* Specially defensive Eternatus functions as a good check to Kyogre and Calm Mind or Taunt Arceus formes thanks to Toxic, its high Speed and bulk, and reliable recovery.
* Dynamax Cannon always does enough damage to break Kyogre's Substitute, allowing Eternatus to Toxic it on the next turn.
* Flamethrower gives good neutral coverage with Dynamax Cannon, hits Zacian-C and Corviknight, and can fish for burns. Dragon Tail is an option to force out Arceus formes that Tera Poison or Steel to avoid Toxic, and it can annoy Clodsire. Toxic Spikes can be useful to pressure the opposing team, especially with smart double switches. In either case, the loss of Flamethrower leaves Eternatus more passive generally.
* Sludge Bomb is much less reliable at setting poison than Toxic is; however, it allows Eternatus to have a chance against Calm Mind Tera Fairy Kyogre sets, which may otherwise use Substitute to block Toxic.
* The given EV spread allows Eternatus to outspeed base 120 Speed Pokemon like Arceus and Palkia-O, with the rest of the EVs dumped into bulk.
* Heavy-Duty Boots is optimal on teams lacking entry hazard removal, while Leftovers works better when Eternatus is paired with Giratina-O or Corviknight.
* Tera Fairy is used, as its Dragon-type immunity is useful against Koraidon and Miraidon, and it provides a neutrality to Ice. Tera Water provides Eternatus with a resistance to Ice, making it much more reliable against Kyogre sets lacking Thunder, and a resistance to Zacian-C's Behemoth Blade.
* Eternatus is very difficult to switch into generally, since it has strong neutral coverage and can poison most switch-ins. Its most reliable checks are Clodsire, Blissey, and Arceus-Poison, all of which don't care about being poisoned and can use Eternatus as a free setup opportunity. Exerting enough offensive pressure helps deal with these threats.
* Eternatus works well as a 3rd or 4th pokemon on defensive cores, since it absorbs Toxic Spikes and takes on the aforementioned Arceus formes and Kyogre. Ting-Lu makes for a fantastic partner as a result.
* On teams lacking entry hazard removal, Skeledirge is a great partner, since both Pokemon can use Heavy-Duty Boots and have reliable recovery.
* Switch-ins to Ground-types are much appreciated such as Corviknight, Giratina-O, and Landorus-T. Arceus-Ground makes for a good partner to pressure opposing Ground-types offensively.
* While it can't switch in on Toxic, Mewtwo is a great annoyance, as it tends to be faster than Eternatus and can hit it with a super effective Psystrike. As such, pivots into Psystrike such as Corviknight or Ting-Lu are ideal teammates.

I'd mention that CM Arceus-Ground is a great partner, as it can pressure the Ground-types that threaten Eternatus, and Eternatus can wear down Groundceus' checks with Toxic while also being able to pivot into Kyogre.

Tera Water provides Eternatus with a resistance to Ice-type attacks, making it much more reliable against Kyogre sets lacking Thunder. Fairy is a decent option as its Dragon-type immunity is useful against Koraidon and Miraidon.

Also would mention that you now resist Zacian's Behemoth Blade.

Finally, I'd say that you have to be careful against Mewtwo, as it usually runs max speed Timid and comes in free on most of Eternatus' attacks. So counterplay such as Corviknight to pivot into Psystrike or Ting-Lu are generally preferred.

merge the sentences that talk about slashes of the same move so it's less clutter. Flamethrower can mention your pet bird since it's Dynamax Cannon resist.
* In either case, it's important to take note that the loss of Dynamax Cannon or Flamethrower leaves Eternatus more passive generally.
I can't say I'd ever run no DMax Cannon; at that point you're allowing bulky Arceus to reset Toxic turns with ease.

I'd also do Fairy as first Tera Slash; Fairy has the obvious "I am now immune to Dragon" and Water makes you STINKY against Miraidon and susceptible to Low Kick from Koraidon.

Skeledirge is a great partner since both pokemon can wear Heavy-Duty Boots
:worrycargo:

switch-ins to Ground-types are much appreciated, such as Corviknight, Giratina-O, and Landorus-T.
I'm gonna be a hater and force you to put Gira first; it's more viable.

* Eternatus is very difficult to switch-into generally since it has strong neutral coverage and can poison most switch-ins. Its most reliable checks are Clodsire, Blissey, and Arceus-Poison, all of which don't care about being poisoned and can use Eternatus as a free set-up opportunity. Be sure to have enough offensive pressure to deal with these threats.
since this is a more general tip, I'd move it ahead of all other "check and counters" kind of sentences you included.
