Moves
========

Kommo-o is an effective Stealth Rock setter, as its defensive niche allows it to force some switches and it can pressure a lot of entry hazard removers such as Tornadus-T and Excadrill with Toxic or Drain Punch. Toxic alongside Protect is fantastic for racking up chip damage on the likes of Landorus-T, Mega Alakazam, and Tornadus-T that would otherwise get a free switch in on Kommo-o. Protect is multifaceted; aside from the above application, it also gives Kommo-o an extra turn of Leftovers recovery and allows it to block Z-Moves and scout Choice-locked Pokemon. Drain Punch provides Kommo-o with some extra recovery and pressures Pokemon like Ash-Greninja and Heatran.

Set Details
========

140 Speed EVs are ran in order to outspeed the likes of Timid Magnezone and Adamant Tyranitar. Bulletproof is Kommo-o's most useful ability, immunizing it against a number of moves, with the most notable examples being Gyro Ball from Ferrothorn, Sludge Bomb from Tangrowth, Mega Venusaur, and Amoonguss, and Shadow Ball from Blacephalon.

Usage Tips
========

Use this Kommo-o set to switch into Pokemon like Ash-Greninja, Heatran, Rotom-W, and Magnezone, and use the free turn to set up Stealth Rock. Due to Kommo-o's lack of reliable recovery, it can be worn down throughout the game. Try to avoid scenarios that will exacerbate this issue, such as Kommo-o's Leftovers being removed by Knock Off and switching it into entry hazards, especially Spikes and Toxic Spikes, repeatedly. If the opponent has a Pokemon that totally shuts down Kommo-o, such as Gliscor or Tapu Fini, try not to let them in freely; you can double switch into a Pokemon that can take advantage of them. However, this isn't always needed—by getting up Stealth Rock, Tapu Fini and Defog Gliscor will often be forced to remove them, giving you a free switch into a Pokemon that can take advantage of them.

Team Options
========

Specially defensive Kommo-o fits best on bulky offense, as compressing a Stealth Rock setter, a Heatran check, and an Ash-Greninja check in into one teamslot is very beneficial for the archetype. Steel-types like Magearna, Celesteela, and Mega Scizor are good teammates, as they can check Psychic-types like Mega Alakazam, Mega Latias, and Tapu Lele and Fairy-types like Magearna and Clefable for Kommo-o. In return, Kommo-o can consistently switch into Heatran, arguably the biggest threat to Steel-types in the tier. Tyranitar also works well as an answer to both Flying-types like Tornadus-T and the aforementioned Psychic-types. Additionally, it has the extra benefit of being able to Pursuit trap and potentially remove these Pokemon. Rotom-W and Tangrowth are great teammates for Kommo-o, as they can take advantage of counters to it, particularly Gliscor and Tapu Fini.

def would be nice if you mention why it's a decent rocker too since that's a decent part of its niche

Set Details

  • 192 Speed EVs are ran in order to outspeed Modest Heatran, and all remaining EVs are pooled into HP and Special Defense along with a Careful nature to give Kommo-o the best chance of checking the likes of Ash-Greninja and Heatran throughout the game.
  • Bulletproof's immunises Kommo-o against a number of moves, the most notable examples being Ferrothorn's Gyro Ball, Sludge Bomb from Tangrowth, Mega Venusaur, and Amoonguss, and Shadow Ball from Blacephalon.

Usage Tips
========

  • Use this Kommo-o set to switch into Pokemon like Ash-Greninja, Heatran, Rotom-W, and Magnezone, and use the free turn to set up Stealth Rock.
  • Avoid Knock Off as Kommo-o heavily relies on its Leftovers to allow it to check the above threats throughout the game.
  • Spikes and especially Toxic Spikes should be removed from your side of the field before switching Kommo-o in, as they will significantly diminish Kommo-o's ability to check the Pokemon it should.
This section feels really short, probably worth adding stuff about how it's chipped v quickly or how to play around stuff like gliscor / fini which just comes in for free otherwise.

Team Options

  • Spikes setters like Ash-Greninja and Ferrothorn can help to pressure the opposition alongside Kommo-o by stacking hazards together.
I'd like to see some mentions of stuff like Tangrowth and Rotom-W here since those are def some of the better partners for Kommo-o

I don't think you have to outspeed Modest Heatran. 136 Speed EVs are enough to outspeed everything important.

Landorus-T isn't a reliable remover like Tornadus-T and Excadrill are, so I'm not sure if it's the best example here. You could just leave it at Tornadus-T and Excadrill.
  • Toxic alongside Protect is fantastic for racking up chip damage on the likes of Landorus-T, Mega Alakazam, and Tornadus-T that would otherwise get a free switch-in on Kommo-o.

  • Use this Kommo-o set to switch into Pokemon like Ash-Greninja, Heatran, Rotom-W, and Magnezone, and use the free turn to set up Stealth Rock.
  • Due to Kommo-o's lack of reliable recovery, it can be easily chipped down throughout the game. Maybe this is worded a bit too strongly; it's pretty hard to wear Kommo-o down if the user plays patiently and safely. Try to avoid things that will exacerbate this issue, such as Kommo-o's Leftovers being removed by Knock Off and switching Kommo-o into entry hazards, especially Spikes and Toxic Spikes repeatedly.

  • Tyranitar also works well as an answer to both Flying-types like Tornadus-T and aforementioned Psychic-types. Specify that only Assault Vest Tyranitar's a good check to Psychic-types. It also has the added bonus of being able to pursuit trap and potentially remove these Pokemon too.

  • Spikes setters like Ash-Greninja and Ferrothorn can help to pressure the opposition alongside Kommo-o by stacking hazards together. This is just filler content; Kommo-o doesn't necessarily need Spikes support and any Stealth Rock setter can form a hazard stacking core with them, so I don't think it's worth pointing out.

Good stuff, 2/3.

bigtalk

Banned deucer.
Mellow I think you're missing a speed point on the EV spread-- it should be 252 HP / 116 Def / 140 Spe in order to outspeed Magnezone.

You can use "you" or "Kommo-o" here.) can double switch by doubling out (phrasing) into a Pokemon that can take advantage of them sometimes. However, this isn't always needed—by getting up Stealth Rock, Tapu Fini and Defog Gliscor will often be forced to remove them, giving you a free switch into a Pokemon that can take advantage of them.
