle

Set:
- Facade should definitely be higher than Fire Punch.
- idk what your spread does. If you don't have a good reason, use this:
evs: 228 HP / 252 Def / 24 SpD

252 Atk Gallade-Mega Close Combat vs. +1 228 HP / 252 Def Snorlax: 324-384 (62.5 - 74.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Koko Thunderbolt vs. 228 HP / 24+ SpD Snorlax in Electric Terrain: 219-258 (42.2 - 49.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
