Hello friends, I'm Manbaby! The first 10 teams i made were all stall or balanced teams and none of them had any consistent successfulness so after getting tired of constant failure i decided to create a fast offensive team and it has been working very well, winning me most of my games and i thought it would be worthy for my first post and first rmt.
At a glance:
Aerodactyl (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4HP/252ATK/252SPEED
Jolly nature (+SPEED, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
This is definitely my favorite lead because with his 130 base speed and a focus sash I rarely have trouble atleast setting up SR and in the best case scenario i have been able to kill 2 pokemon with him before he is taken out.
Lead Comparison (stolen from IllMinded)
Jolteon (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4DEF/252SPA/252SPEED
Timid nature (+SPEED, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Signal Beam
- Hidden Power - Ice
This girlie loves to come in on bolts aimed at starmie or come in for the revenge kill although usually I can take out 2 pokemon before i need to switch back out again due to specs giving such a big boost that i can 2hko most pokemon even with just neutral damage. Hidden Power - Ice is nice for taking out ground types and dragons, shadow bolt helps with ghosts and psychic pokemon, Rarely/never use signal beam looking for a replacement for that slot.
Weavile (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 40HP/252ATK/216SPEED
Jolly nature (+SPEED, -SAtk)
- Pursuit
- Ice Shard
- Low Kick
- Night Slash
Weavile is another great revenge killer with stab pursuit and ice shard, low kick makes quick work or snorlax and Ttar, as far as aerial ace, well I never use it really can easily change it for whatever. Most of the time after I kill 1 pokemon I have to switch out to something else though. Also unsure if brick break would be better than low kick.
Azelf @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4HP/252SATK/252SPEED
Timid nature (+SPEED, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Psychic
- Flamethrower
- Grass Knot
Since he is mainly used as a lead most people are surprised by the special sweeper version of Azelf. After just one nasty plot he can ohko so many pokemon, I especially love this guy when they switch out scizor for heatran as i plot then ohko heatran with psychic it just feels so good. After using him he is now my favorite special sweeper.
Starmie @ Expert Belt
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4HP/252SATK/252SPEED
Timid nature (+SPEED, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power - Dark
- Grass Knot
- Surf
This Starmie started out with rapid spin and recover but i never had time to get a spin in and recover didn't help enough to sacrifice a moveslot that i could use for more type coverage. Now everything seems normal other that Hidden Power - Dark, when people see Starmie they think, " Oh Noez!!!! HE Is Gonna Spinz Away All Ma Hazards!!!!" so they like to switch in ghosts and they are very surprised when they get owned by this super effective move! now yes this does mean i don't get to use ice beam but i can still get SE hits on latias with HP and salamence with Tbolt, if needed Jolteon and Weavile have ice moves as well.
Salamence (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidation
EVs: 232ATK/252SPEED/24SPATK
Naughty nature (+ATK, -SDEF)
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
yes it's a dragon dancing salamence that everyone loves to deal with, if i get up 1 dance I'm pretty much assured atleast 2 kills and with out a dance outrage can still ohko lots of pokemon. I'm considering changing from naughty to naive in order to assure outspeeding other salamences when neither of us have a dance.
Creating the Team:
Well honestly i just took the 5 fastest pokemon in OU
and added a salamence because he is such a beast
and it has been working great
Mini Threat List!
*Scarfed pokemon can be annoying considering that my team is based around being faster although they usually only steal one kill before they switch back out or get killed themselves.
*Calm Mind latias can be troublesome if weavile is dead because latias is faster than unboosted salamence usually.
*Teams that have a ridiculous amount of priority moves, these are not too common but with too many sucker punches my team suffers, just wanted to throw it in here.
