Speedy Gonzalez, its my first time

Hello friends, I'm Manbaby! The first 10 teams i made were all stall or balanced teams and none of them had any consistent successfulness so after getting tired of constant failure i decided to create a fast offensive team and it has been working very well, winning me most of my games and i thought it would be worthy for my first post and first rmt.

aerodactyl.png

Aerodactyl (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4HP/252ATK/252SPEED
Jolly nature (+SPEED, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

This is definitely my favorite lead because with his 130 base speed and a focus sash I rarely have trouble atleast setting up SR and in the best case scenario i have been able to kill 2 pokemon with him before he is taken out.

Lead Comparison (stolen from IllMinded)
  • dpiconani376.gif
Metagross: Usually rocks first turn then switch to starmie because he takes little damage from bullet punch.
  • dpiconani482.gif
Azelf: Taunt first turn, rocks and if im still alive rock slide till im dead usually.
  • dpiconani385.gif
Jirachi: same with metagross but these can give more trouble if they are scarfed and make me flinch they foiled my attempt to get SR up.
  • dpiconani260.gif
Swampert: SR first turn then switch to Starmie and grass knot it.
  • dpiconani142.gif
Aerodactyl: Most of the time i will Taunt first turn then SR or rock slide second turn depending on who won the speed tie.
  • dpiconani392.gif
Infernape: Eat the fake out, Throw up rocks and then earthquake.
  • dpiconani450.gif
Hippowdon: Laugh at these if they lack ice fang, which most of them do. Taunt first turn, rocks, then switch to azelf to set up a plot as they switch out.
  • dpiconani437.gif
Bronzong: Taunt, rocks and switch to azelf or salamence for flamethrower/fire blast
  • dpiconani291.gif
Ninjask: Rocks as they protect and then they will probably baton pass as i taunt their passed pokemon.
  • dpiconani248.gif
Tyranitar: Rocks first turn, then switch or earthquake depending on how much health i got left.
jolteon.png

Jolteon (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4DEF/252SPA/252SPEED
Timid nature (+SPEED, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Signal Beam
- Hidden Power - Ice

This girlie loves to come in on bolts aimed at starmie or come in for the revenge kill although usually I can take out 2 pokemon before i need to switch back out again due to specs giving such a big boost that i can 2hko most pokemon even with just neutral damage. Hidden Power - Ice is nice for taking out ground types and dragons, shadow bolt helps with ghosts and psychic pokemon, Rarely/never use signal beam looking for a replacement for that slot.

weavile.png

Weavile (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 40HP/252ATK/216SPEED
Jolly nature (+SPEED, -SAtk)
- Pursuit
- Ice Shard
- Low Kick
- Night Slash

Weavile is another great revenge killer with stab pursuit and ice shard, low kick makes quick work or snorlax and Ttar, as far as aerial ace, well I never use it really can easily change it for whatever. Most of the time after I kill 1 pokemon I have to switch out to something else though. Also unsure if brick break would be better than low kick.

azelf.png

Azelf @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4HP/252SATK/252SPEED
Timid nature (+SPEED, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Psychic
- Flamethrower
- Grass Knot

Since he is mainly used as a lead most people are surprised by the special sweeper version of Azelf. After just one nasty plot he can ohko so many pokemon, I especially love this guy when they switch out scizor for heatran as i plot then ohko heatran with psychic it just feels so good. After using him he is now my favorite special sweeper.

starmie.png

Starmie @ Expert Belt
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4HP/252SATK/252SPEED
Timid nature (+SPEED, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power - Dark
- Grass Knot
- Surf

This Starmie started out with rapid spin and recover but i never had time to get a spin in and recover didn't help enough to sacrifice a moveslot that i could use for more type coverage. Now everything seems normal other that Hidden Power - Dark, when people see Starmie they think, " Oh Noez!!!! HE Is Gonna Spinz Away All Ma Hazards!!!!" so they like to switch in ghosts and they are very surprised when they get owned by this super effective move! now yes this does mean i don't get to use ice beam but i can still get SE hits on latias with HP and salamence with Tbolt, if needed Jolteon and Weavile have ice moves as well.

salamence.png

Salamence (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidation
EVs: 232ATK/252SPEED/24SPATK
Naughty nature (+ATK, -SDEF)
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast

yes it's a dragon dancing salamence that everyone loves to deal with, if i get up 1 dance I'm pretty much assured atleast 2 kills and with out a dance outrage can still ohko lots of pokemon. I'm considering changing from naughty to naive in order to assure outspeeding other salamences when neither of us have a dance.

Creating the Team:

Well honestly i just took the 5 fastest pokemon in OU

and added a salamence because he is such a beast

and it has been working great

Mini Threat List!

*Scarfed pokemon can be annoying considering that my team is based around being faster although they usually only steal one kill before they switch back out or get killed themselves.

*Calm Mind latias can be troublesome if weavile is dead because latias is faster than unboosted salamence usually.

*Teams that have a ridiculous amount of priority moves, these are not too common but with too many sucker punches my team suffers, just wanted to throw it in here.

Hp Dark is retarded, switch it to Ice Beam, and switch GK to Recover or Rapid Spin. You have Starmie's ability as levitate...
You should test your team a little more before posting it =/

If you're worried about ghost types give the Weavile shadow claw or night slash? And since the starmie has GK, try energy ball on the Azelf. Other than that it looks good.

Give Starmie recover and leftovers as it's your best switch into fire type Pokemon, currently a simple scarf Heatran can easily 1-2hko your whole team. Also a neutral surf hits the Rotom formes harder than a SE hp dark 95*1,5>70*2. And yeah, rapid spin>GK as you have 2 Pkm weak to SR. You should consider switching to a more defensive variant of Starmie like: 252 HP\ 40 SpA\ 216 Spe.

This team has a lot of problems: Lucario can easily sweep it after a SD, you have no counters nor checks for DD TTar, SD Scizor is another massive threat, jolly Gyarados can outspeed Jolteon after a DD and proceed to sweep your team.

Adding a scarf-Jirachi over Azelf would at least give you the chance to revenge kill these threats:

Jirachi@choice scarf
nature: jolly
EVs: 4 HP\ 252 Atk\ 252 Spe
-iron head
-thunder punch
-fire punch
-trick\u-turn

I think that this team requires a lot of work.

@ Towelie: I was copying the one above then filling it in just forgot to switch the ability, and I have tested it.

@sucker punch: yeah I will try dropping aerial ace from weavile for night slash

@ Haunter: I will switch to the defeinsive starmie and see how it goes, same with the jirachi although i do enjoy azelf

thanks for the responses

Also a big T-tar weakness, as weavile's low kick is the only thing that can stop him, if he comes in on pursuit and you have to switch, stone edge or crunch will bring the pain. Thus, I second the idea of scarfrachi or mayby a machamp

I saw your thing about hoe you will stop brozong leads but you are aware that most zong leads will just gyroball the fuck out of aerodactyl and on your switch to azelf either way you are losing massive amounts of hp on a poke.
t-tar looks like can have a feild day with your entire team if it has dragon dance or if it's a tyranaboa
you look like rock polish metagross will sweep you as you have a huge weakness to steel types that goes completly unchecked beside with mence who if metagross has ice punch is done
a rain dance team will completly and I mean completly sweep your team. You honestly need some kind of fast bulky poke like kingdra with dragon dance or scarf other wise you'll have troubles you
