so i got bored

so the new 5th gen starters are pretty cute :3
but i'm pretty sure they have another side to them.
something more macho that they keep secret.

i managed to capture this photograph in secret. i will share it with you, for the world must not be deceived by the adorable mask these pokemon wear.

seeing that the details were somewhat coarse, i took the liberty of redrawing the creature so that the picture may become more complete

now, the lines are a little rough, for i don't have a tablet to work with, only a mouse. still, i feel that all of these drawings are an accurate representation of the scene i was lucky enough to capture. i may add shading to give a greater sense of depth, but as of now i do not feel it is necessary. (i'm lazy)

any critiques of my images are greatly appreciated. i am also itching to recreate more scenes of such pokemon, so if anyone has a request, i will gladly oblige.

To be honest, I think that the first sketch was better. I like using a pencil more than I do a mouse... And i would have shaded this, but I'm not in the mood right now.
Oh, and I also need a better way to draw a five-o-clock shadow. I really don't like that. :/

Thank you very much for your opinion!

(oh, and this is my first attempt at art on photoshop. i've used the program before, but only for image retouching, never for creating something from scratch.)

Ha ha, it's cute and quite funny. I like your interpretation of the starter. May I have your permission to use the pencil sketch to lineart and color? I will only be posting the finished product in this thread (if I even finish it).

Of course you may, you could probably do a better job than I could anyways. :toast:

EDIT: Got around to shading it. Also added the smoke and made the stubble much better. (still not great though.) I didn't like the shell so I got rid of it.
