Orcinus recalls his trusty Snorlax and instead sends out Mind the Mr. Mime, opting not to give him any items to hold. Mind doesn't waste any time as he slaps Short Fuse quickly, causing him to flinch! Unfortunately, the platform begins spinning around again, causing both Pokemon to fall into the spikes! It seems that the excess toxins on the platform have also sloshed out onto the spikes, which might poison Pokemon that fall back onto them!
After both Pokemon manage the grueling task of climbing back onto the metal platform, Short Fuse throws up a protective barrier, just in time for it to avoid Mind's hypnotic movements. After another stale action, the platform spins quickly again, throwing both Pokemon back into the spikes! It seems that this time, the toxins have managed to poison both of them as well! With both Pokemon in the spikes and badly poisoned, we could be seeing huge amounts of damage soon...

The spikes became coated in poison! Each Pokemon to fall into the Spikes will become inflicted with BPSN.
As Mind begins storing what little sunlight there is in the spike chamber, Short Fuse sends a seismic wave through the ground, causing it to ripple underneath Mind and lower its Speed! Mind strikes back, however, firing off a concentrated beam of white light at the Electivire, dealing critical damage despite the sad lack of natural light.
While Mind takes a brief moment to recover from the massive attack, Short Fuse seizes the opportunity and summons a large thunderbolt, dropping it down straight on top of Mind; meanwhile, the toxins continue to eat away at Mind's health.
Short Fuse launches another electrical attack at the Mr. Mime, who suddenly lifts its assailant up into the air, and flings it across the platform and straight at one of the large metal pillars, causing the Electivire to crash into it with a sickening crash. It miraculously picks itself up, though, and gets ready for another round of combat.

While Mind is forced to cool down, Short Fuse takes the chance to chill off as well, recovering some energy; all that and more is suddenly consumed, however, as Short Fuse suddenly pumps his adrenaline glands, keeping himself in fighting condition even as Mind kicks up a clump of mud at him! Short Fuse attempts to retaliate with a small spark of electricity, but the mud gets in his face and his attack hits a nearby metal pillar, conducting the electricity and shocking Mind! Mind jeers and gibes Short Fuse, provoking it into a rage, but then the platform begins to spin again, throwing both Pokemon into the pit and causing Short Fuse to faint!
As you catch your breath, you hear the familiar automated message.
