XY OU Spike Stacking stall team

Tentacruel:

This pokemon was achildhood favorite of mine, and I decided to try and fit it onto a team. It has amazing natural SpD and one of the best defensive typings ever. (It has more resistances than neutral) It also counters some really annoying walbreakers like keldeo and cm Clefable, and also serves as a very reliable spinner because it doesn't take huge hazard damage on entry.

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 224 HP / 252 Def / 32 Spe
Bold Nature
- Acid Spray
- Scald
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin

Clefable:

I needed a cleric so unaware clefable came to mind. It has a lot of mixed bulk and can actually handle greninja to an extent. It passes wishes really well which is really needed on this team because Tentacruel and heatran have no real way of recovery. It also gets rid of status which can plague stall otherwise.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpD / 4 Spe
Calm Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Moonblast
- Heal Bell

Heatran:

I needed something that could sponge up a ton of special hits and set up rocks. Heatran was pretty obvious choice. It also counters many annoying steel, and most of all talonflame because otherwise I have no real way to deal with it. This thing also spreads status like no other and forces tons of switches.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 192 SpD / 68 Spe
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Toxic
- Protect
- Stealth Rock

Gliscor:

Gliscor is immune to two of tentacruels weaknesses and also serves as my pseudo stallbreaker. It's an amazing physical wall with basically infinite recover along with being able to knock off items and kill heatran and other annoying steels reliably. It also can't be statused after the toxic orb activates which is invaluable at times.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spe
Impish Nature
- Taunt
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Knock Off

Skarmory:

Skarmory is one of the premier physical walls in the game and all of it's weaknesse are covered. This thing had excellent synergy in this team and I honestly couldn't find a reason not to include it because it also has access to spikes. Bravebird actually comes in really useful if it gets taunted or for the fighting types it gets free switches on.

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spe
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Spikes
- Brave Bird

Venusaur:

I wanted a grass type and ferrothorn seemed kind of useless because it just added to my weakness, and it really didn't check rotom-W either so I decided to fit venusaur into this team. It's an amazing pokemon that has reliable recovery and amazing natural bulk. It also wears things down with leech seed and has a great typing to boot because of thick fat.

Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Synthesis
- Leech Seed
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb

Again, the raters here are great and never fail to impress me with their knowledge of the game, so please leave a rate if possible, they're all appreciated!

Hi! Welcome to Smogon, and thanks for reading the RMT Rules. Onto the rate.

Interesting team, but no team is perfect.
Clefable I would replace with Sylveon for better bulk and better damage with Hyper Voice. Here's a set you could use.

Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Sp Def / 92 Def
Calm Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Heal Bell
- Protect
- Wish

Next is Heatran, I would recommend you run Air Balloon over Leftovers since Heatran is severely weak to Ground types. If you need to set up rocks, you can easily get rid of this weakness with Air Balloon.
Instead of Leech Seed on Venusaur, I would run Sleep Powder, so you can do a good chunk of damage to your opponent while they're asleep.
On Tentacruel, instead of Acid Spray, I would run Sludge Bomb/Wave for better damage.
Other than that, you're looking good.

Hope it helps.

I never even though about sylveon before, it will definitely help patch up my weakness to Landorus. I'll try sleep powder but with my luck it will miss more often then not, but it is good in theory. Acid spray was to prevent clefable from boosting too much SpD because then venusaur good deal with i easily, but i'll test out sludge wave.

Minor thing, but use Venusaur's other ability (that I can't spell) so it can take advantage of opposing weather prior to mega evolving. It can be helpful to mega evo while outspeeding opponents in the sun, then halfing damage from their fire attacks with thick fat.
