Some RBY thoughts....

*i dont know if this kind of thread is allowed here, but i suppose its not about competitive so....

After playing several rounds of RBY, i kinda think that Psychic were pretty overatted in RBY, i mean yes it is good but Normal is every bit as broken as Psychic types, if not more.

Body Slam and Hyper Beam is flat out absurd in RBY and it even has the 100 % crit Slash(okay, only Persian can use it effectively but i disgress) and IIRC most of the big name on RBY are Hyper Beam finisher and Normal Types such as Chansey, Tauros, and Snorlax

So.... any thoughts ?(sorry im not good at writing Openning Post....)

This seems to be about competitive play so I moved it to Ruins of Alph.

I think you're only finding Psychics overrated simply because you are encountering a lot of them, and they cancel each other out. Normal types do nothing to hurt each other's effectiveness. Tauros threatens any weakened team, but try threatening anything with an Alakazam when there's still any Starmie/Exeggutor/Slowbro/Alakazam/Chansey left alive with a reasonable amount of health.

Normals might do more damage overall in any competitive game, but it's Psychics that truly restrict what can be viable in a competitive game.
