Booster Energy Great Tusk outspeeds the entire unboosted metagame, enabling it to act as a check to a plethora of threats such as Baxcalibur, Kingambit, Sneasler, and unboosted Iron Valiant and Iron Moth. Bulk Up allows Great Tusk to potentially function as a wincon by setting up on common physical threats it forces out such as Kingambit and Sneasler. Furthermore, the Speed boost from Booster Energy enables Great Tusk to set up immediately against the aforementioned threats. Bulk Up also ensures non-Tera Blast Fairy Kingambit will be unable to break through Great Tusk. Headlong Rush's higher damage allows Great Tusk to pressure foes like Galarian Slowking and Amoonguss better, but Earthquake can be used if the stat drops are undesirable. Ice Spinner rounds out Great Tusk's coverage, allowing it to deal heavy damage to Landorus-T, Enamorus, and Dragonite while also chipping Zapdos. Head Smash can also be considered, since it allows Great Tusk to lure in and eliminate Moltres as well as OHKO Enamorus and defensive Zapdos at +1 at the cost of reduced longevity due to recoil. Tera Ice powers up Ice Spinner to secure a clean 2HKO on defensive Zapdos. Additionally, Tera Ice removes its Fairy-type weakness and lets it live a Moonblast from non-Choice Specs Iron Valiant and Enamorus in a pinch while also providing a better matchup against Baxcalibur. If running Head Smash over Ice Spinner, Tera Water can be used instead for a generally good defensive typing; it flips Great Tusk's Water weakness into resistance in addition to the aforementioned Tera Ice's defensive utility. This set fits most easily on offensive and hyper offense teams, which appreciate the tremendous role compression Great Tusk offers. Since this Great Tusk set lacks Rapid Spin, Cinderace is an excellent partner, being able to provide hazard control with Court Change. Great Tusk appreciates strong offensive wincons such as Booster Energy Iron Valiant and Iron Moth, Baxcalibur, and Dragonite that can potentially work with Great Tusk to break down opposing teams. On hyper offense teams, hazard setters such as Hisuian Samurott, Glimmora, and Sandy Shocks are appreciated to assist Great Tusk and its teammates.

Booster Energy and maximum Speed investment with a Jolly nature lets Great Tusk outspeed the entire unboosted SV OU metagame. (i wouldn't start this paragraph with the evs bc it no longer follows the set order - instead something like "Booster Energy Great Tusk outspeeds the entire unboosted metagame, enabling it to act as a check to...") This enables it to act an excellent one time check to a plethora of threats such as Baxcalibur, Kingambit, Sneasler, and unboosted Iron Valiant and Iron Moth. (another big selling point of this set is being able to switch in on smth and already be +1 speed and bulk up (meaning theres no need to take 1 turn bulking up and 1 turn using spin to get there) - it's a powerful offensive tool and more than just "an emergency check bc its fast") Bulk Up allows Great Tusk to potentially function as a win condition, setting up on common physical threats it forces out such as Kingambit and Sneasler. Furthermore, Bulk Up ensures non Tera Fairy Kingambit (do you mean tera blast fairy? tera fairy tusk with normal moves still loses bc even with the defensive typing it cant break through boosted tusk _ dies to earthquake) will be unable to break through Great Tusk. Ice Spinner rounds out Great Tusk's coverage allowing it to deal heavy damage to Landorus-Therian and Dragonite while also allowing it to chip Zapdos. (enamorus is worth mentioning too) Head Smash can also be considered since it allows Great Tusk to lure and eliminate Moltres. (mention that this cuts into its longevity a lot since recoil + no leftiesso its a lot less reliable of a wincon) Tera Ice helps power up Ice Spinner and secures a clean 2HKO on Defensive Zapdos with Ice Spinner. (you can mention evs here if you want, up to you. they're fairly self explanatory but talking about how you have to drop attack for bopster to proc speed is good + how the extra hp can help it set up on things) This set fits most easily into offensive teams which appreciate the tremendous role compression Great Tusk offers. Since this Great Tusk set lacks Rapid Spin, Cinderace is an excellent partner being able to control hazards with Court Change. Galarian Slowking also has great synergy with Great Tusk forming a efficient defensive core which is highly appreciated by offensive teams. (offensive teams aren't the kind of teams that benefit from defensive cores - offense doesn't really need to pivot around as much bc it seeks to win quickly. having this tusk set with glowking also means you end up wasting your booster early bc you have to pivot a ton, which isn't the purpose of the set)
this set fits best on hyper offense structures more than anything because any other team can't really take advantage of the one-time nature of the set. as such, you wanna mention other offensive partners so this paragraph distinguishes why you'd use boster (therefore dropping attack evs) over lefties + spin bu. you're not gonna be using thison teams where you need tusk to come in multiple times or youre just wasting an item slot

Tera Ice helps power up Ice Spinner and secures a clean 2HKO on Defensive Zapdos. I would also mention the defensive benefit of ice typing, its not great but living a Moonblast from val or non specs enam is occasionally useful. Also a better matchup against bax This set fits most easily into offensive and hyper offense teams which appreciate the tremendous role compression Great Tusk offers. Since this Great Tusk set lacks Rapid Spin, Cinderace is an excellent partner on non-hyper offense teams being able to control hazards with Court Change. Booster Great Tusk appreciates strong offensive winconditions such as Booster Iron Valiant, Iron Moth, Baxcalibur, and Dragonite that can potentially stack with Great Tusk to break down opposing teams. (you can reword that final sentence if you want but I want it to be clear that you wouldn't play Court Change Cinderace on a hyper offense team with a hazard setting lead)
