[SET COMMENTS]

This set, unlike Flygon's other sets is specially oriented, rather than physically. This set also plays slightly different to flygon's other sets, having a bit more of an element of suprise, due to most of his checks being more physically durable. Draco Meteor acts as a solid stab for Flygon, and should be his main attacking move. Earth Power provides good coverage along side draco metior, hitting a predicted steel type switch-in, as well as a a solid secondary stab. U-turn lets you scout for comon checks to Flygon such as Weavile, as well as giving you switch initiative. This should be used until the time is right to reveal the special set. As for the move in the final slot, you have 2 choices. Fire Blast is recomended due to it's higher power, but Flamethrower is an alternative for those who like the accuracy, however, the power drop is significant.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The given EV spread is to maximise Flygon's speed and power output. The EVs in Special Defense stop Download users such as Porygon-Z from getting the prefered Special Attack boost. A Timid nature is recomended with a Choice Scarf to maximise Flygon's speed and outpace certain threats such as Choice Scarf Darmanitan, Choice Scarf Krookodile, +1 Quiver Dance Venomoth and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, or use a modest nature with Choice Specs to maximise the damage output. However, while the speed increase from the Choice Scarf is a good asset for Flygon and generally the most used, there is a notable power drop. If your team doesn't have much to do to, or is relatively weak to them, you can use Hidden Power Rock in the fourth slot, however, it doesn't have much use outside of that.

As with any of Flygon's sets, entry hazards are key in helping it sweep, revenge kill, or clean up. This makes pokemon that can set up entry hazards such as Roserade, Bronzong and Nidoqueen amazing teammates Flygon, Roserade in particular has merit for it's ability to deal with bulky water types like Milotic with a super effective giga drain. On the topic of bulky water types, they too make good partners for Flygn due to their ability to deal shrug off ice-type moves from the likes of attackers such as Weavile then retaliate by threatening the scald burn or heal up in safety. Physical attackers such as Darmanitan, Arcanine, Bisharp and the bane of Flygon: Weavile also make good partners due to their ability to hit specially defensive pokemon for heavy damage. Steel-types make excelent partners due to their ability to shrug off both move types that hit Flygon for super effective damage and then either use a status move to cripple something, set up entry hazards, provided they haven't been set up, or support the team with reflect or light screen or something.
