Spiritomb sets

I've looked at Smogon and I don't really like the setups that they have. Really my question is that can Spiritomb be a good SPwall? or best as just a mixed wall?

Thanks, Kara

Sure, the 3 immunities (normal, fighting, psychic) and the fact that nothing hits it for super effective makes it a pretty solid waller. Just throw a lot of EV's into HP and SpD

If you want to run Spiritomb as a speical wall rather than a mixed wall go right ahead, just invest more in SpDef. Spiritomb's defensive stats are completely even though, which is why most people make it a mixed wall. It also can make a solid attacker with the Hypnosis/Nasty Plot set, with no weaknesses it's difficult to OHKO and can hit back harder than more defensive sets. Hope this helped.

Or for plain novely give it max hp/df and then make it hypno/CM sweep/wall. Why 2x sp.atk when you can 1.5 sp.atk/1.5 sp.df. lol. But pure sweeping would perfer NP.

Spiritomb makes an awesome Special wall due to its typing. Its immune to the most popular physical attack type: Fighting.

Also with WoW, it can up its sp.def and not have to worry about its defence at all. Even with 0 def EV, it can survive much. =P

Calm Mind / Will-O-Wisp / Rest / Dark Pulse

It can do tremendous damage. Blissey walls the hell out of it though. Maybe Pain Split over Rest...

If you want to sweep with it and still have the utmost special walling capability, go for Calm, 252 HP / 196 Sp.Def / 60 Defense, which gives you the extra bonus point in Special Defense and a nice number for Calm Mind factoring in the 30 IV for Hidden Power [Fighting].

~ Calm Mind
~ Shadow Ball
~ Hidden Power [Fighting]
~ Pain Split / Rest
