SpecsCelebi and ScarfSlaking? Close finish in this Warstory

On a 10 game winning streak, I was settling into the addition of Machamp onto my team over Mismagius, who I later brought back for Machamp (LOL). FlyingSideKick put up a great fight, and the surprise factor weighed in heavily for both of us.

My Team(Always in BLUE)

FlyingSideKick (Always in RED)

LEFTOVERS-mentioned once, then edited out
TOXIC-just so you know its badly poisoned xD
BURNED-I chose a nice orange color...halves attack

hitit4three wins!
hitit4three: gg
FlyingSideKick: gg
FlyingSideKick has left the room.

Props
-Great switching by both teams to utilize defenses, resistances, and immunities
-Heatran for taking out Slaking
-CELEBI for killing 4 of my opponents pokemon and getting a KO at -6SAtk
-FlyingSideKick for use of Scarfed Slaking and great job keeping a Toxiced Gliscor alive
-Skarmory for surviving 3 attempts by Magnezone before succumbing to a TBolt

Slops
-Raikou did nothing, but I know he would have set up and swept if Slaking hadn't been scarfed...
-Milotic seemed to be pretty useless for SideKick
-Very little (or no) chat box use...it was intense
-Magnezone's various failed attempts at Skarm killing
-Choice Band Jirachi never got in on the action...oh well :)

Good story, colors and updates help make it easier to follow.
Nice battle too, but I think he was a bit too reluctant on switching in Magnezone.
ANd yeah CBjirachi shoulda been in there, woulda been interesting.

ANd yeah CBjirachi shoulda been in there, woulda been interesting.

I concur, now, if only everyone did that with the font...

On a personal note, this battle was well thought out on both sides, and that is what made it a good battle, (because both players put up a good fight). Good job.

one thing: that turn when you killed azelf with heatran, it was still under taunt, so it wouldn't have been able to use substitute, so that's a moot point.

besides that, why leftovers on heatran? i'd go for wide lens with the set you're running and replace flamethrower fire blast for more power when you need it.

The Sub on Magnezone wasn't overprediction. He was preparing for whatever it would have to face after killing Skarm. </nitpick>

I want to use SpecsCelebi now. It sounds awesome.

Fire Blast or Overheat would have been a better choice over Flamethrower on Heatran, unless you plan to go for reliability>power. Nice battle, especially the first-turn-KO and the switch ins and outs. =D

Therer were too many un-neccesary switch-ins. You could have switched out Skarm and not have los him at all. Same thing with your opponent and Milotic.

He played Magnazone pretty badly, on its first visit to the field... Should've entered earlier too.

Pretty ok battle.

Props for SpecsCelebi and CBJirachi, even though it wasn't used.

About the part where you were bashing yourself for not using Substitute on the turn Uxie would die...You were still taunted, so you couldn't have Substituted anyway.

The battle was okay, but I don't think you're opponent played very well. He made the same moves over and over again (taunted heatran 3 times I think, same situation each time, skarmory switched to heatran on the taunt) and the same when you were switching from heatran to celebi, after the first time or two, I think he should have suspected it.

About the subbing when magnezone switched into skarm, doesn't skarm almost always have a either whirlwind or roar? I think he might have expected a shed shell and subbed to scout the next poke, not to prepare for whatever came in after skarm.

Thanks for your feedback guys.

@Shiney-That is what I mean by overprediction...the sub meant he was assuming I had a Shed Shell, which was an OK assumption because Skarm hadn't been hurt yet, and he hadn't seen lefties, but I would have used TBolt.

@Everyone who told me about Heatran/Uxie-Thanks, I fele a bit better about that now that I know I couldn't have subbed. I wa slokking at the log and I could not figure out why I didn't Sub. Now i know lol.

@GengarCrysis-How the hell could I switch a leftovers Skarmory out of Magnezone?!?!?! Also, keeping Milotic in was how the surprise factor worked fo rme. Celebi generally doesn't run with Specs or Leaf Storm.

@All the people talking abotu Heatran and his moveset-I made him to be a bulky tran. with his base 106 defenses, I can use him as a pretty decent wall with Sub/Cafeful for special defenses and Sub/W-o-W for physical. I love to cover Skarm with him against another Hetran b/c they usually are scarfed. Leftovers are for recovery after subbing and subsequent killings.

@ Pneuma-about the OHKO...it slooks awesome, but at the time it really wasn't. :)

Thank you all for compliments on the format, it took forever ot get organized and finished, but my idea came from another warstory (I think Aldaron) who colored each poke's name. I just went farther and also colored status, and I added a summary of what was on the field at the end of each turn.

YAY Celebi. And i've never seen SR do so much damage to a team before. That guy practially slaughtered his Ambipom :P

are warstories ever approved anymore :\

seems to be too many running around and not very good ones

your opp was just bad and you were a notch better...its written pretty good but boring battle

Umm...what does everybody mean when they say approved?

Having read through all the rules in this forum, I have not seen a single one that mentions getting a warstory approved. Maybe I missed it completely but...maybe it isn't a rule?

If it is a rule, somebody link me to it please...

It's more of a trend to just post any random war story regardless of who the opponent is nowadays I guess since the dumbass end up letting half of his pokes get repeated SR damage when he could have just killed the Skarm in the first place.

If Skamory rolled over and died to every single Poke on your team with any form of offense, nobody would use it. It's certainly sturdy enough, especially with that great typing, for a turn of set-up. And what does the opponent matter, as long as the game was good?

The point was he played badly and let skarm lived for how many turns and the opponent does matter because he was pretty bad and the match was rather boring itself.
