SPL X PREDICTION TOURNAMENT​

You may have heard about the OST Predictions Tour, where participants can predict on all matches as they happen and whoever has the most points by the end of the tournament is declared the overall winner and is awarded a prize.

We're going to be doing that for SPL X this year.

There are some differences though. Instead of following OST's scoring system, we're going to be using this highly sophisticated™ point system:

10 points per game
25 points per series
600 points per playoffs participant
2000 points predicting the winner

As for the process, I will be posting a new form for predictions every monday after the pairings that week has been revealed. You then have roughly 24 hours for predictions before the form closes that week and you can no longer predict. Games completed before the form closes will be excluded from scoring. SPL players are not encouraged to delay their games to accomodate for this, and should play when they're able to.

To start off though, the first form predicting playoffs participants as well as overall SPL winner will be open from now until the start of week one.

Some people have asked me several times for a rundown:

5 users failed the simple task of imputting their own username, and instead wrote "no" or insults to me.
Nobody voted despite not having been logged in for over 5 years.
Yoshi is the only person that predicts that a team that didn't make playoffs will win SPL.
Though most players and managers in SPL put their team as the winner, Jimmy Turtwig, MetalGro$$, Nat, and passion all think otherwise. Additionally, Jimmy and passion didn't even think their own team will qualify for playoffs.

Important: I am nerfing the points from predicting playoffs teams/winners to 40/100 effective immediately. Mainly because as it stands they give so much points that you could've started predicting in week 7 and still been able to compete for the win as long as you got all of the playoffs teams right. That kind of ruins the whole point of being active if all of it depends on the first thing you did.

After regular season, LL has taken a (small) lead over TonyFlygon, who lead this for a while as well. Following not too far behind is Ursarox. A special shoutout to Mikaav and sexy_ampharos for predicting all 4 playoffs teams correctly!

And with that, SPL is over. Congratulations to Mannat (aka LL after a name change) for winning the entire thing, and for TonyFlygon martha Charmflash Ursarox Sieeeffmon for putting up a good fight.

A special shoutout to Mikaav too, who basically knew how SPL would end three months ago. They had all playoffs slots as well as the winner correct.
