My basic question is this...

Why do you think that sexuality has become so distorted in modern society?

This goes much deeper than the feminization of man, for we are also looking at the masculinization of woman. More specifically,

Why is the line between masculinity and femininity becoming progressively blurrier?

What purpose does it serve to have a society built up of girly guys and manly chicks.

Also, it just seems ridiculous to have a culture that worships a natural function of two bodies, which leads to my next question…

Why has sex become so glamorized?

What is there to be gained from this? Is it a fluke? A conspiracy? If so then who is behind it and what is the motive?

Why does our culture seem to foster and encourage a weak male (Nice Guy) mentality?

Aside from the whole metrosexual phenomenon, why are there so many chumps out there? How come most of my pals treat me like a god just because I talk to girls I dont know? What the hell is going on here???!!!

I have my theories but I will keep my mouth shut till I get some feedback…

i know what you mean. sometimes, i can't even figure out whether i'm currently in bed with a male or a female. the line is too blurry
 
These are all things that will come and go with the times, like fads or what have you. We just all tend to group-think when it comes to sex and similar things. And why is sex so glamorous? Simple answer: Because it's fun
 
Sex is the main reason we have a society at all, just saying.


To answer you last question: because your friends are girly men who don't get laid.

Because gender roles are essentially societal entrappings and people have become aware of this and progressive individuals have chosen to be free of them as much as possible. Sexuality is not distorted, men know theyre male, women know they are female. Gender in the past would have determined how far and what function an individual could have/go in society, if you were a man who felt like a women you would repress it or else be cast out or discriminated against and vice versa. Sexuality itself has not been changed persay, it has merely become acceptable not to repress abnormal sexual behavior, and in kind it has become acceptable for the media to portray such behavior in a way that isnt derogatory. In other news, its very interesting that some people find greater freedom of self-expression a bad thing.

Because in our society now, both genders are capable of functioning relatively equally in any role. In the past, men and women had different roles for a variety of reasons (for example men may have had to fight wars, or the only education available would be exclusively for men), and today the condition of our society makes this distinction relatively obsolete. This is not to say gender discrimination does not exist in hiring, however most jobs can be filled by either. Society's structure no longer recognizes any difference between genders for the purposes of it functioning economically, and now we are seeing the effects of this in our social areas.

This not the right question. the question is what are the empirical negative affects of this. There are none.

i dont see this. I think that in our culture there is a mentality that nice guys lose, and aggression is still very much a characteristic that is heavily associated with masculinity. women love assholes, to use a cliche, and I dont mean 'bad boys' or w.e.

EDIT: Note to other mods: I notice that basically every post in Vine Whip's history is part of a chain of shitty posts in shitty topics he started. Probably time to start busting out the warnings.
